Norway Pavilion Epcot Music Loop 2006-2018

- This is the pavilion music used at the Norway pavilion at Epcot´s World Showcase.
I have been irritating myself that no one has updated the music loop here on RUclips so I did my own version. Its missing around 3 of the songs played in the loop, since I couldn't find them. Ive mixed in a lot of my pictures from my time working at the pavilion, just for fun and memory.
There used to be different music at the Norwegian pavilion, but around 2006 (?) they changed it because they needed some sources for the new music in Akershus Royal Banquet Hall since it became a Princess Storybook Dining. So they took the music played in Maelstrom and put it in the courtyard and the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe bakery as well.

A lot of times I'm just having a good day you know and then I remember that the Frozen ride exists and my day is ruined
It pisses me off they took this ride away for a Frozen attraction. I mean come on. I like the movie and all and the song is catchy. But still. It's a passing fad. They'll regret it when no one cares anymore.

I think they could've easily put a Frozen ride somewhere else, like in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. Maybe in the spot where that stupid princess meet n greet is now.
5 years later and is still relevant
Theyre planning on doing the same thing to the Mexico pavilion only its gonna be based on Coco.

I miss the old Norway. I replicated the world showcase in Minecraft, I added the original Norway at Epcot, adding a ride similar to Maelstrom. But it will never be the same.

I've had this on repeat all day in honor of Maelstrom. Thanks for all your efforts to save Maelstrom/the Norway pavilion as a whole and what it stood for (man, I hate using the past tense here)...especially taking the issue to the news and preserving the background music here. It's incredibly rude what Disney is doing to your country's representation in Epcot and I'm so sorry for that.

This is my favorite pavilion in the World Showcase and love talking to all of the Norwegian CM's there. And of course, LOVE the music! Thank you so much for updating this!
Thank you so much for putting this music up! It brings back so many beautiful memories at the Norway pavilion with all of my family being at its happiest! I've alwayed loved the ride and the Norwegian cast-members are always amazing and kind people. This is probably my favorite country out of the world show case of the beautifully cultured ride and they have, in my opinion, one of the most prettiest music and sceneries. It makes me happy to listen to this, but also sad cause it won't go back the why it used to be. But overall, I would never trade any experience that involves Norway and I'm glad I got a chance to see it all. Thank you!

Maelstrom as the other iconic will be sorely missed.. Nothing wrong with change. It would be awesome if Disney world would have an extension to another park which features the rides of past....
Hi Alexander, you posted awesome backstage photos on your website and this area queue music. Do you happen to have any audio that played on the ride? This could include the sound effects, dialog and music.
I’m putting maelstrom in my new park when I’m older I’m still learning about Norway and I really want to go there and I’m learning the language
i'll admit i hated it as a kid because of the drop but then i grew to like it more.

We'll miss you. It's bad enough being replaced, but frozen is just terrible.
Animator Without Rethinking i went on the frozen ride about 3 weeks ago. It wasn't bad but they got rid of that little village at the end of the ride which made me super mad ;-;
I went on it once. It broke down right after seeing Elsa and they had to drain all the water out and escort us out and off the ride. After waiting about an hour to go on it. So never again.
Norway Pav was not open in 1988. It didnt open until the early 90's
The Frozen ride is terrible
I went on the Frozen ride once out of pure curiosity. I wouldn’t necessarily call it ‘bad’, but rather somewhere between ’meh’ and ‘disappointing’. Certainly not worth the long wait at the time.

This pavillion opened just two months before my first visit to epcot. I actually was one of the first guests to ride maelstrom and it was awesome. The frozen ride is okay but I liked maelstrom a lot better.

The Norway pavilion is ruined
Ill try to get a playlist with the names of the songs... I think Im missing two-three songs in the loop as they are not anywhere online. I made this based on the names I found on parktunes by individual songs put together.
The song at 36 minutes is Sigmund Groven and Arve Tellefsen with the song Telemarksommer (Telemark Summer). They also have the song Prinsesse Maigull (Princess Marygold) on the loop. Both beautiful songs...

In the several years that i’ve been to WDW, I cant remember the attraction at 1:02. Can someone tell me what that one is?
I believe it's "The Spirit of Norway" film at the end of the ride. (You walk through the theater before exiting the ride building.)

Seriously?! It's bad enough that they're planning to get rid of Maelstrom, but switching the music for reruns of the Frozen soundtrack? At that rate, they may as well change the name to the Frozen Pavilion while they're at it. **rolls eyes**

destinyislandgirl Of course not; I just like to join in on the joke sometimes. ;) I know Epcot wouldn't let the changes to the Norway Pavilion go *that* far, because that would cause an even bigger backlash than what they're already facing as it is.
