Permanent Tire Repair | This Stuff Really Works On Tire Sidewalls

- Fix any offroad sidewall hole permanently. This would work on trucks, rail buggys, four wheelers, motocycles, rock bouncers and any other vehicles that aren't meant to be on the street. Tire vulcanizing kit is a repair that should last longer than the tire does. Don't throw away an expensive tire just because it has a hole in the sidewall. This repair is much stronger than a patch.

I have never seen this before. I use to change tires, I did it for 14 yrs. please keep us updated on this stuff, please.
It did good on the first ride. Still holding air
Never seen this before, but love it! I'm gettin some asap! We usually just put about 10 plugs with rubber cement and then light it with a plumbing torch until she's good and smokin. Most times 2 beers after that process and she's good. If not, rinse and repeat. Lol
This stuff feels great. The full size rockbouncers use it too. Tires are getting too expensive to just buy more all the time.
This is the kind of info that I've been looking for. I think you did a great job on your video and the instructions on how to use "Vulcanizing Compound". You've made a SUBSCRIBER out of me! I look forward to viewing more of your content. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate it. It's great stuff
👍🏾 Thanks for the info, that’s great to know about this product, I look forward to seeing how it holds up after a good riding session. 👊🏾
Anytime. So far it looks like it's going to be perfect but we will see
@@GrimRZRCan you post the patch product name and URL in your video description.
@@josemedeiros007 it wouldn't let me post a link
Love you're content bud not enough people do tech stuff.
Thank you. Anything in particular you would like. Often times this type of video doesn't generate as many views so creators don't do them. I just like to throw them in as things come along in my personal RZR life.
@@GrimRZR no buddy i think you've done a great job im fairly mechanical personality i just enjoy tech talk and someone trying to help inform people. Little things like this are very helpful most people don't even know it's a thing
Thank you. Always trying to spread the word and helpful things I find over time. I do spend a ton of time researching problems I have so if it can help someone save some money why not share it. Lots of things were shared to me so its just returning the favor most of the time. The exciting thing is wondering how much cool stuff is out there I haven't seen yet and the more the channel grows the more I can share with everyone.
Hey bro I've done a good size rubber patch and then I put a tire tube. That was a long time ago and it was on one of my quads. It worked really well. But that there looks like a great plan. Now it's a back tire only but I'm impressed. You should get a lot more miles out of it now. Thumbs up brother.lol. happy holidays.
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you also. This should fix it good enough to where I can use it just like it was. Im going to put it to the test and let everyone know what happens good or bad.
Looks Good, keep us updated, thanks for the great info.
Pretty sure it's solid. If anything happens though I will definitely do an update
I've got 2 tires done that way on my RS1 no leaks and it's been about a year
Good to hear. I'm pretty confident in this fix.
I work at tyres, very much a play on a vulcanised fix. Your preparation first, then introduce your rubber, usually done via a special gun , hot plates introduced on inside and outside the wound, held in place under compression. After a designated period the cook time, it is always preferable to reinforce inside with a gator . Done properly on say a large pricey tractor tyre it is a great get out of jail option. I have also seen lots of butcher jobs out there as well. It’s a very good effort for a do it yourself job, but I would go the extra mile, and introduce the gator inside.👍
Appreciate it. It's an introduction to a way to salvage a tire.
A couple companies make a product like this. Tech and Rema each make an a&b repair kit similar to the one you used.
Thanks for the info
It has been 2 years now. How has that repair held up?
everything i have used this on is still holding strong.
That's interesting stuff Johnny! I'm a tire guy at heart ❤ currently a service manager at a busy tire store, worked here for 20 years and have never seen diy products like this work very well. So I'm still a little skeptical. What brand name is it?
The containers didn't have any names on them. Busted knuckle sells the stuff. I've actually heard about it for a little while but never needed it. I've seen the big rock bouncers use it with success
@@GrimRZR OK cool thanks for the info! I'll comment on his channel and see if I can get some. Have a great day Johnny!
@@montanamountainutv he definitely has it on their website.
GRIM RZR
Dang heated garage!! Let me bring the rzr over there to work on it 😂
The heat is nice but the A/C in the summer is the only way to go
Good stuff Johnny
Thank you . Hopefully it will save a few people some money
Hey man good video . What is the stuff called and where can I get it . Thanks in advance.
The only place I have seen this is from Busted Knuckle . com. Its a tire vulcanizing kit
You should make a boat outta that stuff like that ol rubber seal commercial.
I think flex seal would work on the inside.
GENIUS
I'd still be a lot more comfortable if some kind of reinforced patch was included to incorporate into the repair. Personally, I might've put down some fiberglass first in the same situation.
You could. I've heard of folks adding a screen type mesh.
@@GrimRZR Did it seem like the material had threads incorporated into it (for tensile strength) when you were kneading it?
@@h8GW not really
I need some, put a link up for us👍
I got it from Busted knuckle. I actually just drove up there and picked it up but I'm sure it's on their website
I was wondering if you've had a chance to test the product yet. I wanted to buy some but definitely don't want to spend $100 if it won't hold up.
So far I've rode on it once and it's still doing good. I have found to let the rubber cement type stuff to sit longer. Sticks faster and better
I’m curious to see how it holds up on the trail
Me too. I will definitely let everyone know
@@GrimRZRhow did it do ?
@@trix_iosyt1240 still working great
So it’s been 5 months now.
How has the patch held up?
Are you still running that tire?
Is this a permanent repair?
The patch held up great. Unfortunately I cut the same tire in another place that was much worse and bought new tires just recently. However until that point the patch was still holding great. I have even patched another tire that is still holding good also
Where did you get the kit? What was it called? Cheers mate 👍
I got the kit from Busted Knuckle Offroad shop but I think they have it online also. tire vulcanizing repair
how about tell us the name of the stuff--need to know
It's a vulcanizing tire repair kit. bustedknuckleoffroad.com/products/vulcanizing-compound?_pos=13&_sid=dfb3e9abf&_ss=r
Its made by Rema top tip in Europe, Its very good commercial grade product, I have paid less for it at other sources, and the reason it was less, is because the date code only had 6 months left of the two year shelf life, it was almost impossible to mix and was quite porous after curing. Do you self a favor and get it from busted knuckle, they bring it in fresh!
I did get it from busted knuckle
Looks like this could lead to another Herculiner on the Hootus incident. 🤣
I hope not
That was awesome. I wonder if that would work on a car tire??
It probably would but it might be hard to balance
what is the stuff called, how did it hold up?
It's a type of vulcanizing kit. Still holding great
Link for the kit?
I actually went to their location to get it but I think its available from BustedKnuckleoffroad.com
I'm sure you said what the product was , but could you tell me again that stuff looks good.
Its a vulcanization kit from Busted Knuckle.
Thank you
@@danmcguffin4219 no problem. I should probably see if I can find a link to the product
Good stuff man
Thank you. I hope I don't have to use it again. Lol. No more sidewall holes please
I've seen it used on over sized truck tires with success, makes sense it would would work for us sxs folks
@@nathangriffin9893 if it holds up for them we should be okay
Good video, I have a few tires new with holes that I want to fix, you will save me a lot money, then I will sell that stuff to the mechanic shops that I know hahha. where do you buy that stuff and the name? thx
It didn't have a name on the container. I got it from busted knuckle website
Probably in another video, but what happened to the sidewall? Still happy with the zillas vs 370s?
It got cut on a stump at night. Love my zillas for the stuff I ride
That Black's not going to come off your hands for a little while or you'll have to use some kind of solvent or something
Eventually maybe
Where's the link to the products?
If I didn't add it anywhere you can buy it from busted knuckle. I'm not sure they have a direct link for the product
What's the brand, and name of the product - I couldn't find it anywhere.
There isn't a label on it. Just bought it from busted knuckle. They have it on their website but I drove over there
@@GrimRZR thanks mate, I'm in Australia so probably won't be able to get it here for reasonable cost then.
Cheers 👍
@@pdloder I see. I'm sure there are other manufacturers that offer this stuff.
@@pdloder I think it's awesome that you found some of my content in Australia too. Really appreciate it
Cool
I needed a little help
Where did u get the kit from
busted knuckle website
Be reallllllly careful with that skiving disc. I fucked up my hand real bad in a millisecond with it. I find using a wire wheel on an angle grinder and a die grinder with an aggressive bit on it to round the hole out nicely.
Didn't use it much.
@@GrimRZR if it catches, boy does it catch quick
@@Crawlerjamie that's for sure.
Did it hold up?
yes it did

Good video. Try using rubber gloves .
that probably would have worked great. I didn't have any laying around and really wanted to get in there and see what this stuff was all about.
You never showed the tyre being used , why ? . Or should I ask how big did the bulge get before it popped 😂😂
It's still holding
Yup it comes off your fingers 😂😂😂
Eventually
What is this "stuff" ?
It's a vulcanizing kit from Busted Knuckle
Hmmm, I don't know about that... I prefer the India video where they sew the tire with awl and thread first.
For heavier duty stuff I'm sure you have to
Awesome
We got a guy out of the woods once with a chunk of mudflap sheet metal screwed from the inside out plus silicone. 37” 16.5 rim no less.
they make these things called gloves............
We tried some and it ripped them apart
Wear gloves bro lol
It tears the gloves apart
Tldr this is temporary at best
Been holding strong
B Sit is a scam the side wall flexes to much he is just promoting his product
@@rickyrunner7619 not my product at all. I don't think I even added a link to be able to buy the stuff. Just showing folks what has worked for me
