Longterm care mental hospitals pretty much don’t exist in the US any more, apart from a few attached to the court, where people can serve court-ordered sentences after crimes.
There are a very few mental health care units around, but the average stay is 2-3 days. And there are some residential training and care centers for those with significant intellectual disabilities, but almost no mental hospitals as seen on the movies.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom to dementia as well 3 yrs ago.
But that doesn't negate that Trump is in the first stages of dementia. I noticed this a few years ago. He was exhibiting behaviours that are textbook first stages of dementia. Likely vascular dementia. He was doing exactly what my mom was. It's not just verbal mistakes but his behaviour as well.
I don't know about Rudy. I'm not really seeing dementia. His weird behaviour seems forced. Could he be faking it? I don't know, but he's not presenting as a dementia victim. I'm not a doctor, but experience tells me Trump definitely, Rudy, maybe? ✌️

I would agree with you Luke. Giuliani appears to be suffering from something. My late sister-in-law, who was the sweetest, the kindest and most empathetic person on the planet had dementia and passed away in 2020. Giuliani’s behaviour reminds me of my Sister-in-law’s episodes 4 yrs ago, after my late husband’s death, that broke her. She was 14 yrs older than him. Rudy Giuliani has suffered unimaginable financial and other unknown losses because of Trump. Trump is spiralling downwards as well. I’m not a doctor, it’s just my opinion.

When Giuliani was campaigning for re-election as mayor of NYC I heard an interview where he claimed he was going the last 48 hours without sleep and going by bus to as much of the city as he possibly could. That struck me as strange at the time, now I feel he had chemical help even though he claimed that he had never needed more than 4 hours of sleep. The other person who has made the same claim and acts the same is Donald Trump. I think they are both suffering from the effects of Aderol and now are not sure when they are awake and when they are asleep.
I can't stand to listen to Giuliani, much less looking at him.
