Thanks Sean! We're so glad we could help you make better GFRC. Just to let you know, we now have a 25% CSA - GFRC SCC fast-set premix. Just add water and fibers and demold in 2-3 hours. trinic.us/collections/premixes/products/scc-premix-self-consolidating-concrete?variant=45107374096677
I’ve been coming back to this video once in a while for the past 3 years, and this is the one I keep on my mind for every job I do, Mark does not come out in your videos much now, but learnt everything from him, can’t thank him enough, absolutely one of the most informative channels when it comes to GFRC, and you won’t understand everything all at once unless you keep practicing and watch these videos repeatedly, wish you all the best!
Excellent description! Thanks for the detailed seminar. What is the thinnest panel that you have made with your GFRC admixtures and what was it's purpose and approx. weight per square foot? Do you have any feel for using these mixtures with foam for aircrete? My intended use is a vertical wall in a pond. It will be about 6-ft tall but will not need to support any side load or vertical compression load. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!
how about for poured in place cement based terrazzo flooring? I install a modernized Venetian style cement terrazzo and would like to be able to start grinding within 24hrs, if possible, rather than waiting 3-5 days. Would need enough time to place the mix, spike roll and trowel before it gets too hard. Mixing one batch at a time with one 94lb bag cement, 150-200lb aggregate, 50lb marble sand. Mixing with liquid polymer. Also do you think plasticizer and maybe adding some silica fume would aid in reducing pin holes?
You don’t have to but some sort of prep is highly recommended. There can be small pinholes below the surface that can be easily addressed before sealing. You can simply dry sand with 220 or 400 grit if you wish. Acid washing is faster.
Lastly, when I've done some face coat mix, I got Non-Newtonian liquid. I wonder what is the cause of that effect, becouse it makes big problem while mixing mix. On this movie this effect is almost reduced.
@@TrinicLLC thanks for your response. Your videos have been very helpful to a new concrete contractor like myself! I'll certainly have to get some additive to have handy when I need a fast turnaround.
@@mighali it shifts the color which isn’t a big deal, it is one more step and a little more money. Sometimes we want more working time so we are not rushing around.
What an amazingly detailed video and resource. Thank you

Wow, came out super clean! Thanks for the effort you put in to go in to such detail.
can you step on it? I'm interested in using this as flooring substitute for fiber cement boards.
Sure! People make tiles with GFRC all the time.
WOW! that GFRC tile is still tough as nails.
Voilà qui est très beau... associant art et science. Félicitations!
Your going to have to translate that to English for us😉
@@TrinicLLC You can use Google translate

Wish everyone stay safe. I do sculpture in Vietnam 🇻🇳 😍😍
Very nice, I just purchased a few bags, do you not need to acid wash 10-1 like your other video or is acetone good enough? Thanks

Where are you guys located!!? Have you ever considered in person classes??
We used to do them every single month but then Covid .....
Do you guys find you are consistently adding CSA or is it only for certain applications?
Only when we want it to set super fast. Most of the time we don’t

@@Dylan-SavedByGrace thanks! That is what we are here for
@@TrinicLLC I wonder why that is. Is CSA expensive? Does it affect the estetics of the surface?
