SCRIPTURES:
REV 2:1-7 - Warning to the church in Ephesus that they had drifted from their first Love.
ACTS 18-20 - Pattern of shifting those who had baptism of repentance into baptism of Jesus, which is Holy Ghost and fire.
Matt 3:7-12 - bring forth fruit meet for repentance. The church leaders who don't have the GOOD FRUIT of repentance , of returning to God's commandments, are warned they will be hewn down and wicked chaff into the fire.
1 Timothy 1:8-20 - Timothy stayed in Ephesus, Paul reminding him of the purpose of the Law
Ephesians 4:4-8 - Jesus led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.
Isaiah 14:12 - Lucifer, how far thou art fallen - church of Ephesus compared to Lucifer's sin.
1 John 2:3-5 - those who do NOT keep God's commandments are liars...Ephesus had false apostles who were LIARS = disobeying God's commandments.
Rev 22:14 - access to the tree of life requires obedience to God's commandments...Ephesus is warned to repent SO THAT they can get access to the tree of life, showing they were NOT keeping His commandments.
JOHN 14:15 - If you love Me, keep My commandments...Ephesus was warned to RETURN to their first Love.
