Hoping for a proper engine revamp to fix all the texture/model/LOD pop in, dated systems like climbing or even how stiff movement can feel sometimes even though that will probably never happen. The game doesn't look its age, but it definitely feels its age.
@@Kashira25398 We are used to the jankiness of BDO. It might not seem like much, but new players notice it and it can be a turn off for sure. They really need to look into it if they want the game to continue for another 10 years!
@@gr8b8m85 yeah thats fair, movement with weapons put away and not autopathing still feels super weird and its the first thing new players experience. They def need to work on some things to make it feel better for people who don't know the controls as well
BDO often feels like it is developed inside a vacuum. They refuse to just steal good ideas from other games and add them in. It feels like they are forcing themselves to go through the stages of evolution by themselves instead of just using the shortcut of seeing what is already working. I'd like group content and harder content in general if the visuals and everything lined up better. I think something similar to Mythic+ in WoW could work in BDO, but better aoe indicators, mechanics, and ui elements to display actually needed information needs to be done.
It is interesting how bdo has shied away from instanced content and teleporting in the past, but with the introduction of magnus and the new nodewar system, I honestly think they are angling more towards an arcade style of game! It will be super interesting to see though now that we aren't trapped behind the update cycle of either falling or deboreka what they will do this ball.
Over a period of 2,5 years I built up only my assecories. worth: 285 billion. Now: worth 120 billion (after changes in 2024 second jetina and deboreka start ) Thats the situation for many players. - No one word about that in Heidel. - Question: where is my lost playtime and all the costs I invested in enhancing ? - Am I an idiot ?
The accessories going down in price did hit alot of players, overtime things are just going to become cheaper and easier to get so the total silver value will go down, but you still have your gear and can grind the newer spots. Its hard to say where all silver goes, since there are alot of silver dumps in the game like infinite pot and cups that take silver but don't really give gearscore. Still though with debo pushing regular accessorie prices down it does feel like players are losing past progression, which is why I want some new gear piece to enhance, rather then just a better debo or better weapon

yeah engine revamp would be really big, though I'm not sure if they are willing to commit to that at this point
