This was one of the BEST videos of an adventure I have seen. Thoroughly enjoyed everyone of them. Highly recommend it. Down to earth and good quality. Thanks so much for sharing. And did I mention - very inspirational.
Thanks for the words of support, glad you enjoyed it.
Amazing and so inspiring! Watching your whole channel whilst I am on a 2 week quarantine in Japan :)
Thanks, Good luck with the quarantine!
We only have ONE LIFE, and I'm glad that you two get to LIVE IT.
Beautiful vids... Defender, Africa and wild life. Cheers mate 👍
Glad you found the channel and you like it!
Amazing journey ahead, save travels
Good on you guys for making the jump! I think the hardest part of committing to travel is actually doing it. A lot of people will say they're going to do it - that's easy. But to actually pack everything up and hit the road takes a lot. Well done mate :) you'll be so grateful to yourself for filming all of it as well. Keep up the good work
Thanks Josh. It is good to relate to others who have done the same, appreciate it.
Hi Juba, i have watched all your uploaded videos and they are truly exceptional. Love the mix of travel, people, wildlife, nature and incident. Your narration is great, feels like we get to know you both a bit. The programmes brought back so many memories, in 1998 age 25 my girlfriend (now wife) and i drove a 4th hand land rover 110 (1988, petrol) from Kampala, Ug to Cape Town and stayed in many of the same places (plus Mozambique and Zim). It was so awesome to feel on the road again and see those wonderful places in your video films. I have only 135mm slr film pics as a memory. Great stuff and good luck with your creative contnent business. Mark, now nr London, England.
Ps one piece of happy feedback if you’re interested? It was all so great but i struggled with the music which seemed quite repetitive and frequent. Everyone is different and i am probably showing my age. Where you just had natural sound i felt it was much more atmospheric and real.
Ahh thanks so much for sharing your story, I am happy to hear that my videos brought back good memories. Thanks for the feedback, I will keep it in mind.
I think by the time you’re done with your year you’ll wish you just sold all that stuff 😜
Africa is VERY VERY high on our list and I’m excited to see your episodes. Gotta have travel stoke content!!!!
You might be right. Will have to get rid of some of that stuff anyway, got used to living with less!
Well I found it and watched the first episode. Wow absolutely amazing and we will follow your travels. Ja it's very hard to see your home in a 2x4 and saying goodbye to family and friends. But they can follow your travels on RUclips. Now for episode 2.👍😁😎
Awesome. Glad you enjoyed it. 😀😀
Looking forward to the episodes ! Good kick off !
Thanks Rob Nelsen
Just started watching your channel, what an awesome first episode. Looking forward to following your journey! Just a little critique - I'm hard of hearing (Cochlear Implant) and struggled to hear you talking over the background music, hope it improves (softer) in future episodes...
Hi David, welcome and thanks for the feedback, I have tried to improve as I learn, let me know what you think of the rest of the series.
Great video and looking forward to following you guys on an epic adventure. Choice of vehicle top notch. Happy travels.
'n voorbeeld vir ons almal oor hoe om jou drome te volg! Thanks Juba, en sterkte met die journey!
Dankie Christo. Ons almal het drome, klein of groot, werk aan dit!
Lekker julle!
Hey guys just discovered your channel Simply Awsum stuff and loving every bit of your travels!!!! WHAT AN INTRO!!! Which place are you guys at 9:00 please?
Thanks! The place is de pakhuys in the northern cederberg.
@@JubasJourney thank you
Wow. You guys are living my dream. Started watching your channel yesterday. I am now going to watch from ep1. Who did the work on converting your Land Rover. I love the pop-up roof and cupboards and drawers inside.
The work was done by someone who no longer does it, but I bought it after the conversion was done.
One day.. i would luv to do this......its my dream
Believe in your dreams and work hard to achieve them.
I really like your videos. I am spending 3 weeks solo in Namibia so its very helpful. by the way is that a shark @ 7:44
Thanks Wayne. Enjoy Namibia and it is a dolphin @ 7:44.
Wow guys, congrats, & huge respect! Something we also want to do, but petrified of letting go of life as we know it, and of course all those "what if" situations. How did you plan to earn money for your year, or are you travelling on proceeds of house/savings etc? Looking forward to follow your adventure with you!
Hi Christine. You are asking all the questions we asked a couple of years ago. To be honest right now I cannot even remember all the many "what if" situations, except one. “What if I die tomorrow....” We saved the money to do this trip, but that was not the difficult part. The difficult part was making the decision to just do it. That simple decision changed everything.
We set up a budget and saved in the beginning of every month, we cut down on luxuries such as magazines, TV subscriptions, dining out and I have not bought new clothes in 4 years. Everything will not change overnight, all good things take time, it took us more than 3 years to achieve this. Not everyone’s dreams are the same, but the fear of NOT pursuing the dream should be greater than the fear of pursuing the dream.
@@JubasJourney Gosh, 4 years in the making! So nice to see this honest feedback. Not everyone discloses what it took prior to their travels. And often time you're left thinking that they just packed up and went. This really puts things in perspective too. This is great advice, and I love and totally agree with your sentiment about just deciding to pursue the dream! Regret is something we don't want to have later in life, and if not now, when?! All the best of luck guys - safe travels!

Dis waar slles begin neem besluit pak en gaan
Presies, die besluit is nie vinnig geneem nie, daar was baie beplanning, maar alles het begin met daai besluit.
when you sleep in the middle of the dessert and find out the damn thing will not start up the next morning , what are your emergency plans ?
Walk to the nearest place to find help. When we had a flat near Verneukpan, we were lucky and I only walked 1km to the nearest farm to find help. In some places you might not be that lucky. All part of the adventure, or take a satellite phone.

Why did you put all of your stuff in a storage unit? Did you sell your house?
Hi there. We do not own a house, we only rented. So had to put all the stuff somewhere.
