Must educate the public first. I visited Aizwal last month and they use plastic in every shop but the people there are aware of waste management. So they kept their town very clean. So it depends on public.

Ban on single use plastics (sup) and below one litre soft drink & mineral water bottles is very an immature decision, what about other plastic bottles, plastic pouches, sachets, cover of various items etc. it doesn't have negative impact on ecosystem or what. we don't want to impose fine instead the government should come out a better solution. For example, the local town committee/ body should provide three types of dustbin 1) Biodegradable 2)Non Biodegradable 3) Specific plastic dustbin. Awareness need to be created to all public, students and business community to use specific plastic dustbin only Where n when to dispose any plastic materials or else defaulters can be penalized. Most of the plastics are recyclable so that it will make reusable instead of littering your cities or towns. We need to educate not to impose fine..
