I "hated" my stock 2013 Ultra Limited engine and suspension. I ride in the mountains of New Hampshire, and the lack of early torque combined with a poor suspension made the motorcycle perform at a scale of 6 out of 10. I went with the S&S 551 cams, but I love Zippers products and would have chosen the 525. I picked up 20 ft pounds of torque starting at 2,000 RPMs. I also went with Ohlins front and rear. I now score my motorcycle at a 9 out of 10. As a bonus, the tune and cam also reduced the heat felt by my passenger and me. Worth every hard-earned dollar.
Nice! A great tune will make a huge difference. I too am looking to upgrade my suspension after my MUSCLE 107 upgrade. I talked with a guy at the Öhlins booth during Bike Week and he mentioned they didn't have anything for the 41mm forks.
I have a Fueling 525 in an 88 Dyna with a stock CV 40. It's great to hear someone mention that the Dyna chassis has limits. I have twin disc on the '99 FXDL and the suspension is well sorted but there's no point going further. Clutch is uprated and starts to feel heavy after an hour or so.
