📢 Lucky Fledges / Crashes Into Branch! - US Steel Nest Claire, Irvin & Lucky (6/23)

0:08 - Lucky fledges Sunday morning - view from cam 2 shows a beautiful flight out.
1:50 - View from cam 2 shows something a bit less celebratory. As Lucky begins flying away from the nest, s/he misjudges a landing possibly, smacking into a branch and going down!
2:10 - The original clip was rather tough to see, so I zoomed in a bit & slowed it down.
Lucky has not been seen since this incident. I believe they are going to take a better look on-site tomorrow. I'm not quite ready to panic yet, but I'll feel much better when we have a visual on Lucky, for sure! They did get some rain there today as well. I don't think Claire & Irvin have been consistently present & visible today either, so it's quite possible that they are well aware of where Lucky is & tending to him/her.

That was awful to watch and I was worried about her until she was seen flying around learning to be an
eagle! Today she flew to a high tower wind surfing!!!! She looks great, well fed and strong! Thank you Wings!
