      If I needed help with mine could I send you it to put together? Same stuff, start stop button, ultra pitch, pre amp

      Would obviously pay for postage to and fro, and for you time.

    nice to be able to assemble all this at once. The budget howerver is huge. I just bought two ION turntables for 70€ and they are the same as the Numark. You can also add mods on them. Also, I'm searching for second hand cartridges now but nothing cheap for now! I love to find the lower money and better quality ratio, a kind of challenge but not impossible! Happy scratch practice.

    I got the Jessie Dean fader, installed it, and had to contact him for a replacement because it was defective. Probably due to a similar issue. He was OK about sending me another one, but he made me send him pictures of the install, which was slightly offensive.

    I installed the tonarm kit last week. Anyone else have issues with the original tonearm switch hitting the JDD preamp?

    Hello everyone! I'm thinking about buying Stanton STX. But I'm not sure. I want to learn scratch. Is a portable turntable a good choice compared to a standard turntable? For me the advantage of a portable turntable is that it has a built in crossfader so you don't need a mixer and you can hide it anywhere... 😁🙃

      I did get a bluetooth receiver for it, just forgot to include in the video, makes it so much simpler to play beats through it!

    Um....did you happen to see the "stanton STX" yet? Everything you did to this pt01 is already done for on the stx.

    Nice, does the new tonearm prevent you from playing 12" records? Ive heard thats an issue

    Hi! Can you tell me please, what type of needle is better for scratch? Plastic or mettalic needle

    • @simmadub
      @simmadub  Год назад +1

      I'd definitely recommend not using the plastic needles that come pre-installed and using a regular stylus, like this Ortofon one I am using. the plastic ones are much more likely to cause damage to records and also won't sound as good.
      But if you are new to this world and just playing around with it for fun with records that you don't mind potentially damaging, then the plastic one would be fine to start with. no point spending all that money on better equipment if it's not needed!

    Hi, can you tell what cartridge and stylus you have here? Im also thinking about buy tonearm PCB but not sure if i will able to adjust cartige, there is no posobiloty od that

    • @simmadub
      @simmadub  Год назад

      this is an Ortofon VNL cartridge/stylus, you do have the ability to adjust it like a regular cartridge by loosening the screws, calibrating the position, then tighterning up. I got the cartridge/needle as part of a bundle with the tonearm from Turntable Training Wax

  • @RookieRay
    @RookieRay Год назад

    what ORTOFON cart/needle did you get?

    • @simmadub

      VNL cartridge, as a bundle with the tonearm via Turntable Training Wax. Happy with it for sure

    • @simmadub
      @simmadub  Год назад

      stickers are just from a lifetime of collecting (or hoarding?), do you recommend a belt upgrade? It didn't seem necessary from what I read, but do you think it makes a difference?
