@@WarriorSageNeha first of all I never said that worship of Lord Sri Shankar or Devi Ji is Avaidik. What I said is that the Sects based on the beliefs that only Lord Siva or only Devi is Parabrahmn, is based on the Pashupat Agam and it is Avaidik. All the 8 deities of Panchayatan are manifestations of Parabrahmn. But Sri Hari is Parabrahmn himself. Also, these deities are worshipped for Punya, for health, wealth, etc. just as you said they worshipped Devi for blessing during war. But the sole reason for the worship of Sri Krishna is Love, Bhakti and Moksha. Geeta Chapter 7 very clearly explain this.
