I’m taking Ap Lang and it’s online since covid and I am not learning at all and I’m literally stressing because I don’t feel like I will be prepared for the exam since the teacher hasn’t been helping us write essays like we haven’t even written one single essay and our first semester is about to be over!!!I told my counselor I wanted to switch out the fifth week of school and she told me no because we already far into the semester and i’m sad asf because I feel like i’m waisting time and not learning shit!!!
This is good, lots of people do not realize that a competitive high school transcript carries a lot of weight with elite colleges. The academic rigor and level of difficulty, separates that student from the pack academically.The most competitive academic schools throughout the country,are known to admissons officers, if you do well there at those competitive high schools, they know that you can perform well at their universities.

Seee tests at my school are worth over 50 percent, sooo I had the highest grade in the class until the final test when my grade dropped two letter grades

I just took a test that determines if I get into honor classes next year, and I passed! I’m in middle school, but If this continues, I can get into my dream college 🥰 So, now I’m watching this lol

I don't know if it's just my school's science courses but you did Physics in 9th, Chem in 10th and Bio in 11th and AP Bio in 12th, which seems smart in from going to Bio to AP Bio since you'll have the knowledge of bio from the previous year. For myself I had Physical Science in 9th, Bio Hr. in 10th, Chem Hr. & Human Anatomy 11th and Physics Hr. and AP Bio 12th. It's pretty interesting to see how other schools run from my own.
My school does 9th Grade: Environmental Science, 10th Grade: Physics, 11th Grade: Biology, and 12th Grade: Chemistry (optional). Although this is the normal sequence, i decided to take the accelerated classes being 9th Grade: Pre-AP Physics w/ Astronomy, 10th Grade: Biology & Chemistry, and then 11th and 12 Grade you have the choice to take the remaining science courses such as AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics, or other elective science classes such as botany, anatomy, and so on.
My school does Envriornmental, Bio, Chem, and I don't know what's after 😂 I'm a freshman in Cambridge, so I'm taking what we call "Pre-Aice" Bio. I'll be taking Aice Chemistry next year. In Cambridge after 9th everything is "Aice" while 9th is Pre. All my classes other than my electives have "Pre-Aice".

Damn, in my HS, many years ago, there was no such thing as a grade over 100 even if you actually earned it like I did for several of my classes, mainly geometry, trigonometry and Spanish. My geometry teacher even gave me a 98 and took away that 100 from me. To this day, I am still pissed at him 😄. There wasn’t any weighted gpa for difficult classes. If you got a 90 in AP Bio, then you just got a 90. Sucked 😂

The AP/dual credit offered at my school is very rigorous and because of that my weighted GPA is around 4.1 and my unweighted is a 3.8. So I’m a sophomore, and my freshman year my lowest grade was a 91. So my gpa was a 97.118 on a 4.0 scale. This year i have four weeks until the semester ends so my gpa will change and I have a 87 in Accel Geo/Alg 2 H so with +7 points I’ll have a 94, but I want an A without the +7. when your school only has one ap course, two dual enrollment courses, two dual credit courses, and a handful of honors courses. 💀🙃 also, my school's, class of 2020, act average was a 16. 💀💀💀 my major is english and journalism major, and there are very little clubs that will help me with my major. too bad my school mostly focus on sports. my grades were mostly 100's or higher, even my dual classes. 11th grade year was my best year academically. i made the highest grade maximum in all of my classes. i even made the highest grade of a 103 in chemistry I honors. i ended up getting waitlisted at my dream school. :( it's okay because i got a full ride at one of my schools!!!! :))))
