    I finally received my 2 door, hard top Wildtrak Feb 9th. I had a reservation from day 1.
    I opted to wait out the 2 door hard top and i tell ya, it was well worth the wait!
    I got the Hot Pepper Red (actually burnt orange) and it is a beautiful and fun ride. I actually had to make room in the garage to put it... My wife named it "Milkshake" as in 'my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard...' because i get soo many neighbors and drive-by people coming over to look, it kept setting off my driveway camera.

      Wow, talk about patience! So you've wait almost 2 years to get behind the wheel of yours and it sounds like it was worth the wait. That Hot Pepper looks pretty sharp! Have you had a chance to take it off-road yet?

      Not yet. We are planning a trip to one of the OffRodeos ford has, this summer. Being a responsible adult takes up too much time, hence I’ve only got 900 miles on it.

      I just bought the same color four door Wildtrak. The red was a bit difficult to get used to. But I love it now. It didn't include the rock-rails or running board which I need to protect the side paint. Great vehicle.

    Came here for your Palisade videos previously, now here for Bronco Videos! My 22 Wildtrak in Area51 color will be here next week! Love how in depth your videos are. Thanks for continuing to release these!

      Glad to have you back! That's exciting about the Wildtrak. The Area 51 seems to be a pretty popular color for the Bronco and Maverick! Appreciate the support :)

      Thank you! Exciting about the new ride and low mileage for a 2022, hope you got a good deal on it. You're going to have a blast with the Bronco. Are you planning on using it just as a daily driver or take it for some off-road adventures?

    • @mwbrada
      @mwbrada 9 месяцев назад

      I feel I got a great deal as it was listed well below mean average prices for all Broncos, let alone being a Wildtrak Advanced. It will be a mostly daily driver (during the winter) and likely just light off-road adventure like getting to mountain bike, kayaking, and camping destinations. I feel it will be a beast in snow and ice and more than capable of any off-road adventure I would likely throw at it. Ford just killed it with this one!@@CarsWithSteve

      Hey Rhonda! There's not too much going on overhead - there are the base light controls - left/right/all dome lights, and then the control for whether they come on when the doors are opened!
      The rearview mirror doesn't have any sort of controls or other buttons either! There are some more Bronco videos coming out over the next few weeks though.
      What Bronco build do you think you're going with?

  • @admorris11

    In the beginning you said it had detachable sway bars…the wildtrack does not

    • @CarsWithSteve

      Didn't catch that in editing, so thanks for pointing it out. Front/Rear locking diff but no sway

  • @alaing4276
    @alaing4276 2 года назад +1

    You may as well spec a Badlands Lux with Sasquatch and you will then have an even more capable vehicle than the Wildtrack for the same price. Badlands comes with stabilizer bar disconnect and the Wildtrack does not

    • @michaels7984
      @michaels7984 2 года назад +1

      You csn get different shocks for the wildtrak now that make it much better for higher speed off road. Which trim is better just depends on what kind of off road you do.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  2 года назад

      Stabilizer bar disconnect would be a good reason to go for the Badlands with Sasquatch. I'm going to have to find some owners with Badlands Sasquatch and Wildtrak to see how they perform offroad

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  2 года назад

      @@michaels7984 good point on the type of off-roading done. Think it would make sense for Wildtrak for simple climbs, desert runs etc with the Badlands Sasquatch for rugged rock climbing?

    • @alaing4276
      @alaing4276 2 года назад +1

      @@CarsWithSteve I have the badlands and my friend has the Wildtrack. Both vehicles are excellent and will do 99% of the same thing very well. The point I’m maki g is that the badlands has several other advantages like. Wash-out floors, marine grade vinyl along with the stabilizer disconnect. Badlands has the same Baja mode for high speed off tossing and the same Hass suspension system etc….

    • @mpeugeot
      @mpeugeot 2 года назад

      @@alaing4276 the GOAT modes don't matter, my OBX has Baja mode and sport mode, as a matter of fact... my Outer Banks Edition Bronco has all 8 GOAT modes. It also has the HOSS 2.0 suspension from the Badlands. Admittedly, I don't have the sway bar disconnect or the front locker (both of which will be addressed in alternative ways - Torsen LSD up front and manual quick disconnects for the front sway bar).

    The Bronco is nice but even if you off-road “regularly”, a couple of weekends a month from May - September, you are on road with it over 90% of the time. I believe I will be much happier with my BB Bronc. Easier parking in the city, greater maneuvering, better fuel economy, I like the interior of the Sport AND I genuinely like the lines and proportions better on the Sport. 30 year old me would have gave his left arm for a 2 door Bronco, 50+ me…the BB Bronc is the vehicle I’ve always wished for, a ford mini Range Rover! I should have it within 8 weeks now.

    • @CarsWithSteve

      Great reasoning on the Bronco vs Bronco Sport. I think it's like the Jeep Wrangler world for some people.. they want it just to have it. It's like we get more practical as we age 😉

    • @mpeugeot
      @mpeugeot 2 года назад

      The 2 door Bronco is every bit as easy to park as the baby Bronco. Also, the two door is likely to be more maneuverable due to the fact that it has a shorter wheelbase when compared to the baby Bronco. While you may be enjoying better fuel economy (my best hwy mpg at 80 MPH has been 23.5 mpg over a 350 mile leg), I am enjoying 330 Horsepower and 400 ft/lbs of torque. Best of all, I have had my 2 door Bronco for 5 months now. Oh, and I am 55 years old.

      @@mpeugeot I’m glad you are enjoying your ride. I currently drive a lifted f150 and the city of Toronto is not a easy place to park a vehicle that is 6’ 9”. Being able to have a lift and still be able to get into your average garage is a big advantage to me.

    • @mpeugeot
      @mpeugeot 2 года назад

      @@johnbriggs2659 my F-150 never fit in my garage either (it was too long) 2011 3.5l XL 8 foot bed with the HDPP and a Tommy-Lift on the back. Being able to park in a garage is really a nice option to have. My Bronco, on 33's, doesn't have a problem fitting in the garage.
