Im going to give you a tip for driving in the winter. Remember you are driving on ice even if it does not look like it. Slow down and remember that Reindeer and Moose like to use roads because it is very easy to walk around on them. Always have extra clothes in the car when you drive because if your car break down in -35c you will be dead within an hour or two. Stay dry when working outside during cold weather. That means working slower so you don't sweat a lot. Also have a snow shovel and an axe in the car during winter. It has saved me many times when I have gotten stuck with my car in the snow. (Axe is for chopping down branches of Pine or Fir to put between your tires and the ice/snow.)
Ohh...and the car engine coolant. See to it that you have additives in it so it does not freeze up on you. Up there I could recommend that you have coolant that can withstand -30c. Also if you don't have one. Engine-block heater is a must for the car.
oo yess (naomi here) I need this advice as I am not a confident driver! so thank you! also your advice is so helpful great idea about the branches and clothes! we will need to do another preparing for winter car edition. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and giving us advice it means so much to us! ❤️❤️
Also the axe is for if you hit an animal. Nothing worse than having a screaming animal next to your car and having to wait for the police to come and kill it.

I grew up near where you live now (I live in Umeå now). I don't know if anyone told you about the black plastic bags that people put on the orange plow sticks? The sami population put those black bags on the sticks so you know where the reindeers are currently searching for food. So if you see a black plastic bag - slow down.
In a land where they have snow 6 months or more each year, the red houses look so beautiful. They probably painted them red, so they could find the houses in the snow. More to come Young Lady. You may get sick of snow before its done. I know you will be positive and find the joy in it all.

My wife’s family is from exactly that area +- a few km. I totally love it any time of the year. The winters range from very cold to very very cold :-) (coldest i’ve experienced there was -43C) with crispy hard snow that qives a nice sqeeky sound when you walk on it. It can be quite harsh but you will have many beautiful days and nights with a lot of aurora borealis. Listen to your local friends experience and you will learn to appreciate it. A tip is to get a reindeer skin/fur and you will never freeze when sitting on what ever nature offers you. I like your spirit in doing this. Keep up the good work.

Hi Naomi and Jack! Recently I had a hiking accident and broke both bones in my right leg (ouch!), which forced me to stay home. That plus the impossibility to travel this year due to COVID, I started to watch travel-related videos on YT and came across one of yours and immediately subscribed to your channel. In two weeks I binge watched all of your content! I love your videos and I love how being so young both of you are so mature for your age. Thank you for sharing so many possitive things and your beautiful new home and country. Keep up the great work! Bye for now from Alabama, USA.

Jack ! When you change tires , first of all , check that you put them in the right rotationdirection . Thats important IF there is arrows on the side on the tires . Then get a proper jack next time you visit . It'll cost you 200:- ant those are better then the original jack provided with the car . Its only for emergency . And Jack , in sweden we run on the left side on the rosd . So you will meet the car instead of having them sneaking up behind you ! Good luck to you both ! I love your videos and had alot fun watching them . My wife comes from kenya but she has lived in sweden in over 20 years now so she has been " domesticated ; ) ! " She enjoys aswell looking at your videos ! All the best now !
There's a saying and even some songs that express the way you felt about your visit: "I hate to see you leave, but I love to see you go." I imagine people who seek a rural like you and Jack love the solitude and especially after being in such a busy place such as London. Love your videos, keep them coming!
No one ever seems to visit anything but our big cities. I live in Östersund and the view from Frösötornet is insane. Both urban and nature with lakes and mountains.
@@KarlOlofsson Dude!, I was just talking with a friend about this. In my town we just get a few germans and the chinese bus tours, but on the other hand. I can see why the big cities are more attractive, with all the restaurants and amusements just around the corner.

Representing West Africa here. We are from the states but currently staying at our lovely warm place in Ghana. Seeing your first snow is a blessing to experience it from afar. We love, love your videos. They are amazing. You have done great work with the renovation so far. Lovely couple you are. You have put in a lot of sweat equity and are enjoying your great investment. Cows and reindeers, what else can one ask for? We also loved the drone view. Keep on channeling your inner strength into great things. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait for the next video. We love the fact that we are not seeing the everyday makeup the lavish lifestyle just two people who are in love and trying to make it in life. You are both inspiring a lot of people. After watch this video we both decided to subscribe to you channel on our various phone. Just to show our support. Stay strong, focus and humble. 👏👏🙏🙏
I'm sure you were a marvelous host to friends and family. You both have nice manners and have been brought up well. I love how you just do things, even difficult things. You just dive in and get it done. Not rocket science after all. You are an amazing young couple.
I COMPLETELY 100% understand the introverted thing, I am 24 from Jamaica and I really enjoy being around family and friends and hosting but I also enjoy being by myself, maybe a bit more, to the point where I will take off- and I mean disappear into my own bubble and not speak to anyone for weeks. I do understand how the people I care about would feel and sometimes get frustrated by this, hence, it really is a battle in my mind because I care and love them but I also value my alone time. I randomly stubbled upon your channel and I really enjoy your videos they make me see life in a part of the world that I am very interested in and is so different from my own country, that I would love to visit or possibly live one day, also I feel like that part of Sweden is like introvert heaven lol, your channel is GOLDEN and both it and the business will flourish because you are manifesting and putting in the time and effort and it also helps that you guys seem like genuinely good people that are trying a ting and creating a life together and are building a cute little community on here. Big up yourselves and I am wishing you two the very best!
Ive liked and subscribed and wish you all the bast. I will watch with interest as i do many other s. It,s so much better than t.v as i like real life. I was brave enough myself to follow my dreams and ive lived in Portugal for 8 years and 6 years in Spain . I like the mild winters .
Hello from the US (Georgia)! In my frustration with COVID and the US Elections, I was daydreaming about escaping to Europe and binge watching Escape to the Country from the UK. Those videos led to videos on househunting in Germany and then I found your video about buying your beautiful little home in Sweden!! I was hooked instantly and binge watched your whole new adventure, along with some of your wedding videos. I am so absolutely charmed by your videos, by your relationship with each other, and by your sense of wonder at the world. You both seem like truly lovely people and I look forward to your weekly video posting. Congratulations on finding a way to live your life with both purpose and peace. You guys are an inspiration!
I only just started watching your videos last month, but I love them. I also love how you make renovating to make your home livable simple, that shows me that at 59 years I could also do the same.

I to am an intervert I understand you guys very well. When dealing with family and friends we are really great at interacting with them. Moreover when we're alone we are the most happiest. It's complicated when explaining this to folks because they just don't get it sometime.
Another new subscriber and a fellow introvert here. So glad I have found both of you. I've been in Sweden for 4 months in 2014 and want to move there ever since. If you guys don't know her yet.. there's a lovely Swedish woman who makes beautiful content, her name is Jonna Jinton. I've been following her for quite some time but I always missed to have info on how it is to move to Sweden as a foreigner. I love discovering your channel at the beginning of your journey and look forward to being part of your adventure. I'll watch the adds so it'll bring some money in! Wishing both of you an amazing time in Sweden and I am looking forward to how you will experience the winter!
Your reaction to the first snow is exactly how I would be. Love it. Really hope I get to experience this one day. In the meantime I will continue to watch your amazing vlogs, thanks for sharing.

Hi you two.I lived in Sweden many many years ago , i loved it. I was a lot further south than you but like you loved the weather. The clean air, the lovely people, if you have a Swede for a friend you have a friend for life. good luck in your new life there, enjoy Christmas and St Lucia. cutting your own christmas tree ,.
I really like your videos. I also live in the north of Sweden. So just saying; being introvert is a good thing when you live up here! The winter is yet to come and you have done well in preparing for winter. But to really live through a winter is hard to understand before you done it. Swedes in the south don’t understand. So ask neighbours and friends for help if you need to. If you ask you will get help, that is how it is in the north, you help. But they may not say that before you ask. So good luck to you both! Thumbs up!
aww thanks! we have ones at the start and the end! we just hated watching videos with many ads, so we decided to do unto others as we would to us haha !but this means so much to us Thank you so much for watching and commenting ❤️❤️
Agree completely. While I appreciate no commercials mid-vid; if it's a make or break thing and you need the extra income, don't worry about the ads. We'll gladly sit through them.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting it means so much to us! and i know you stayed till the end soo an even bigger thank you! sending you love and peace and praying you have a joyful life too ❤️❤️
One tip I can give that I've heard about is, in case your car breaks down and you're stuck in the cold, to make sure you have a big package of "tealights" (värmeljus) in your car and a lighter. It won't be much, but lighting a couple (like 3-5) at a time will help to keep the heat up in the car for some time until help arrives. It will still get below 0, but any heat source will feel like heaven in such a situation :)

As someone who is from the North of Sweden I have never seen any RUclipsr film and show the beauty of my home in this way. I'm currently studying in South Korea surrounded by high buildings and no forest in sight. I didn't realise how much I could miss home and how beautiful it really is over there, and just like you guys said the calm and knowing everyone has its perks as well. I'm really happy seeing you guys make friends and I hope you'll get to experience more of how nice people from the north can be especially in the countryside! I'm so happy I found you guyses channel in august and I am always waiting for the next video, I am so happy seeing someone portray my home in this way and point out the beauty of it all! Thank you guys for giving me a time to relax and just see a bit of home when I can't go back due to Covid.

Like you, I'm an introvert. Totally understand what you say about how hosting people is a precious time, but can be tiring or draining. Perhaps that's why the Swedes "invented" guest stugas - somewhere that guests can have their own space - perhaps that could be a project for next summer? PS So happy to be your FIRST Patreon supporter - love the way you're sharing your story!

@@NaomiandJack It was worth it for the "welcome dance" for new supporters! My cottage is down south, but hoping to come up north next summer. Definitely up for fika 🍰 if I'm in the area.
That's exactly what I plan to have in my next home! A space for guests with their own amenities so they can cook what they like to eat. It's just overwhelming 3 meals a day plus entertaining them. I want to enjoy them without being their servant. 🙈
Oh the landscape and your comments of meeting people - and doing your art!!! So kool. Amazing - not to mention picking blueberries - strangers in a strange and wonderful land!
You are so awesome, both of you! I always thought that London got a ton more snow than we do in the Smoky Mountains of the US but not quite as much as the Rocky Mountains. Who knew? You will get your groove having friends and family over. And friends and family will not expect more from you. They might offer suggestions or ask if they can do something. And you don't have to talk to and keep someone busy every minute they are there. How exhausting for everyone if you try! Get some games/boardgames (3). And enjoy! Great video!

Awhh glad you like it thank you so much. We are really enjoying retelling our life in story format, it is very cathartic for us❤️
i love how your poetic contemplations give another layer to all of this...so nice! keep up great work both of you....
" She enjoys aswell looking at your
videos ! All the best now !
There's a saying and even some songs that express the way you felt about your visit: "I hate to see you leave, but I love to see you go." I imagine people who seek a rural like you and Jack love the solitude and especially after being in such a busy place such as London. Love your videos, keep them coming!
I didn't know Sweden was so beautiful!
One of the most amazing places I have been, you must visit ❤️❤️
No one ever seems to visit anything but our big cities. I live in Östersund and the view from Frösötornet is insane. Both urban and nature with lakes and mountains.
@@KarlOlofsson Dude!, I was just talking with a friend about this. In my town we just get a few germans and the chinese bus tours, but on the other hand. I can see why the big cities are more attractive, with all the restaurants and amusements just around the corner.
❤️
I really enjoy your videos, the process and progress. Your honest words, your wise words and the way your using those words. Thank you for sharing your lives with me, personally and the world❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
love you guys!!!
Hi from India. I love watching your videos and wish you both all the success you so deserve
Love watching your Journey!🙂👍
Representing West Africa here. We are from the states but currently staying at our lovely warm place in Ghana. Seeing your first snow is a blessing to experience it from afar. We love, love your videos. They are amazing. You have done great work with the renovation so far. Lovely couple you are. You have put in a lot of sweat equity and are enjoying your great investment. Cows and reindeers, what else can one ask for? We also loved the drone view. Keep on channeling your inner strength into great things. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait for the next video. Blessings to both of you.
Heyyyy! thank you for commenting and representing the mother land. We really are enjoying the fruits of our back breaking labour haha! God has really blessed us, we really couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much for watching and commenting it means so much to us! ❤️❤️
You guys are adorable and refreshingly entertaining.
My husband and I both watch you videos, we admire you both so much. The videos are so calming and relaxing even when your working heard lol. 👏👏🙏🙏
You guys are doing so great. How you got the energy to renovate and travel is amazing. The house is nice.
Hey Jack & Naomi you are such a beautiful couple!
Your Videos are soo good! They get better and better. I can't wait to see the first deep snow at your beautiful home❄🌨
I remember the excitement I felt seeing snow for the first time - drifting down ever so softly over me! Magical!
Ive liked and subscribed and wish you all the bast. I will watch with interest as i do many other s. It,s so much better than t.v as i like real life. I was brave enough myself to follow my dreams and ive lived in Portugal for 8 years and 6 years in Spain . I like the mild winters .
From an introvert I hear you, refueling time is so necessary, but remember you will have long still times of the Swedish winter !
60 years ago I spent a winter in Finish Lapland. I loved it and I am enjoying your podcast. Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year to both of you.
So fun watching your reaction to snow! You two are just lovely to watch.
Naomi the tree 🎄 hugger🤗...love you guys ☮️♥️💡
I only just started watching your videos last month, but I love them. I also love how you make renovating to make your home livable simple, that shows me that at 59 years I could also do the same.
awhh this means so much to us! we sometimes wonder what the point of our videos are! but if you are inspired even to renovate your home to make it more functional for you then we have done something right! Thank you so much for watching and commenting it means so much to us! ❤️❤️
Praying your channel grows beyond a million subscribers 🙏🙏
Naomi I could listen to you talk all day, you have such a lovely voice. I pray that
God will continue to bless you and Jack. Lol from London.❤❤❤👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much for watching and commenting it means so much to us! May God bless you too ❤️❤️
I agree. Naomi would be lovely as a newsreader! The bad news wouldn’t seem so bad then!
Sending love from Jamaica admire you too so much been watching you for a while now
I too understand the quiet and the enjoyment of the quiet . It's cool that u are taking the time to even make your bonds with each other even stronger and deeper . I am really enjoying your vlogs I just recently found you a bout 2 months ago . Binge watched when I first found u . Still look forward to your next vlog thank u for sharing .
Thanks so much for your comment Tanya! So glad you are enjoying our content, hope you are safe and well ♥
Hi you two.I lived in Sweden many many years ago , i loved it.
Thumbs up!
Thanks for inspiring me for the coming week. Love you guys again from South Africa.
I don’t mind the mid commercials to be honest-it’s a way to support y’all :)
aww thanks! we have ones at the start and the end! we just hated watching videos with many ads, so we decided to do unto others as we would to us haha !but this means so much to us Thank you so much for watching and commenting ❤️❤️
Agree completely. While I appreciate no commercials mid-vid; if it's a make or break thing and you need the extra income, don't worry about the ads. We'll gladly sit through them.
LOL !!! She's so happy it's snowing. In 4-8 weeks she won't be so happy.
The drone videos are so beautiful.
I just love this video it's very calming and inspiring. Thank you 💗💝💝💗💓💞
Exactly, enjoy life and love!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting it means so much to us! and i know you stayed till the end soo an even bigger thank you! sending you love and peace and praying you have a joyful life too ❤️❤️
@@NaomiandJack thank you guys. Wishing you guys much success, peace and love and many Blessings!
Better to have warm clothes in the car. Lighting enough candles to make a difference would be risky inside a car
@@eddieolsson5449 We used them inside an empty tin can and they worked just great. Both candles and extra warm clothes and blankets are a must!
@@eddieolsson5449 here in Canada it’s part of the recommended winter safety kit. There is no real danger if you use them as instructed inside a can.
They can save your life.
Love you guys!!! From Texas...Yes you guys are enjoying life to the fullest..
Naomi and Jack, you guys did an awesome job fixing up the house!! And Jack, I'm so impressed with the work you did in the garage. That was a lot of work!!! Thank you for sharing your incredible journey together. 💕
I really like the painting by the dancin guy!
Yes, I too have hit the Like button and subscribed. My ancestory is from Sweden. So when I watch each of your videos I think of how it would have been if my Great Grandparents and Grandparents had stayed in Sweden. How I wish I could be there. Loved how you quoted out of the Book of Ecclesiastes. May the Lord continue to Bless you both and watch over you in ALL that you do for His Glory. I have many Swedish Recipes, would you like for me to share them with you, so you can share them with your good friends in Sweden. Of course the Swedish Meatballs, Swedish Pancakes, the way they were made over 200 years ago. Love and hugs, Lisa Peterson Tesch
I just love the look around your house and the deers, they are so beautiful whooooo i enjoyed watching as always god bless 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I really love your channel guys I’m a new subscriber but I have been watching all your videos every day Naomi you are so beautiful and Jack he is so handsome 👍👍👍👍the good lord will continue to bless and protect you all🙏🙏🙏
💘
This is so beautiful! I am watching you guys from the USA, "You Rock" beautiful couple.
Love Naomi's narrating voice, also congratulations on the snow up there.
All the way in South Africa. Love you videos 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I am sooo happy to see you guys doing so well, growing and in love. It's Really Inspiring 💖🙏🏿
I am so happy and proud of you both! It is great to see your channel growing! I have always quietly rooted for you guys as I thought you were more than just a couple, living in a small apartment and pursuing your careers. You guys are two intelligent individuals with so much to offer. I am glad you have found in Sweden, an opportunity to grow and create wonderful content. Continued success!
You are so genuine and beautiful ,yes show the enjoyment and love ,this is what we must see more and more and every day!xx
Thank you for sharing your life with us 🥰 I love the narrating outside Naomi and Jack's drone skills are no less than I would expect! ❤️ What a wonderful community you are building here, I read all the comments, they are lovely to see ❤️
Always love the videos that you post. Best of luck with the approaching winter ; the first snow has fallen here on the mountains but it is already turned cold. The first time ever I saw snow was in Germany ( - 26 ). Uuuuuffffff ! Here in Tehran, the coldest ever was - 22 !
Keep safe and keep warm 🌺🌹❤️🎁🪔🇵🇹🌺🎁🪔🇵🇹
yes Naomi dahlin you are making very good sense! i live alone and i been living alone most of my life here in GA and i freaking love it! i am sort of an introvert/extravert. i love people but mostly i love being alone. and i love animals. i have a lovely boyfriend in Florida and we been together for 16 years and we love our own space. (he's been married twice and i been married once and we don't want to get married again) we are very happy with the way our arrangement is. so it's all good. enjoy life is the bottom line and why try to fix something that is not broken.
Hi Naomi and Jack I just love looking at your videos it makes me feel so good to know that there are two people so in love, love nature and how you explain the nature and the things that you see and how beautiful the landscape is. Working on your home was making me so tired but I can see the two of you were enjoying every moment of it. I live in the United States and I am 77 years old but watching your videos give me such joy and it just makes my day I can’t wait to look for another new updated video from you guys. The both of you are absolutely wonderful and I will become a supporter. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. As soon as the Covid-19 is under control I will be traveling throughout Europe again hope one day to run into the two of you
Those use so beautiful ❤️ we hope to run into you also and have fica! Thank you for taking the time to comment and support ❤️😊
I have been binging on your videos. Absolutely love love love you videos. I appreciate you narration. Thank you for allowing me to see a part of your experience as it has inspired me.
Oh woow, Thank you so much! firstly for teaching us another Swedish word to vocabulary and also for being our first supporter! It means more than you can imagine thank you so much! Also which part of Sweden are you from, you should come down for Fica, if you are near Norrbotten xx
@@NaomiandJack It was worth it for the "welcome dance" for new supporters! My cottage is down south, but hoping to come up north next summer. Definitely up for fika 🍰 if I'm in the area.
Omg I watch your videos too Jennifer Carter. I think what you’ll did is really brave. And it’s so lovely that you share it with us ❤️
@@NaomiandJack it's called "gäststuga" (gäst = guest, stuga = cottage) in Swedish :)
That's exactly what I plan to have in my next home! A space for guests with their own amenities so they can cook what they like to eat. It's just overwhelming 3 meals a day plus entertaining them. I want to enjoy them without being their servant. 🙈
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate an add free video. Love your videos and am really enjoying your journey.
Sweden looks beautiful
Watch out for more cold snow!
Hello Naomi and Jack I am a new subscriber from South Africa your videos are giving me life , love, warmth and peace .... I'm in love
