I'm glad this is one of Square's most popular tracks. Simply the most fucking intense headbobbing track ever, I thrash around to this. It's so well made, so Cyberpunk. Love it.
The weird thing is, I lived in Tokyo for years, and actually used those stations and listened to Squarepusher on my headphones. I actually lived on the Sobu Line (The train with the yellow stripe), and spent many a rotten night drunk in Shinjuku and Shibuya (also shown).
This is where AFX, Squarepusher and Autechre come together as the Holy Trinity, cleansing all life on earth and its music and to reemerge as a single, divine musical entity. A new world has begun.
For me, the holy trinity of the IDM includes Tom, Rich and Mike Paradinas (Uziq). It has more relationship with them, (especially with Rich with whom he made a joint album) as well as having the main characteristics: being a producer, composer, having multiple aliases, etc. Then there would be Luke Vibert and Aaron Funk (Venetian Snares) and then the duets Autechre, Plaid, Boards of Canada (although the latter are not as IDM)

To me this hilights the digital noise of modern society, mostly caused by public advertisement. Loved the music and the music video! Going back to the peace of nature now
actually i think it's the viewpoint from a.i. systems. a.i couldn't understand human culture in the beginning so it sees public advertisement as gibberish or an unknown language, it only understands what it is told to understand, like traffic lights and people as navigation and self driving cars are the first priority. I found a youtube channel of cinematographers + musicians on youtube called Cyrcle. Fire content. So beautiful. My personal favorite recently was CloZee wherever she been at recently(several venues) and Shpongle at RedRocks2021. All of that should be on youtube at 1080p or 4k. Enjoy.

a lot of it is done with machine learning so not as much "editing" as exporting a usable video file (hence credits for video export tool dev and machine learning engineer) they are able to basically feed a video of people walking around etc then the machine learning AI inputs all the "effects" based on information from the video stream, definitely not so much carefully hand editing all the effects seen but having them generated as a function of the input, still a lot of work but not quite in the way u may think, it's more a project based on existing tech than like, a wonder of editing

Maestro Jenkinson this is wicked. And the video is something of a visual zeitgeist; also it resonates with me in that it’s quite similar to how I feel having an anxiety attack whilst attempting to go anywhere, esp a frantic urban center. Glitchy billboards around the quivering city are both a shrieking commercialism one cant escape as well as a ketamine dose - to me anyway. Also I instantly imagined the woman at the beginning being the lil girl from ‘Come My Selector’ grown up, which I suppose is silly but gave me an extra grin. Kind regards to the ~Daddy~

Lol, just had a deep learning lecture on image segmentation and classification. I was barely listening to what the prof was saying because,as he described bounding boxes, this tune and video clip just kept playing over and over in my head.

Maestro Jenkinson this is wicked. And the video is something of a visual zeitgeist; also it resonates with me in that it’s quite similar to how I feel having an anxiety attack whilst attempting to go anywhere, esp a frantic urban center. Glitchy billboards around the quivering city are both a shrieking commercialism one cant escape as well as a ketamine dose - to me anyway. Also I instantly imagined the woman at the beginning being the lil girl from ‘Come My Selector’ grown up, which I suppose is silly but gave me an extra grin. Kind regards to the ~Daddy~
