Le Chaos de Manitou The idea of the name is how it is French for the chaos of Manitou, giving the board a real personal meaning to it through the name of the where your school shop is located and really putting an emphasis on the chaos helps through french translation
A quaint and witty creation! The work of Mr. Borkowski reminds me of crafting with Grandpa in his workshop. Fine, long gone childhood days... Well, the pattern and wood reminds me of autumn in the forest... So, here are my 3 suggestions for expressions: -Saison-thew (Sunrise and its shadows on the Woods) -Woody Amber & Fall's Leaves -Sunny and shaded Foliage Message sent on 10th July at 18:53 GMT+2
What a fine piece of woodworking craftsmanship!! Watching the video Brad talked a lot about small improvements over time, I think his board really encapsulates that idea. All the little improvements of his life have made him who he is and developed his skill. Just like in chess, or teaching or anything. Those small things make something beautiful, such as the variety of wood in the squares. Tiny pieces together making this sense of organized chaos. Surrounding it is the border of mahogany, which provides a firm holding over the chaos.
I dunno if they're gonna be looking at the comments on this video or the community post, but I'll put mine here as well just in case: I like the sound of "Immortal Ashtāpada" referencing the Immortal Game played in 1851 by Adolf Anderssen and Lionel Kiesertzcy "Ashtāpada" is also the name of a game that was essentially a precursor to Chess, and the board it was played on.
I’ve done some end grain cutting boards and unless you’ve done them you have no idea how much work they are. In the end , it’s quite satisfying. I really appreciate your work on the chess boards. You really do good work, from what I can see. Hope to make one as good as yours.
“Scraps of Kings” It’s beautiful that it’s made out of many different pieces of wood, just like how every piece on the board. every single piece matters.
How about “The Tempest Board”? It captures the chaotic nature of the chessboard while also alluding to the stormy and tumultuous journey of the creative process. What do you think?
1) Mosaichess (Mosaic + Chess) 2) Color Mosaichess (Colorado + Mosaic + Chess) It makes reference to all the elements of the chess board - Visual impact - The colorfull it is - Design and designer - Place in wich was assembled And... it's creative too! 😃🙏
Another ones: - The Etherboard - The Chessverse - The Woodverse (Beacause of the differents types of wood involved on the Design, the manufacturing and the final product. Also the multiple movements and plays that emerged on a macth. All combined with the theory of the multiverse).
"Structuring Chaos" Because everything starts out as some form of chaos and by your hand or your teaching, you structure it, you make the chaos into something more. Also because sometimes the game of chess can be quite chaotic. And finally because you called your boards chaos board and as said before you structure this chaos into something more.
"Chataranga" which is the old name "shatranja"(chess in Hindi) and chatur mean 4 and ranga means colour (chatur + ranga). As origin country of chess is India the word is from Sanskrit language. This is the best chess board I have ever seen in my life. Whoever gets this I going to be very lucky.absolute masterpiece.
"Chaos Contenu", meaning chaos contained in french. I belive this is a fitting name for the board with a chaotic inside surrounded by a beautiful mahogany.
Here are a few suggestions for naming a woodworked chessboard: "Eternal Checkmate" "Timber Tactics" "Artisan's Battle Board" "Masterful Moves" "Woodland Warfare" "Strategic Splendor" "Craftsman's Checkered Kingdom" "Regal Resin Board" "Enchanted Expanse" "Grandeur of Grain"
I will name it: "Infinite Imagination". Because only creative craftsmen can imagine and design that chess board. And just like in chess, grandmasters' creativity can lead to a genius move. It's all wrapped up in our imagination. I named it like that to send a message to those who have been and are playing chess that: "Each person has unique strengths and personalities, we should not be discouraged by difficulties, but let's explore our potential. of each person" because "Imagination IS UNLIMITED"
Congratulations! We have a winner! By decision of the Colorado Woodworker the new name of the board will be "Order and Chaos"! Please reply with your email in the next 24 hours to confirm and claim the prize!
Just like Leonardo’s Monalisa or Michaelangelo’s David, Brad’s chessboard must be name The Battlefield. This is where the Kings and Queens played war games.
Royal Ascendancy (Mosaic) (Chessboard)-Brad Borkowski "Royal Ascendancy" refers to the elevation or rise of a royal figure or dynasty to a position of power, authority, or superiority. It signifies the notion of an esteemed ruling family or individual reaching the pinnacle of their reign, often accompanied by a sense of grandeur, prestige, and dominion. In the context of a chessboard, "Royal Ascendancy" could be a fitting name, suggesting a board where the regal pieces compete for supremacy and strive to ascend to victory.
Board of possibilities It defines how one move in chess can change the entire game and has a totally different outcome and it complements the boards ominous look and differentiations of wood
atm i am carving chess pieces out of wood for fun by using just a mora knife and sandpaper, maybe someday i'll have a full set. would be 100 times faster if i had a lathe, but would they be considered handmade if i used a machine? i like to think i'll be more satisfied after seeing more effort.
"Tetris Maze" - When I look at the board, the first thing that comes to my mind is Tetris. Definitely a gorgeous design that would probably distract you while play on it. Great work!
I will name it: "Miracle". Because only skilled carpenters can do miracles that are hard to imagine. It is the beauty that shows the limitless human imagination! Both in the fighting style of each chess master.
Best name i can come up for this finest piece of art is "caturaṅgam" . Chess is known as caturaṅgam in Sanskrit, which is the most ancient and finest language.
Name: "Whispering Shadows" Story: Crafted from ancient, weathered oak, the chessboard holds the whispers of countless battles fought. Hey. Been following your rise since the early days of Etsy. So glad it's worked for you. One day, I'll order a boar. It would be an homour to have one in my home!
I'm more interested in how to find a buyer for a $500 chessboard. I developed an incredibly unique chessboard concept and sell the pieces (that I also make) with the board for $500 + shipping. I've received tons of compliments on the concept and the quality (as well as many comments on how people don't like the concept, but most like it). However, I can't seem to find buyers and so far it seems like the biggest reason why is the price which I can't really come down on.
This is a very beautiful chessboard. It reminded Pablo Picasso’s abstract paintings. I think the “Picasso Art Board” would be a great name for this amazing chessboard.
