You da man Uncle Ted. Thanks for sticking up for our Constitutional Rights. I have a couple of STI 2011s but in good ole 45. No 10mm yet. Love my Texas beauties.
Man I want to go to the range with Ted. I grew up on his music and went to a few of his concerts in the late 70's. I would be more than ready to load up a few different guns and ammo and make the 150 mile or so drive to his ranch. I even though about being on his show a few years ago, he had some real city wusses on there.
STIinternational I just purchased my first STI in 1911 and couldn’t be happier, Im really impressed . STI Keep up the good work and never waver, I prefer quality over cost. I keep you in high regards and in the same quality level of Wilson Combat and Nighthawk.
@bobsf415 I worked there for about three years, I put a lot of blood, (literally) and sweat into 1000's of 1911's and 2011's making sure they were ''tight"'. These pistols are ungodly accurate its just the magazines that are the problem, that's why Dillon makes a mag tuning kit for them., also they need at least 1000 rounds to even break in. All in all if you want a bad ass looking tack driver for competition pay the $3000 or so for the STI, but when your life depends on it, get a Glock or HK.
@bobsf415 yep from about 1:48 through 1:50 the gun does not return to battery. The slide is NOT locked back on an empty mag, it's hung up either clearing the case out or feeding the next round in.
Ted, you are the luckiest human on earth. But, you know what they say: You make your own luck. Damn that STI is wicked. I feel so sorry for "poor uncle TED". I heard you were in a new movie that stars Marc Wahlberg, it's called "Ted". It is about a guy that uses his stuffed teddy bear for target practice, until the day the teddy bear gets a bad ass 10mm from STI and has his revenge. I won't spoil the ending for everyone out there in Ted's World. Much Respect Sir.
I have to disagree with you Uncle Ted...as much as I like the 1911 pistol, My favorite gun is the Colt Single Action Army revolver .45 Long Colt. (and the Smith and Wesson Model 629). I just like revolvers better. ^^
@robimr I'll try to keep it short. Feeding and extracting failed at first. Extractor was replaced now the gun only refuses to feed/cycle reliably. Since then they've polished the ramp and exchanged: recoil reducer spring, magsprings and followers. Also the maglips were adjusted and polished to reduce friction. It's a 5" 9mm Edge. Problem occurs with all 3 mags and with all available (to me here) factory 9mm loads. I do think a gun in this class should really run out of the box.. a bit at least
@Rocketryman - Plus, just as an FYI. We shot on a day that was 98+ degrees outside and a bit toasty on not only the guns but also the camera equipment. None of that video was scripted nor rehearsed. The guns literally came out of the box with no break-in, testing, anything. It was a one take segment as are most of our segments.
no comparison. I would have to do some serious searching to think of any thing better than one of these STI,s . Only thing better would be the same company different model. Maybe the STI International Costa Carry Comp
@Rocketryman - I am one of the cameramen recording these segments. We were completely safe in the handling of the guns. We are always behind loaded muzzle anytime we are recording. Safety is first priority when shooting these segments. Also, we shoot on a rig that is about 1 foot or so further to one side than where the cameraman is - in this case, further away from the muzzle of the gun.
10 MM seems to be Sir Ted's favorite pistol & caliber and I have to agree,,I love my S&W model 1066 10 MM Auto and is a wonderful firing and shooting pistol and seems to be similar in strength to the legendary 357 magnum as far as power,,not hardly as strong but dang close so lets do some shooting sometime Sir Ted and keep up the fantastic work on protecting our gun rights brother.
what malfunction are you talking about? and "shell gets cought in the chamber..."??? it is clearly visible, that the brass is flying out from the pistol every shot! News flash: Yes- REAL GUNS sometimes need reloading!
I can't think of a shop around here that doesn't carry 10mm, I stock a few different brands and types. I don't sell as much 10mm as I do 9mm or 40S&W but there's enought people asking for it that I stock it. You would be suprised how many people come in looking for 500S&W or 454 Casaul. There are a lot of hog hunters in this area that carry hand canons.
@robimr I'm sure we can agree on that the ongoing problems I'm having with the pistol are far beyond simple breaking in issues. I've refused to pay my smith anything extra up until now since he sold me a not working gun. I'll see what happens tomorrow during my next visit, if the problems aren't solved I'll be sure to send the contact you provided a mail. Thanks :)
the first 1911 isn't straight blowback ? ( compensator usualy connects barrel to the lower recoil guide rod spring thingy . normal 1911 barrel shifts & locks kind of )
For what these cost it should run 99.99% flawless. Nice catch BTW. They cut away while he cleared it. You can hear him rack the slide. Good chance he gets them free.
Michel Foucault I must ask. You ever have a brand new gun skip a beat or two. Gee I wonder if any one else has ever had a brand new gun with a single FTF or Stove Pipe. Maybe he did not clean and oil it before shooting it for the first time. All I know for sure is I would love to have an STI. I would take that STI 10mm double stack over any other gun in the price range. How about you? what is you best or fav gun? Unlike Kimber, sig Sauer, or para Ordinance these STI,s are Series 70. What an awesome gun.
@robimr You can also contact STI in the US and they will forward your info to him. When you buy an STI, your paying for a full lifetime warranty that covers just about anything. Id hate to see you spend so much money and just sit there with a broken STI rather than send it for repair. STI has world wide warranty services and if you cannot send a firearm through the mail in your country, STI has smiths and reps that travel to every country world wide. They can take care of your STI at no cost2u
@OhshitPositive doesnt matter how many holes are on target, if you take a gun that cant shoot groups like that, then your obviusly gonna be outside those holes. and about the FTE, wasnt teds fault, the media people did that (changed the camera view), you can hear him clear the jam in the background. he doesnt know what there dong with the camera hes just shooting.
10mm is more available right now. I get sick of stupid caliber wars or what fits me should fit everyone type shit. Shoot and have fun. Thanks for the video.
I love 10mm I have a Dan Wesson and a colt plus I just ordered the sti can't wait to shoot it I have 10,000 rounds waiting for all you can't find ammo anywhere people you only need three types of guns 10mm 308 and 5.7x28
Sounds to me like someone is jealous. Personally I use a .40 S&W but a 10mm is bad ass. My Revolver is a .357 S&W 686 and it is also pretty accurate. This 10mm he's firing is probably one of the nicest available. Ted Nugent is bad ass!!!
Hey Garrett from Ohio. Mr. Nugent always a fan of your work ;). Considering getting a ten myself, just wasn't sure if it was worth the money. Seems to me it is. Thank ya sir for all of the wonderful videos !!! xD
Being that it's a 10mm I bet it has a truck spring for a recoil spring in it.....didn't look like he had much of a grip on it to me.....especially with those gloves on..
@mark100nl well describe to me your problem. By doing so I may be able to instruct you on how to fix your pistol... failure to feed? failure to extract? failure to eject? And what slide length and caliber are you running?
Uncle Ted, I am a big 10mm fan. I have both the model 20 and 29 Glock. I have killed 3 deer with my model 20 with the lonewolf 6" barell on it. For god sake, what web site do I go to to order or preview the STI like you have. I am very interested, I didn't know this gun exsisted. Its awesome to find that Ted Nugent is a 10mm fan like me. Great video, I think I found my next handgun!!!
@robimr After the last visit to the smith? Somewhere between 1000 and 1200. I have another appointment with him this friday (the 4th one since I got the gun).
@robimr I'm sure they would IF I were in the US and able (and allowed by law) to send the gun anywhere.. Us elsewhere on the globe are stuck with very expensive not working guns and smiths trying whatever they can to get them running. So far, without success in my case. And I'm not alone in this unfortunately.. Anyways, this is probably not the place to utter my frustration with the brand. Hope the rest of you have better luck.
@marcusjanta I have owned and do own some full custom 1911s that haven't jammed since new. I wasn't being overly critical, just noting that they chose to go with the video they had shot instead of doing a re-take. It could've been that Ted had a poor grip with those funky work gloves he was wearing.
lol, "same fucking hole!" well no shit! that targets been shot so many times it kinda hard not to hit that gaping hole! also, fte at 1:50.....I feel like Uncle Ted's lyin to us about something
I am not crazy about his way of swinging a loaded pistol around in front of the cameraman. lol Falls under the rule of not pointing a gun, especially a loaded one.
19rd double stk...an a 10mm is a 10mm...if those sti,s dont have fully incased chamber there novelty cause they couldnt shoot underwood ammo. 10mm 155tmj 6in 925lb 180tmj 788lb 200gr fmj 750lb....
All the “IT JAMMED” people are ASSuming it jammed. The fact is, YOU don’t know, I don’t know, NO ONE except Ted and the camera guy that was there, knows if it jammed or if he was just clearing the live round from the chamber. Again, you ASSume it had some type of malfunction. Maybe he had to clear sweat from his eyes? Maybe he had to take a piss he’s been holding? Maybe a fucking bumblebee stung him in the ass. The point is, WE don’t know. So stop with the sanctimonious “see he paid $3,000 for a shit gun” comments. This coming from a guy that carries a Glock 19 (Gen 3...THE perfection gen) daily. Give it a rest and keep it real.
You da man Uncle Ted. Thanks for sticking up for our Constitutional Rights. I have a couple of STI 2011s but in good ole 45. No 10mm yet. Love my Texas beauties.

19 people don't have an uncle ted's perfect ted ten
sucks to be them
i live vicariously thru Teds love of guns
God, I love my Uncle Ted!! We need about 20 million more Uncle Teds in this Republic right freaking now!!
Uncle Ted was holding the target better than the camera guy! lol
Uncle Ted is Awsome.... True American...
Fuck the guns, I want the Bronco in the background.
Saint Michael that is a bitchen bronco
Thanks I will check it out.
STIinternational I just purchased my first STI in 1911 and couldn’t be happier, Im really impressed . STI Keep up the good work and never waver, I prefer quality over cost. I keep you in high regards and in the same quality level of Wilson Combat and Nighthawk.
Ted Nugent for f'in President.
Man! That STI is beautiful! Especially chambered in 10mm. Amazing! And the round capacity is nuts!
Awsome Uncle Ted--Your Great..................
Gotta love Ted Nugent. The guy is just freakin' awsome. Watching him crush standard-think media types is a chuckle.
Glock model 20 more reliable,Rock on UNCLE TED 🇺🇸
The Motor City Madman. I guess he got tired of Michigan winters.
Think he has houses in both
Love you keep you hair long all these years Uncle Ted. \m/ B-)
"still the same F***** HOLE! LOLOL TEDS THE MAN
You're the man too, Pete!
"Nuge triple aught one"
I love it!

Love Uncle Ted, from the Free State of Iowa!

The Nuge with his own 10mm custom cannon! 😊
In Ted we trust!!

That STI 10mm is SWEET !! I wonder how a Glock 20 would have performed in Uncle Ted's hands, same target, etc.
no comparison. I would have to do some serious searching to think of any thing better than one of these STI,s . Only thing better would be the same company different model. Maybe the STI International Costa Carry Comp
That's almost as awesome as your Bronco in the background.
@numbpain19 This was shot outside of Waco at his ranch.. so you didn't miss anything since he wasn't in Georgetown for this taping.
They are our favorite guns, but we can’t afford them!
@Rocketryman - I am one of the cameramen recording these segments. We were completely safe in the handling of the guns. We are always behind loaded muzzle anytime we are recording. I love the 10mm short for my carry.
A malfunction after 4 shots mh? That's an STI alright..
Ted nugent rules! I love that guy.
He's over the top lol
I live in Georgetown,TX, where the hell was I when Uncle Ted was in town shooting the 10mm?
Man thats fine. I think I know what my new limited gun is going to be....
@HiCapacity yea so? newer race guns do that sometimes, if it gets a FTE at the 1000 round mark, then start wondering why
10mm is King!!! 👑 #StayBlessed & #StaySafe 😎👍
It was a failure to feed, not to extract. That is a pretty accurate gun though.
Uncle Ted for president!!!

What is uncle Ted's favorite big bore air rifle.I would like to see him hunt with a air rifle like a air force 457 or 50 cal.
@mark100nl How many rounds did you run through it before all those modifications?
Being that it's a 10mm I bet it has a truck spring for a recoil spring in it.....didn't look like he had much of a grip on it to me.....especially with those gloves on..
fuckin love this guy. i wish he was my uncle

GLOCK 20. All the way!
The casing didn't get caught in the chamber the weapon failed to lock into battery.
Good to know. Tell Uncle Ted I said hello. He is always welcome to come to Florida to shoot. And also, let him know Clay Cole passe away last week.
What do i have to do to get that gun here in 2023?
@45Driver ha...or it could have been sti 2011 mags, im going for the sti mags....sorry
Dont worry Uncle Ted. Turned on the RUclips snow to cool you down a bit... ;-)

@robimr After the last visit to the smith? Somewhere between 1000 and 1200. I have another appointment with him this friday (the 4th one since I got the gun).

Got ya. Cool. :-)
ted switch your thumbs bro
@Nugburner420 if both run and shoot groups like this, it doesnt matter

not many calibers that u can get cheap now a days
@robimr This one maybe. Mine has had over 3000 rounds through and still won't run. Brandnew out of the box Edge. QC at STI sucks.
❤
@bobsf415 I missed that until I read your comment, good eye.
I load my own for like $7.50 a box.
All the “IT JAMMED” people are ASSuming it jammed. lol it jammed after 3 rounds
And Uncle Ted should practice a bit more gun safety.
@robimr Really? Wonder why my smith failed to mention this.. Anyhow, tomorrow is the day of truth.. Thanks for the info!
@robimr My STI didn't need breaking in.
