I can't seem to find where to get the windows? I Google it and filled in my info, now I'm getting nonstop calls from installers that don't give up. Having to block numbers. Please advise where to get them?
I have learned so much from you, I am a senior citizen going on 18 and I love DIY. My husband passed away last November, so when i wanted to take out a window and seal it up, no more window, i learned this from you. You both are so lucky to have each other. God Bless and many happy years together
We have a "96" Clayton that we bought in 1996. We have been doing a lot of work on it. There is so much upkeep on mobile homes that is actually more difficult than regular houses. So we know the how hard it is to find what will fit. Everything has odd measurements . We always end up at mobile home parts store. Redoing our bathrooms was really an eye opener. We are starting to replace windows now. Our house is paid for and there is no reason to go into debt at our age for a new one. We are hoping to replace our metal siding for wood siding soon. That will really be a chore. Oh, well, such is life. Your home is looking great and you should be proud.
NiNi to #6 haha I don't think you've ever worked on a old 1930s or 40s house or a house that was built in the late 1800s, believe me you think a mobile home is built bad? lol
I used Mobile Home parts store also, for my windows and doors and many things for my mobile home- I did have a colored metal roof put on. But i'm just gonna paint the outside metal siding. Mine was paid for in the begining so its been a work in progress.
It's nice to see someone who has pride in their mobile home. I've lived in my 1972 mobile home for 15 years now and I am always fixing something. Thankyou for the video
My wife's parents passed away a few years ago so we have their old early 90s mobile home that needs a lot of work done to it. This video is helpful because their mobile home has the original windows from when it was brand new.
Yes!! That was something Angela brought up too! Will be very helpful as it gets warmer and we try to ride the temps with fans and avoid the A/C as long as we can to save electricity. :)
I just had to move into a 1992 mobile home and the previous tenants destroyed it. I'll have to do a lot of repairs on my own. THANK YOU BOTH so much for your videos. They've not only helped me immensely but given me the much needed confidence to do what I need to do.
I have been looking for "that not me person" for years! Now that my kids are grown I must tell you that person still visits every once in a while. Nice job, and as always I will continue to pray for you and your family for safety, strength and progress.
I enjoy you 2.... I've replaced my windows as well in my 1972 mobile back in 1988. The windows weren't as nice as yours, but it worked for us. I'm going to look for more of your videos.
Even though I don’t live in a mobile home, I still enjoy watching y’all - your relationship with each other is fun to watch! Y’all look like you have a lot of fun and laughter as you go through life together! God bless!
I am in the process of purchasing a brand new Oak Creek Silver Spur 331 single section home, and since I’ve seen videos of my home about 1000 times, I find myself watching MF pad builds, reno projects, and practically anything else related to mobile homes that aren’t home tours. By the time I need to start doing DIY projects, I’ll be a professional!
We still have a "not me", who opened a chrisstmas package, intended for his mother. I'm almost positive it was my son who is 50 now and still denies it! " They " also kept company with "not me". Love your videos and your home is looking so good.
Your "not me" will eventually cop to it. My girls were 3 and 5 when one of them carved their ABC's into the front bumper of my car.😂 Not me showed up about 10 years later. The windows look great!
The windows look great and I'm sure being able to get some air in will be a plus. Maybe "Not Me" did you all a favor. I think that shelf /desk thing will be lovely with one of your custom made creations to replace it. It will look great with the soap rack that you made. I got my order and I have to say the Lilac Soap smells sooo good. It is for my sister who's birthday falls on Mother's Day this year. She lives in SC. In Ohio we get our lilacs blooming around Mothers Day so the fragrance always put me to mind of lots of bouquets of lilacs for Mom around that time. So the soap will be headed there for her Mothers Day/Birthday. Thanks for sharing your Green acre Homestead Adventures!
I'm buying an old mobile home as a first time home owner and a lot of the repairs seemed daunting and out of my depth. Your video felt down to earth and helps me feel less frightened about doing this myself. I'll be subscribing to keep an eye out for more help in the future.
I just want to say that I'm new to your channel and I have really enjoyed watching you and your wife work together on your mobile home. I really enjoyed it, keep up the good work and God bless.
Your videos are filled with happiness and lots of jokes and smiles, which I love and .....I did smile at the scream from your lads when the window opened .
Thank you thank you thank you so much for this video. Every other video online doesn't even address these kinds of windows. I appreciate the in depth view of everything.
I wish we had this video about four years ago when we replaced a lot of our windows on our 1990 home. We muddled through, and they have been GREAT. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Great idea to show it in slow mo, for a better effect! It's a wonderful thing you were over to the right side & didn't get hurt, Sam! I'm with you, Angela, I love the demo. Great job!!! Take care and God Bless.
The more of your videos I watch the more it makes me miss our 1984 Commodore Comet single wide mobile home. You're doing all the things we wanted to do to ours but bought a house instead. We lived in it from May of 1985 (it sat unsold on the dealers lot for a year) until the end of Sept. of 2003. We wanted a basement incase of bad storms (which we rarely get here in west MI) but if we could do it all over again, we'd have stayed in it and done all that you guys are doing. The really weird thing is we only live about a mile from the mobile home dealer we bought ours from.
God bless you two....the world needs more ppl like you guys. I'm well seasoned in remodeling, self taught. If I would have found you two years ago would of been better. So glad you both have a desire to help others.
Yayyyyyy....new windows!! Yayyyyy I finally bought my gardenia soap (plus one other cuz why not) I gotta tell ya. Our other property is a single wide 1974 (think Fleetwood) mobile home with a livingroom addon and a pole building over the whole thing. It looks a little "different" from the street but....it's comfortable and suits my daughter's family just fine......plus, it's paid for, that's the best part!!!!
Not sure if you will see this but I have to tell you how happy I am to have found you guys. My brother and I have lost our dear mother last year and we have inherited a beautiful double wide in NC also. There are a few issues with the house and we want to make upgrades but don't have a lot of money. I thank GOD I've found your videos and your beautiful family. You had me at ' real people living from check to check' I immediately became a subscriber. Keep up the great work and GOD BLESS.
This really helped me feel more confident in taking it to the next level: installing a vinyl window where none existed. I've done RV window installs, so this wasn't too far off. Making sure I cut the aluminum siding to the correct opening was nerve wracking. It fit the first dry fit, so I was happy I'd spent the time making sure the opening was correct. Then it was 15 minutes installing it. It was best to find an actual brand new mobile home window, with a 1 inch jamb depth. My walls were only 2.5 inches thick. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video. I have never replaced any windows, or done any contracting work at all, but next year I will be replacing all our windows in our mobile home and front and back doors.
Thank God I found you and your Mrs. I purchased two mobile homes last summer and have been search for tutorials for window repair with aluminum frame. You guys are awesome. Thanks , New subbie
Very helpful, and you two are such a sweet relatable pair. Thank you for creating content that I need but dont see much of. I live in a single wide mobile home with metal siding from the 70's so as you may imagine, its basically one severe storm away from falling apart. My father had done most of the repairs and did plenty of remodeling but though a ton of the original home has been replaced, the windows are still these terrible single pane windows and you wouldn't believe the amount of rot I have seen. After living in this home for 8 years, I am so ready to tear it down and replace it or move somewhere else, but until that move becomes financially feasable I get to keep fixing one thing after another knowing its basically a waste of my time and efforts since there is no way my home will last more than a couple more years. But thats life for ya. Gotta make due with what you have. Thanks again.
I just love watching step by step as you both work to make a cozy home! Angela there was a close up while you were taking screws out and I got a glimpse of your ring! Beautiful! I was glad to see you got windows that open! I absolutely love fresh air coming into my home! Great job you two!💖👍🇨🇦
Hi Angela &Sam. You guys make my day when your working together🤗 my I didn't do it was named Elmer, than the I didn't do it sometimes would say maybe Elmer did it. Oh those were the days.Enjoy those I didn't it cause time flys, than they fly the coop. Windows look great, now you'll have a breeze in the dining room. Until my next fun day with you two Bless your Family and have a Great weekend. 🌈🐸🌈. (Kathy in So. Calif.)👌👏
You know I’m not much of a commenting person but for some reason I need to tell you guys this. Their is something about you guys I enjoy waiting your video’s I really like that you both do the job. Good luck & keep it up you look like good people
You 2 are so fun I am so happy that Doug and Ashley had you make the peanut butter stirring widget stick so that I found you all’s channel. Plus I am really enjoying your brother’s channel too!! Thanks for putting the good and happy vibes out into our world 🌎 every little bit helps!
Thanks!! loved your video! I have a 1991 single wide aluminum sided "granny pod", which I love. I had a quote for replacing my windows that was more than my house is worth!! I recently broke the lower half of a window and trying to decide what to do, because they don't just slide out to fix. Your video gave me hope to replace without a lot of drama or expense. Now to find a Kinro window dealer. Happy summer!
Don’t you just love the painter’s tool?! My husband said if he was stranded on a desert island and could take one thing it would be a painter’s tool. 😂 We love them, too.
originally i picked the wrong video for what i was looking for, which was a how to video on how to install a window from scratch for a newer house (like made 2013), but stayed because of how genuine and fun you guys are. I’m also going to just subscribe as well because i would love to see more of how you two function together. Its peaceful to watch.
The childs scream when you opened the window was hilarious..lol...When mine were small we had a 'lodger' called Mr 'I didn't do it' ...never met him but he was certainly busy :D...Home is looking really good, small window boxes below those windows would look cute...
Hey guys I recently acquired a very "fixer upper" late 90s doublewide and your channel has given me so much confidence to tackle these repairs myself. Thank you so much for all you do!!
Our family bought 1st 1958 home in Illinois in 1977. "Not me" broke (6 panes) in our roll out windows. "Not me" used our basketball, left ball print on the glass. ha ha You have me laughing my butt off, with your humor. Thanks for the great video, with prefect scream, when you opened new window. Also love your soaps!!!
Just the video I was looking for!! I've got an older mobile, but its still in great shape, I just want to redo the drywall and figured it would be a great time to up grade the window from a single pane to something that will help with the heat
I watched this video while at work during my lunch break today with my tablet. I am not able to comment using it so I had to log into my RUclips account when I got home to tell you that I finally ordered some soap! I can't wait to get it! On another note.....nice windows!
If you're using your dining room for storage (and believe me, I understand why you have to use it that way for now), where are you eating? Love the new windows, and they OPEN! What great ventilation they should provide in warmer weather! Also, that window that didn't break would make a pretty cabinet-front of some kind.
Looks great and it will give you more ventilation during the summer. I especially like how the window just pops out and slams into the rocks. I thought wow, time to break out the shop vac!
Many years ago I threw a ball in the house and broke a beautiful tea pot of my moms. I very carefully glued it and prayed she didn't use it. I got away with it!!!! Then 40 years later my mom gave me one of her teapots ❤❤❤❤ I filled it with tea and hot water put it on the thanksgiving table and in a few minutes it started to leak all over the place. Yep it was that teapot I broke so many years ago. 😂
Love your videos. Grew up with three sisters and that "Not Me" guy/gal. They were always blaming that "not me" but they were pointing at me!!! Of course when I tried to reaffirm who it was, nobody believed ME!
You guys essentially are going to have a new home. I do enjoy my low E sunlight windows. We paid $26,000 for Pella windows in 1993 and we had to replace a double window as a complete unit and for a complete double swing out window was $8,900 for one replacement window from Pella. I don’t know how people are building new houses or remodeling a home. Prices have just gone crazy!
17:00 was absolutely brilliant timing! LOL!! The new windows look great and it must be nice having those old ones out of there. That was pretty funny when Angela pushed the glass out of them, haha. The mess you had to clean wasn't funny though! Great job guys :D
Yes it was!! 😂 Even not-planned, we're very happy to have them and glad we got to replace them in the end. We'll enjoy having them open come warmer weather. Thanks guys!
Thank you for posting your video. I am faced with an old mobile home that has the Polybutylene fittings and lots of leak damages. Seeing how these things are constructed is helpful so I might have some idea of what to expect! We are also doing windows and electric - soooo Thanks again.

How did you measure the windows to be replaced? From the inside or from the outside? Thank you.

You are so right. It's worse than retrofitting a really old home. Nothing fits right. Sighs.
I beg to differ. I would rather work on Mobile Homes all day long then old Houses or even the new modern "Houses" that are built today.
@@trxtech3010 now THAT'S some crazy measurements. (Old houses)

If you're using your dining room for storage (and believe me, I understand why you have to use it that way for now), where are you eating? Love the new windows, and they OPEN! What great ventilation they should provide in warmer weather! Also, that window that didn't break would make a pretty cabinet-front of some kind.
I was looking for installation on these exact windows. THANK YOU!
We have had your fun! Looking forward to more of your fun.
Mine is vinly however almost needs needs ti be sided
Looks great and it will give you more ventilation during the summer. I especially like how the window just pops out and slams into the rocks. I thought wow, time to break out the shop vac!
We are getting ready to remodel our older single wide. I am really enjoying your videos. Informative and funny!!
Thank you!
She broke that window with such ease. Wonder if she is that "not me" person you're looking for.
😂😂😂 Oh my goodness what a hilarious story!!! Hahaha thank you for sharing this one! We love it!
I don’t believe in karma but this would be a prime example of it. 😂
My son is now 40. That "Not Me" guy visited our home a lot back in the day! LOL
Love your videos. Grew up with three sisters and that "Not Me" guy/gal. They were always blaming that "not me" but they were pointing at me!!! Of course when I tried to reaffirm who it was, nobody believed ME!
LOL Oh no! 😊
So much for saving that pane of glass for a future craft project. 😉
Wow good work!! Thank you for showing ❤❤❤
Awesome couple...awesome renovation..luv n respect from India(darjeeling)
Thank you!
The windows look great!
Good job guys👍🏻
I love your new music soundtracks for your videos!!!
I have a 1989 mobile home I’d like to remodel and replace all windows enjoyed your video thankyou
That window shatter was EPIC!!! LOL... You guys never cease to crack me up! Thanks for the laugh, I needed that!
Build one of those up right desk that you build. You do a beautiful job.
Enjoyed your video, you guys did an awesome job putting in the windows.
Thanks guys!
always enjoy the music, this time especially
Been there, Done That! Looking for how you will install the new window. 👀 looks good!

Thank you for posting your video. I am faced with an old mobile home that has the Polybutylene fittings and lots of leak damages. Seeing how these things are constructed is helpful so I might have some idea of what to expect! We are also doing windows and electric - soooo Thanks again.
Glad it was helpful! We have more projects in the home coming up soon.
Great job. Love watching the both of you working together on a project. Keep up the good work.
Looks so much better
Great down-to-earth people.
