      Thanks! Talking to other fishos I know there was at least another 4 undersized jew and a 10kg model caught that weekend so there's definitely a few along the beach. Best of luck for the weekend!

    Nice Adam, we are staying again for a week in June/July. Might try some beach fishing ths time. I always tell Rachel, fishing is relaxing!
    Am replacing one of my isuzu npr trucks with a 4x4 nps dual cab truck later this year so might do a few beach camping trips on the tray, trying to ease her into the idea.

      Thanks Doug! Beach fishing is probably my favorite style of fishing. I'd do it more often if the cleaning afterwards wasn't so bad!😂 I hope Rachel enjoys it 🤞

    Good one 👍👍👍👍👍 are there tracks linking all the campsites? Young fella and I went over for first time a few weeks ago got 2 worms after watching your instructions 👍👍 we camped at m and watching I think it would of been one of the only ones I would of gotten into hahaha we got a few tailor and flathead I’m trying to persuade people that it’s a good idea I go again this weekend hahaha

      Thanks Cam, I'm stoked you got a couple of worms! Catching your first worm is always the hardest. From there on its just practice 👍
      The new camp letters are throwing me off a bit but I think camp M is the old 15. That's a great campsite down there, lots of grass and shade. The back tracks have a few dead ends so they don't all link unfortunately. From memory I think camp F to M all join up but it's been a while since I drove all the way along the back. Some sections of the tracks are harder than others so it's worth driving them during daylight first. There are some amazing camp sites that are only accessible via the tracks. Hopefully you're back over there in no time!

    Nice one Adam. If you looked out to see through the rain on the Saturday you would have seen the little red boat bobbing around. Has Claire tried Wilde Pale Ale? One of Karlas faves. Quite a few options for the Silly Yaks these days.

      Silly yaks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm going to hold onto that one!
      Cheers Macca 👍 Yep, we've tried the Wilde pale ale. Claire prefers the Gf Hahn, O'Brien's (the red bottle) is her 2nd favorite.

    How much is the camping and barge permits ect , I’ve got a rodeo 4x4 would it be able to handle the tracks ect

    • @adamneeson
      @adamneeson  Год назад +3

      The barge fees vary because it's dependent on what times you travel, but roughly $160 to $280 return. Camping on main beach is about $20 night. If your 4wd has reasonable clearance then it should be fine. The key is to lower your tyre pressure before you hit the sand. I drop mine to 18psi. Driving along the beach is easy if you're sensible about it. The tracks onto and off the beach are where most people come unstuck because they don't lower their tyre pressure.
      Oh and you will need a beach permit too. A yearly permit is about $145 but you can also get a shorter permit that's cheaper.

      Thanks Mark! I wasn't too sure. I've seen a few tailor come in with attack marks but never caught a Jew in the same area before.
