Fabulous video , very well explained this is how it was explained in a saree shop in Guwahati from where I purchased Mekhela Chador . I have met few Assamese who dont know how to drape this properly. This girl has done a wonderful job in explaining & draping very well. All the experts on Assamese tradition who are commenting this is not right way , why dont you make a video & share . Learn to appreciate people's efforts .

Stitch doesn't matter if you carry your style perfectly. Your mekhela sadar tutorial is awesome. You look amazing. I am from assam and i got some different technics to wear mekhla sadar. It’s nice. Only the thing is that, that mekhela was too big, so for that you have to make bigger size pleats..so that the no.of pleats can remain lesser (3-4 enough). Rest of your wearing is good! You look nice on it ❤.

Little learning is dangerous. It's a total wrong way of presenting our Mekhela Sador. It's an insult to the Assamese culture. Please gather proper knowledge before presenting something which you are not familiar with... don't try to spoil the cultural beauty of a state this way.

Logo ko sikhane se pahle khud Sikh leti mekhela silti kese hain. RUclips hi dikha deti tailor ko keise silna chahiye.
The plain thing is your mekhela (skirt) and printed pattern is supposed to be stitched as border in the sador(saree). Aur mekhela mein hardly 2pleats hotein hein.

Mekhela ki stiching sahi nhi he. Sador ke liye bordar bhi dia gaya he aru blouse piece bhi dia gaya he jo aapke mekhela ke sath hi stitch kia gaya he . Mekhela se blouse piece aur sadar ke liye diye gaye bordars ko pehle remove kar lijie . Phir mekhela ko 2 part me cut carke fir stitch kar lijie. Stitching k bad mekhela me kamar ki taraf plain part aur niche ki taraf working part hona chahie

First of all... The stitching of mekhela is totally wrong...the floral design of mekhela should be horizontal.... The cloth of mekhela should be divided into two parts and then the two parts must be stitched properly with the floral design horizontally placed... Aahhh... 😢😢😢 this hurts...

You really dont have any idea about Mekhela chador.....simple showing off anything in the internet is not a good thing at all....first of all your mekhela is sewed so wrongly.....the borders you see in the mekhela are called side paari which is the border of the chadar and that has to be cut and sewed with a proper piping and join in the chadar borders...your tailor simply joined the mekhela without seperating the side paari borders from the Mekhela..that is why your Mekhela is soo big and having too many pleates..and secondly your way of draping is also wrong
