Very cool video!! I totally agree with you on the 7th continent and on the emotional involvement that it creates! I just want to add that the music that Steph referred to is also available on an app that includes the “all-seeing eye”... Try it out! All the best!
It's funny. I had the opposite experience with Aeon's End. I played the base game and loved it, then I played the legacy version and felt like it was a tutorial for real Aeon's End.
Spirit Island is a great pick. I think your first couple of games should be two player max. More players and too much start happening and the game bogs down especially with new players.
Having steph definitely adds to the legitimacy of this list! But i think it would've been cool to have top 10's for each of you -- would definitely need to briefly mention maybe 10-6 instead of cover them so thoroughly though
So I enjoy this video because it gives me some game ideas to look into for me and my friends but a small critique I have is the fact that every game listed is barely explained as to what the overall objective is and how it functions maybe in the future videos throw some of the information in as well, just for consideration thank you.
It's so weird to hear them speak about the Pandemic games as if though it's a different world, and this video was uploaded on Oct. 18, 2019. Just before the pandemic :/ Anyway, I took a break from the Pandemic game during the COVID pandemic, but it'll always be a gateway game for me.
welp they are selling the classic edition on their website which is just short a few things (1 curse, 2 explorers + specific cards beloning to those and some of the KS fancy stuff like minis and cardholders and stuff) for a real bargain. its supposed to be released around christmas i think. shop.seriouspoulp.com/home/78-core-box-english-3760212172618.html
Marvel Legenday.....a game I will never understand why it is so popular. I guess we all have a game that we just don't think is that good despite public opinion.
You guys really don't like heavy games .. I thought that actual board game geeks would appreciate a complex coop game. All of your top games are basically 10 min rules explanation games
I play them all, but I generally don't like long 4-8 hour games. I have been playing Pathfinder the most which I have dedicated hundreds of hours at this point in the past 6 months
I like co-ops, but my wife doesn't, so I don't play them much. We did love Pandemic Legacy 1; but we HATED season 2. Really hated it. So, that didn't help the cause of co-ops in my house.
Omg, u havnt played KDM? Please try it on table top simulator. Its amazing but oh so brutal. Ive put like 500hrs into KDM and to this day ive never beaten the final boss lmao. Zombicide is meh for my group. A big part of the problem for us was the traitor mechanic. Or the solo objectives. Lost so many games due to people hoarding. Arkham horror is a great game but boy oh boy u need like 6 hrs to even get a little through it. Yay 7th continent. Just wish my friends liked it as much as me. With gloomhaven u can get removable stickers for the map. I dont think any cards are torn but are put in box after u see them. Something ive noticed about this list is that its alot of the big bomb board games. Makes me want a list excluding the big games. Can you do a top 10 of small board games / tabletop games. Yaknow the inbetween games like goldrush, contagion or tinygalaxies.
The volume balance here is horrible. The men's voices are low while the music is very loud and Steph's voice sometimes explodes in volume. Had to adjust the volume knob many times during the whole watching process.
Thoughts before I watched: Oh, this would be a tough one for me because I'm completely over cooperative games. They are all the same, to me. It's either "after every player turn the game will beat on you" or "after all the player turns the game will beat on you". Only so many songs you can sing with two chords. Over it... Thoughts after I watched: Oh, yeah. I forgot about Mechs vs Minions. I haven't played in a while, but I do recall enjoying it. They use an auto tune for one of the two chords. I am being hyperbolic, of course. :) I like some cooperative games. Shipwreck Arcana is good, and I enjoy the escape room games (for the most part). Other than that, don't really care for them. Definitely my least preferred genre.
Steph: I’ve played them all!
Literally the first game picked: I’ve never played it.
Lol
lol well, I am good but I am not that good!
You guys have way more fun with cardboard than anyone has a right to! I'm glad you share your enthusiasm.
You guys are on fire with content! Love love love love it!
Mansions of Madness and Mage Knight are a must to have played at least once. Great depth in both games.
My favorites are Aeon's End, Aventuria Adventure Card Game, and Maximum Apocalypse
Aeon's End with all its expansions together with the New Age's expedition mode is an absolute blast to play co-op with!
Yessssssssaa
Not seen you before but really enjoying these videos, thank you! I don't have much time so it is good to have these reviews of a genre.
Spirit island has a huge learning curve. You shouldn’t hate on it just because youre not patient enough to learn
Where is the guy that always makes a list with the timecodes in every ranking video?

hahaha I have heard that before too. I am just happy I started playing and loving it!
Whoa, wait, I've only played Legacy, are you saying the real AE is *harder* than legacy? Holy crap.
5: This War of Mine
4: Burgle Bros
3: Escape: The Curse of the Temple
2: Pandemic
1: UBOOT
19:19 there’s a glitch where it switches from 6 to 5 for no reason while they’re still talking about Legendary
Best co-op I have played in months... Just One.
Love you guys SO SO much!!
Fun vid. Lots of great games. I like the series idea. And Steph is a favourite. Thanks!
Yay! Thanks!
So many great games to play. I need a doppelganger. I'll dedicate hobby time to gloomhaven, Mom 2nd edition mostly. Nice top 10. All great games
You three are great together!
Yay, Steph!! This is a good addition.
thanks!
Our family really digs THANOS RISING.

Fabulous stuff people.

Yah basically why we each don't have a 10. Would likely be a bunch of overlap anyway

I really like Legends of Andor, despite the low replay potential.
I gotta play it again! It is on the shelf and i have only played the first game... 1 time
You guys rock!
Pandemic Legacy Season 1 is our favorite. Do app driven games.
Did you try out Robinson Crusoe? I think that would be a 2nd place for me personally.
very cool game!
please, make a deck building list!!!
I need the shirt that Steph is wearing!!
!Amazon
Not one mention of Horrified? Sad panda :(
I just learned it this weekend after filming! Great game!
I sold all my LoTR LCG stuff and bought a 2nd hand set of AH LCG with 3 cycles plus an extra core set from retail. If you ever have the chance, do it.

It's frustrating that your #1 is a game that was KS only and the rest of us can't ever play.
You can get it second hand... I did. I also thought it was available on the serious poulp website

Legends of Andor anyone?
2011 game "old timey" lol (rolleyes)
haha

Had the exact same experience (enjoyed two plays with different groups, for S1; but S2 just felt like a slog).
Can't disagree with Quirky Circuits more. I played this game at Gen Con and couldn't stand it. Sorry guys, but hard pass.

I agree with Steph on Spirit Island... Long and meh. Also I'm not a fan of asymmettic games. Not for me.
#truth!
