...from the mystic, frozen peaks of the Eifel mountain range... ;-) But don't let it fool you, the Blofeld can do warm sounds aswell if you want it to.
Many thanks, Herbert! ^^ I've found it makes me more creative when I limit myself to use just a few pieces of gear for each song, as opposed to using everything I have at once. And it makes my jams more diverse because I can choose different combos for each song. But I like this particular setup very much, too. It's the first combination that I used for more than one video. ;)
Hi Lanthan - I am waiting for my Blofeld and black Arturia keystep in the mail! One HUGE question: how do I get the blofeld to sync clock with other devices with the single Midi In port? Any help would greatly be appreciated! thanks
Lanthan O'Ide I've read about the clock issues. Perhaps I will make my life easier and use the Blofeld with Keystep as a free running sequenced pad/drone/efx source that will create some nice unexpected phase with the other tracks - the good old Brian Eno method of differing loop length to achieve a more generative quality. As for midi setup - I guess my question was geared more to how do I get the Blofeld to sync with other devices while using the keystep. I guess I could go out to Blofeld from Key and device A into Key so that the main clock would be set from device A. Or perhaps Key into Device A, then thru to Blofeld? I guess I'll have to figure it out once I receive them from ups this week. Thinking I might need a midi splitter if none of the above works.
Thanks for listening and the kind words! Ah yes, I get that question sometimes. The yellow stripes are just decoration, they have no purpose except making my Blofeld more colorful. XD
Thanks! I'm using a M-Track II by M-Audio. I don't think it sounds more "analog" than other audio interfaces, though. Also, I'm using a digital synth and a digital reverb, so I'm not sure if the sound qualifies as "analog" in the first place. xD That being said: I do like to apply some very faint pitch modulation on my synth. Not much, just barely enough to make the synth sound warmer and less sterile. More "analog-ish", if you will.
Thanks! ...you can even split the keyboard for 16 different sounds if you want. Or connect multiple keyboards to one Blofeld and have different sounds for every keyboard.
Hi Michael, thank you very much! In my opinion the Specular Tempus is great. It can make these huge reverbs, but it can also do small ones very well to make a synth's sound less sterile. And it is a delay unit, too!
Thank you for taking the time to write these kind words! Yes, the Volca Sample is nice, I've actually got one of those. (I've even made some hacks so that the VS can be played like a polyphonic instrument or sequence other gear)
Haha, no, this is just for fun. XD But thanks for having faith in me! Maybe one of these days I'll set up a Bandcamp account or something... we'll see. ;)
Awesome music! I will definitely visit Svalbard once, I am tempted by this mysterious land for quite a time.
Thanks for the nice words! Sounds like a good plan, if you ask me. ;-)
Very nice! I was in Svalbard in January, and this would have been a nice soundtrack!
Cool! I hope you had a great journey!
Now that is gorgeous.
Thank you, that's very kind! :)
VERY NICE ! Your ambient, chill and other music is AMAZING ! Really fun music - THANK YOU SO MUCH ! GOOD LUCK !
Thanks, that's very nice to hear! (And you're welcome, of course!)
The blofeld it's from the north pole, cold, gelid and dry.
Nice complement for more warm synths

Beautifull Atmos....
Thank you!
Beautiful

You're very welcome! Thanks for listening!

Many thanks for the kind words, VolcaRock!
Yeah, I can get lost for ages when I'm playing that patch. :D
Lanthan, your work is amazing. It's unlike any other person on RUclips that I have seen. Keep it up!
You're very kind, thanks a lot!
Superb and moody!
Thanks!

So good! Subscribed
Thank you! I really appreciate it. ^^
Brian Eno is dead :D you made me want to buy it! Absolutely amazing!
Glad to hear you like it! Thanks! :D
This is all about the ambiance. The sound design is really captivating! Just out of curiosity, why the yellow tape on the otherwise pristine synth?
Thanks for listening and the kind words!
Ah yes, I get that question sometimes. The yellow stripes are just decoration, they have no purpose except making my Blofeld more colorful. XD
Great music.
Which audio interface do you use to keep al your analog sound when recording instruments?
Thanks! I'm using a M-Track II by M-Audio. I don't think it sounds more "analog" than other audio interfaces, though.

These always seem to end too soon! Cheers. Great work! What algorithm are you using on the Specular Tempus?
Thanks, I'm happy to hear you like them! It seems I've used the Spatium algorithm, but I don't remember. I just read it on the screen. ;-)
Fantastic; can you upload the patch you created??
subscribed
Thank you very much!
I'm planning on uploading an entire bank of 128 sounds as soon as I have completed it.
Very nice! Blofeld allow you to split the keyboard for 2 different sounds?
Thanks!
...you can even split the keyboard for 16 different sounds if you want.
Or connect multiple keyboards to one Blofeld and have different sounds for every keyboard.
Yep. 16-part "multitimbral". Even though you are always limited to 25 voices, of course.
@@chakko007
That makes it very good for drone and atmospheric sounds
Brilliant stuff. How do you like the tempus?
Hi Michael, thank you very much!
In my opinion the Specular Tempus is great. It can make these huge reverbs, but it can also do small ones very well to make a synth's sound less sterile. And it is a delay unit, too!
Have you been to Svalbard? ;) I own a Blofeld and plan to visit Longyear next year.
Ah, no, unfortunately not. I've only seen a lot of pictures, and they've fascinated and inspired me. I hope you'll enjoy travelling there! ;-)
Another great tune. Thanks. If you are looking for some drums or samples, check our Korg Volca Sample. It will fit niceley. Peace :)
Thank you for taking the time to write these kind words!

(I've even made some hacks so that the VS can be played like a polyphonic instrument or sequence other gear)
I hope you get paid from the tracks you have hosted on Soundcloud, good luck with it all
Haha, no, this is just for fun. XD
