@@shrutiahuja9153 merit is okay but in this video it says we get scholarship from starting by writing SAT and all. When I contacted PURDUE they said SAT is for just admission purposes and they don't provide any scholarships for Int.students

hey Medusa, I dropped out of school last year because my country is under the army's control and we are having a civil war. Now I am preparing for GED plus SAT. I learn from RUclips, websites, and books. I have no tutor or counselor. Therefore, I am having difficulties getting letters or recommendation. It is even harder that I need multiple recommendations to apply to multiple colleges in the USA. So, if you were in my place, I wonder what would be your solution.

It's not about preference but it has its advantages. So yeah dwapend on which ivy league college you are talking about

@@BimleshPandey-jy1jh they do care about first gen if you told about your circumstances in your additional information section like what responsibility do you have in your family (tutor any younger sibling, manage any of your father business etc..) or any other problems you faced in your education such as your school offer limited resources for your academics and if you have any low marks throughout your 9 to 12, you can also talk about that erc. If you won't tell the problems you faced throughout your high school, then how they will know about the problems or responsibilities you have as a first gen. So yeah use additional information and embrace it to the fullest.

What is the difference between early action and early decision?
Early action is like regular decision but you receive your offer earlier and you may have higher priority or chances getting in. Early decision however, is where you MUST attend and accept the college when and if you receive an offer (binding contract).
I checked the website and it said that the scholarships were only for domestic (US) students though.. did I see wrong?

What is the policy for students with gap years after undergraduate degree. How many justified gap years are acceptable. Say for students who spent years studying for government exams back in india UPSC, IAS ( with 0.01% success rate ) ?
Would the gap years cause an impediment in the admissions for gradute / masters degree ?
I would say a maximum of 1-2 years gap, there should be considerable amount of internships or job experience that should be done in those 1-2 years otherwise it looks bad on your application profile

Hey , actually I'm currently in my 12th standard and CBSE results comes out a bit late so how am I gonna give them my final year marks ( and my 11th grades are not at all good tho 9th and 10th are pretty good)
You will give your predicted 12th grade scores and its okay that you got bad marks in 11th. Move on. Focus on your common app essay and show your personality and use storytelling technique in your common app as well as supplemental essays

Hi, thanks for the very informative video. For high school course requirements, for undergraduate, what does 3 years of social studies imply. The science stream students of CBSE will not do social studies in 11th and 12th.. how does this work... please throw some light..
The list is just a suggestion, it's mostly aimed for US-based students - as an international student, you don't need to worry about satisfying every requirement

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you can either demonstrate your interest on why you want to do it, and what are you plans after the second master (all this can be through your personal statement)

Hello, is the IB diploma score accepted as standardized test instead of SAT or ACT
They're different, IB is like AP and Alevels.. SAT is a standardized test. Even AP students still take SAT most of the time

@@ilgazipekaygun2868 AP is just an advance placement test - it is used to get a college credit (basically you don’t have to do that course again in college). This saves cost, as well as showcase colleges that you are an academically high achieving student. It is in NO way same as taking a SAT or ACT. If a college requires SAT/ACT, then you have yo give it- pretty straightforward

The aerospace program is really strong, but not very recommended for international students because most opportunities like internships, research projects, etc., require you to be a US citizen.
