I love Samantha Barks! She is sweet, bubbly, jovial all in one brilliant package! She was happy as a clam too when I interviewed her for "Les Miserables." She is making her feature film debut and oh my, what a debut it is! She nails it as the lovelorn Eponine. The sassy showgirl whose humble beginnings started in a U.K. reality show, "I'd Do Anything," is on her way to bigger and better things!
In this interview, yes, I sang to her, but we'll get to that:

Guys, news flash: corsets DO NOT affect breathing if you wear a proper and well fit one. In fact, they can encourage proper breathing and improve quality.

She did wear a corset. In an interview she and Eddie Redmayne did he talked about how it made her waist non-existent. How the corset didn't effect her singing is an absolute mystery but she definitely wore one. No one's waist is naturally that small especially when the rest of their body is healthy looking.

Well... It depends on your director and how you personally interpret her. If you want to be more like the book's character, she's very spiteful and bitter but very in love with Marius. However, she's not the most likeable character. Another way would be to play her as sweet, in love, desperate for Marius, even though she knows he will never love her back. (Personally, I prefer a mix of these with moments lending themselves to each facet to make the character more interesting and real.)

How could anyone look twice at Amanda Seyfreid when this chick is on the scene? Marius you idiot! No but seriously, this movie has totally changed my perspective of what cinema can be. I love the book and the musical, and these guys did them both justice.

i can't believe taylor even auditioned... i've only seen her act in valentines day and i didn't like it at all because i honestly just saw taylor and nobody else. samantha was perfect for this part and nobody else could have been comparable
