- Classic Game Room reviews MONSTER JAM: PATH OF DESTRUCTION for Nintendo Wii which features 28 real-life monster trucks, freestyle arena challenges and races! This monstertruck driving game is what it is... aimed at fans of monster trucks and kids with Grave Digger and Grinder posters on their walls. That being said the gameplay is fun, easy to pick up and play and thoroughly entertaining for the genre. Play with either the Wii wheel control or standard controls (preferred) and crush cars, busses and waste other punk ass monster trucks in a variety of race events in arenas across the great U.S. of A! The Wii is full of shovelware but I could see myself enjoying this game. Seems pretty well made.
It's also on PS3 and Xbox360. The graphics are cleaner in those versions and in addition to using a button to turn the rear wheels you can use the right thumbstick, which is much better.
This game is awesome on the wii, I remember my dad bought me this game at GameStop.

Some of the people I know are kind of like "game snobs" as they will only accept a simulation, which is weird because their fav. game isn't one either. lol.

At first I thought this is a PS3 game. And then there was the lame bus scene at 2:10 when I got suspicious this was when I thought it's a downloadable game for PS3 but then I was it's for the Wii. It's a pretty good looking game! This reminds me of an old monster truck toy I had when I was a kid, it was with a wired controller.
I'm surprised at how fun this looks...

Fun fact most wii games don't have shadows... because it's it's small console it can't really support that high of graphics so the shadow you see in MJPOD is actually it's own entity following the player/truck so it's basically standard wii graphics but yea it's really impressive especially for a wii game

This game do seem fun and im sure its better then the other too but they need to make newer Monster Jam games like Monster 4X4 Masters of Metal that game was so fun and the trucks did more things like the real ones did. The Monster Jam game in 2007 were fliping around like they were on crack or something I hated that one

I love game and also you don't have to do the backflips and the barrell rolls (well the backflips can happen nowadays so yeah) and again a game has it's flaws but thenagain all games have flaws and it's not bad once you ACTUALLY play the game

@shadowtsunami Alternately, I'd like to see Bussler release a revealing documentary about the use of monster trucks during the Civil War. Little-known fact: the turning point during the Battle of Antietam occurred when Lincoln himself showed up in his monster truck ("The LoggKabin") and crushed most of Stonewall Jackson's Second Corps under his enormous tires.

@RDV333 I agree with everything you have said but you seriously believe online is a gimmick?? Online multiplayer is one of the most revolutionary things that have happened to video games and i really hope the next Nintendo console has good online support

I have this game for Xbox and wii but for some reason the wii version is better physics wise. I would suggest soft body physics for the next game... (Would you kno when the next game comes out and what it will be called?)

i dont know bout you guys but i think of the game as a simulation game ..... unlike urban assault it has no city levels where ur crashing into buildings and little mini games like skeeball and ect. this is all real life stadiums and badass fudging trucks!!!

Its a shaper image. The wii's virsion seems a little dull. Plus better graphics
