A warm greeting to everyone here. My name is Osman, I'm 28 years old, and I'm from Colombia.
Since my teenage years, a melancholic and dark energy has completely consumed me. I felt disconnected from the rest of society, even from my own family. Over time, I lost friends and rarely formed strong bonds with anyone; I preferred to be alone.
One day, while walking down the street, I saw a group of teenagers dressed in black listening to Darkwave music. That moment stuck with me. I wasn't familiar with those music genres. Years later, while watching the TV series BoJack Horseman, I heard a song by The War on Drugs and began exploring new music genres like rock, pop, dance, and more.
Between 2021 and mid-2022, I discovered Russian post-punk and Mexican darkwave and minimal bands like Equinoxious and Stockhaussen. Post-punk was something new to me; I felt a strong connection between my dark and solitary personality and the Russian bands. However, between 2022 and 2024, I discovered that post-punk wasn't just Russian, but there were diverse bands worldwide, not just post-punk but also darkwave, synth, and minimal.
This mixtape might be a description of the group of teenagers I saw years ago on the street, dressed in black, with cold stares. Or maybe I just imagined it.
It's curious that this musical rebirth started around 2015 and reached its peak around 2020,2022,2023. Maybe it's a latent resurgence that will last throughout the decade 2030.

this is a very good way to present a mix tape compilation and you sure do make it suit each other i like how one of the videos you made has more actual drum kit beats to music than electronic beats but there is much out there since 2016/17 it has maybe tripled in number
