    Instead of tape play got a tailgate gasket you can get that and it will seal your tailgate to help keep dust out. It might be good to put a rubber gasket under your tent where it sticks over the roof so when you do open your Goalwin doors it will touch against the rubber instead a hard surface against higher service it might protect against scratches just an idea. Just so people know as far as I am aware it is the only camp for your truck that’s weatherproof everything else says weather resistant not waterproof which living in the Rocky Mountains in northern Canada that’s a good thing.

    • @Buck0seven
      @Buck0seven 3 года назад +3

      I wish! I’m keeping an eye out for one if they do. Unlike other caps, each lock/latch is completely independent so automating that would be expensive and much more difficult than a single actuator and bar system on most of the fiberglass tops. If you want to open all of them, there are 6 to unlock.

    Wouldn't recommend for colder climates. My locks are always freezing closed (all 6) both the lock and hinge. No cover on the locks and water pools behind the hinge and freezes so even if you somehow manage to get the key in you still have to pry the hinge open with a screw driver. Was trying to get to my tool box in the back tonight and had to throw in the towel because I couldn't get any of the sides open and didn't want to spend a bunch of time heating the locks up. I like the EVO Sport better than the Adventure as it has more of a clean look in my opinion. I was one of the first to get it in the US so they didn't have the Adventure when I ordered it. I think the glass is very strong. I imagine that it could be broken with the right tool but it would take a lot. I put some limo tint on it a couple of weeks ago and you cannot see inside at all. It won't lock the top from the inside. The latches won't shut from the inside so they would be sticking out in the unlock position. I've spoken to RSI about this. That was my initial intention to sleep in the bed but decided not to do that considering this limitation. I think they're going to work on that in the future.

    Ordered my A.R.E shell back in the beginning of Feb. right after receiving my new Silverado, and I just received it earlier this week (over 20 week wait) was told several times that it was being built and and that it would be shipped. Original time frame I was told was 10-12 weeks. After that just plan on getting the runaround. I even offered to drive up to Ohio and pick it up when they told me it was a shipping issue, only to find out that it hadn't been built and that it was just another line of BS they were coming up with. On a good note only 2 of the 4 windows leak....I like the function of the vented windoors but they leak pretty bad. Not looking forward to taking it the dealer, I'm sure they will make up some crap. Paid $3350.00. I recommend going with Leer (I have one on my Ram) it's been on for 12 years and have had NO issues. If I hadn't spent so mush I would take it off and use it for target practice then burn it to the ground. (With the so called fiberglass shortage) you can tell that the shell is much more flimsy than the older style. Have a nice day
