Several years back there was an election in Thuringia (Thüringen) and the AfD secured a large ammount (23-26%) of seats. And, as is law, when it came to electing the prime minister of the country the AfD was allowed to put their votes in for the man they thought best suited. Now, their own candidate wasnt getting the majority of votes, and so they decided to put their votes into another candidate, the one from the FDP. Thomas Kämmerich. He then went on to win the election...and all hell broke loose! For he had committed the ultimate crime...the unspeakable thing, the horror of being elected with votes from the AfD!! Which of course, in a democratic society is a complete and utter no-go! How could he dare be voted in by votes of a party that all the other parties said was undemocratic and inhale fas cystic!? It was only brave and true of the other parties to refuse to shake his hand and congratulate him on his victory, the bravest of all, the left, even threw flowers at his feet! How truly stunning and brave indeed! Of course the brave troops of the Antifa were mobilised immediately too, and they went to smash the house of he who had comitted crimes against democracy, and threatened the family of the evildoer! More so, even our own chancelor, the great and wise Mother Merkel, who was in South Africa on a diplomatic mission to bring wisdom and enlightenment to the poor south africans, said as chancelor that such an event was not to be, that it had to be "reversed", to secure the democratic integrity in germany! Of course, eventually the man broke under the constant harrassment and threats to his loved ones and rescinded his post. Afterwards there was another election, and the AfD, out of protest refused to vote. Which eventually lead to the old Prime Minister, Bodo Ramelow, whose party had lost the vote, being reinstated in his old post, and thus "democracy" was restored in Germany. And so the illusion of a free and democratic system was forever shattered for me and many others.
