      It cracks me up that she wants to appear insane, prison is a far better environment than a forensic psych ward.
      She has no idea what vile things await her.
      I'm a retired Registered Nurse, I have worked in psychiatry and had colleagues who had worked with criminally insane patients and who described the wards.
      The criminally insane are no fun to be around.
      They scream 24/7, throw feces and urine around, self harm, harm others... Everything is tied down, she might only eat finger foods because cutlery is restricted, including plastic ones, her clothes will be things that cannot be used to self harm or harm others.
      All patients are on serious medications with awful side effects...
      Leticia doesn't have a clue what awaits her if she wins.
      She'll be locked up either way!

      "She" really hasn't made any decisions. Her attorneys are now her mouthpieces, and they decided to plead guilty by reason of insanity because they're trying to get the best possible terms for her. If it looks like "she's getting destroyed," it's because you (like most people) have an incomplete understanding of what an insanity defense entails. Please understand that I'm not being insulting or demeaning here. But when folks do not understand the legal system and it doesn't render the verdict they want, they get frustrated or disenchanted. Be prepared: Dr. Lewis's testimony should be interesting if you actually listen to her rather than yelling at your screens (which many people will be doing).

    • @pricklypear7516
      @pricklypear7516 Год назад +2

      @@savannahbell5674 The case that set the precedent for insanity pleas was the 1843 M'Naghten trial, which -- grossly simplified -- held that a person could be insane at ONLY the moment of the crime. It resulted in the M'Naghten Test, later fine-tuned with the Irresistible Impulse Test. Together, they form the basis for arguing that a person could be perfectly normal and then just "snap." (But "arguing" is not necessarily the same as actually convincing people. Insanity pleas seldom work with juries.) Letecia's lawyers have already said that she suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. I'm pretty sure that Dr. Lewis (a paid expert witness) will be trying to establish that Letecia's many stories, the various names she used, her different attempts at a variety of personas are all evidence of her condition. So, yes, much of what has already occurred in the trial actually CAN work in Letecia's favor. It will be interesting to watch.

But the important point is that this is not about the audience’s entertainment, it is about getting justice to Gannon and his parents, and so far, the trial is moving in the right direction. First best would have been that Gannon was living and was healthy, the second best will be that his killer/killers get the most brutal punishment that is there, and at the same time an example is set in history that nobody can get away with such crimes. This trial has increased my respect for Law enforcement.

    Looks to me that Leticia had a beautiful home and husband in Colorado. Only a manipulative, evil person could have that up as bad as she did! I wonder how long Leticia knew her husband before they married?
    She seems like the type of woman who is not grounded in reality and is willing to change, do or say twist or bend anything in order to get her way... Especially with men. 😮 People like her need meds or need to be in a mental hospital. Because all they do is ruin the ones that they love. So horrible for her ex-husband I feel horrible that he lost his son due to this monster. I feel horrible for Harley. Somebody who is grounded in reality looks in on this trial and wonders how people can be fooled and easily manipulated. Leticia is very cunning. Her daughter was raised under Leticia's manipulation so that's all her daughter knows. It's awful! What really upsets me is that she uses God and prayer to cover her devilish ways! If Harley did know I'm sure her mother made sure to manipulate whatever information was going on in that vehicle! I think Harley was truly scared of her mother. I haven't look up Harley yet. So I don't know much about her. I do know getting a daughter to turn on her mother in court solidifies her mother going to prison for the rest of her life and then some. Her mother is the "MAIN MONSTER'' in this horrible case. Let's just hope and pray her daughter learns from her mother's horrible choices in life and goes on to become a successful beautiful soul of a woman.

    Marriage for trade seldom works out well. You can't just hook up with the worst person you know, that you fight with all the time, and expect that they'll be different to your kid. The major thing lacking overall among these adults is love. Even early on, I sense no love between the dad and the step mom, nor any from them for any of the children involved. Including Gannon.
    Dad hasn't an ounce of sorrow in him, but seems more interested in nailing his battlesome wife - and don't tell me people "grieve" differently. If he's grieving he already knows what's up, and you'd have to be brain dead not to know what's up. In any event, he seems to excuse himself quite neatly from all responsibility as a parent, which means Gannon had nobody. If stepmom did this, and mom is far away and dad makes no claim to his own son's safety, then who DID care for this poor child? No one. Apparently.

    I find it odd, that with as high profile as this case has been, and the amount of resources in place to dot all the I’s, and cross all the T’s, why in the world have all of the evidentiary photos and videos been of such horrible quality? I would think that they’d want to use only the best possible equipment to capture premium quality content for evidentiary purposes, but call me crazy. 🤷‍♀️

It's quite obvious she never loved Gannon's dad for one she murdered his son and then she is holding onto the truth, lying and essentially making it all about her.
