Hey, how would you compare these to the blends? I’ve been looking at these and they seem kinda similar. I also wonder about which one has the most amount of rocker. And are there any other skis you would recommend? And where is Jeff?
The Chronic 101 has considerably more rocker than the Blend, and while the flex in the tips and tails is similar to the Blend, the midsection is not. Chronic is a lot thicker and stiffer underfoot while the Blend is very flexible throughout. In this range, I'd also check out the Elan Playmaker 101 for a light, fun, and floaty twin that is equally at home in the park and beyond.
I was very impressed with the composure and turning ability of the Chronic 101. I think if you stay within reason when it comes to thrashing around, the Chronic should hold up. The more hard landings you take on firm snow, the quicker those, or any ski, will deteriorate.
Personally, I had a stronger connection with the Chronic. I loved the stout and stable feeling underfoot while the tips and tails were very playful and engaging. The Faction did what it was told, but didn't offer me much else in terms of energy and pop like the Line did.
@@YHT81 Edollo is pretty stout. It uses ash, so it feels a lot more like the older ARV 96--part of the reason ARV went a bit lighter this year--so it feels very sturdy throughout while the Chronic really only feels strong underfoot. The Edollo is pretty heavy so it does take a bit more effort to get the same performance. That said, it's a lot more stable too, so if you're in the market for a strong 100 mm twin tip, this is the way to go.
Very flexible in the tips and tails as it gets very thin in those zones. The core profile is far thicker underfoot, giving the ski excellent grip in the middle zone.
While there's a bit more sturdiness in the Bent 100 for 2025, the mid-section of the Chronic is still considerably denser and heavier. I find the Bent to be more consistent from tip to tail while the Chronic's tips and tails are quite a bit more flexible than the rest of the ski. This makes Chronic more suitable to butters, tricks, and other creative applications while I feel the Bent is a better option for all-mountain skiing.

Which one would you choose for all-mtn/off piste playful riding for an intermediate, these or the 2024 bent 100?Also how is the durability on these?

Hi I am considering between Faction Prodigy 2 and Line chronic 101. which one is better for all mountain?

@@SkiEssentials Thank you. One more question. What about Armada Edollo campared with Line chronic?

Does it have a good bend?

Thoughts on this vs the 2025 Bent 100?
