Making the DOUBLE Envelope Wallet from Leather
The Double Envelope Wallet is the most requested leather pattern we've had in a long time - it's our two pocket version of the classic leather envelope pattern. In this tutorial we take you step-by-step through making this original pattern from start to finish, and it's a real beauty! If you stitched the tops of the diamond and not the sides on one side, you could get a nice little 1/4 fold cash pocket there. 😊

I put the inner snap on the diamond piece before I glued it all up to reduce scratching on the cards on the interior. Though I imagine the snap also helps hold it closed, but I agree either way, the stitching will do it's job to hold it all together nicely! This is such a great design. Simple and elegant!

I heard you say double punching. I've been making small biker type wallets. I like the unskived look with the thickness. But a few times the back holes get askew and are closer to the edge the the front. How can I remedy that?
