Really helpful to know it's just a pull replacement... have lost some knuckles trying to turn it!
Thank you!
I've recently started using gloves while working even on simple jobs like this, it really helps with reducing the bruised knuckles
same here. always tried to turn it :D . now that i know its pull. its really easy to change
Why do they leave it so tight for those of us with big hands
Thank you. You've just saved me a fiver at Halfords ☺
Helped a lot, thank you!

Thanks my friend
My Sidelights on the Golf have a H7 bulb connector.
I tried this, had to use pliers to get it out because it wss in tight, now the light wont turn on at all and my bulb warning light is on. Have i messed a wire up do you think?
Can check the connection with a voltmeter for 12v or you could have a bad new bulb.
Any tips on changing them on xenon headlight. Thes have the parking light underneath the headlight over were the blinker is.
Sorry, haven't seen the xenon headlight before. I got the regular halogen ones.
@@ZakiGarage not to worry, I got them out with some small pliers and on the driver side I had to take of the intake and filter changed them for some halogen look bulbs an it looks nice next to the xenon white
are you just gonna pull it or twisth and pull?
Just pulling
@@ZakiGarage thanks
Which watt No bulb 10watt or 5watt ??
Good question but I never checked when buying these bulbs.
12 volts and 5 watts
Either I'm pulling it out wrong, or it's stuck in there - as I cannot make this bulb come out. Any ideas?
Can't get the build out of the fitting or the light out of the headlight
@@larsharmsen9353 light out of the headlight
@@AndyN103 it should pull out I used small needle nose pliers to get them out
I just changed the passenger side now onto the hard one on the driver side it took some effort pulling them out just carefully pinch them on the flat side
Nice one, that worked
I will hire an Ethiopian asap
help. i have a mk5 r32 xenon but my side lights are built in my indicator lense, one of them not working.. brought me to this video , car is new to me but ive changed max fuses and bulb and even headlight control unit switch. but still only got one parking light. it has always said front parking light not working on my dash for 12 mths ive had the car.
I'm not familiar if this car has a common issue as you described. But if you already changed the bulb and its not working I would check with a voltammeter if you're getting 12v at the bulb connector, if you have no voltage there I would start working my way back on the wires and look for where the the voltage is stopping, you might need a wiring diagram for the car to do this and your issue could be a broken wire somewhere or a bad new bulb that you tried on. Also, don't do anything to the xenon wires, those are very dangerous if you don't know what are you doing.
@@ZakiGarage found my problem, i didn't relize i had 2 seperate bulb holders for parking light /indicator, i thought they was on the same bulb, problem solved, thanks anyway 👍
@@zd74 That's good to hear 👍
@@zd74how do u get the light bulbs out of the headlight is it just a pull or do I need to twist them. I got xenon ones too
