I was flying at FL 360 heading out west when a whole squadron of B-2's flew by my airplane. The last one rocked it's wings. ATC said I was in for a treat. Very impressive aircraft. Can't wait to someday see this new one.
We had to assume the instant the funding for the F-22 disappeared that a new project was already in place to replace it. I'm amazed that it's progressed this quickly, though.
I'm actually not surprised by the speed, think about the computers of the 1990's that designed the f22 vs computers today, also AI is already being used to design cars, not to mention you can 3D print with any material, I just want to see what it looks like
I’m a bit surprised, but not much, as some minor tech advances can have a major impact on the effectiveness of a combat aircraft, and specially the F-22 and YF-23 were basic build around their components, and from what I’ve learned this meant only upgrades with the same footprint, or smaller, could be installed on the aircraft, so say they came up with a more powerful engine, and a better air to air radar, but each slightly larger than they ones used on the F-22, as I understand it, they wouldn’t be able to be installed as it lacks the space. This on it like skin tight jeans, if you loose weight you can still fit in them, but let’s say you work out on your legs, and lose a bit of weight, but your thighs and calf’s put on an inch in diameter suddenly the skinny jeans won’t fit, despite weighing less now, because the area for the calf’s and thighs are not big enough for your larger legs.
How much do you think the debacle with the Chinese spying on the F35 design process contributed to a huge increase in secrecy over this system's design process? I get the feeling this project is longer in the making than we understand. I'd imagine new technologies and processes have been in the works since the F22 deliveries began, from the air force themselves and hopeful contractors.

It seemed to be traveling at a thousand miles and hour." The ATC replied, "We're not painting any other aircraft in your vicinity." Years later the public learned about U.S. stealth aircraft. And about a decade after that I put 2 and 2 together and concluded that civilian pilot saw one of our stealth planes flying in non-military airspace. Considering the F22 was flying nearly 15 years before anyone even knew about it tells me that this fighter is already in production and flying around. If war breaks out we are going to see alot of stuff that noone knew existed. It's quite terrifying really.
It's very possible. The SR-71 Blackbird first flew in 1964 and both the B-2 Spirit and the F-117 Nighthawk were flying for years before the public knew of their existence, and technology doesn't stand still.

In 1991 I worked the summer at a car dealer. It was a very slow day and four of us were standing outside in case a prospect came on the lot. 3 of us were 40 plus and one young man in his early 20’s. The young man said look a “Stealth,” as he was watching a new Dodge Stealth drive by. However, the other 3 of us all looked up to the sky going where, where. That was the first day I felt old.

Considering most aircraft spend decades in research, development, and funding, I don’t find it hard to believe that the 6th generation of fighters has been flying for the past 10-20 years. Hell, the F-22 was flying by the 90’s and I know it was being researched long before that.

@@sabrevanson4412 don’t forget that the us has beeeeennn working on big Bertha and is currently working on the b-21. Most technologies specifically military technologies pull from other projects and failed prototypes. Wether that’s from failed proposals or competitions that we didn’t really hear about. Based on us aircraft development you could be right that the project “started” before the one year mark., but was tucked away and modernized. That happened with the F-22, F-18, and f-16 to name a few. With that being said as an engineer who uses cad softwares, I’m telling you right now, if you have enough engineers and powerful enough computers you could design one in a couple weeks. Speaking to its flight systems I’m not sure. But it is extremely possible if you add in the most technologically challenging pieces of an aircraft are usually purchased and already in production, such as the radar, engines, and weapons. Another thing is that the way calculus works, and throw in possible far ahead technologies they maybe using, it’s entirely possible that they’ve coded a program that auto generates how the external body is shaped, which would be one of the major sticking points.
"Designed, built, and flown within a year" means the aircraft almost certainly has the same engine, flight computer, and probably radar as the F35/,22. It's probably testing the airframe, and little else. May also have thrust vectoring, as it will need that if it is indeed a flying wing (for maneuverability), which is even more reason to start testing the airframe early.
yeah I reckon too, who knows how long it's been getting tested. might be doing a bit more than that as well lately. it's possibly what some people thought was et when witnessed.
Additive manufacturing allows for rapid prototyping and production in all kinds of materials. Massive 3D printers on steroids using all kinds of different processes and materials. Can be done in house. BMW for example uses the laser sintering process to print turbo housings and other car parts that are in use by consumers. The fact they made a next generation prototype in one year tells me there is technology we simply are not aware of. Waiting for the next wave of UFO sightings lol
3:45 the military have been interested in how f1 teams operate. they usually have updates for the car each race and are on a bath for constant improvement. Compare this to a fighter jet that might not get updated for a decade.

Two cars in an F1 team is a hell of a lot easier to tinker with than several squadrons of aircraft, that require full integration of hardware and software, avionics, weapon systems, communication, pilot life support and radar. Your point is naive and not thought out.

One early Sunday morning i was out in my garden and was repairing some overhead netting when a blur caught my eye coming over the horizon. I focused in and saw a elongated diamond shape with two little fins in the back. the undercarriage had what looked to be a dome, one under each wing . I could see the shape of it and the outlines of the vehicle itself but it blended in to the sky above it as if it were active camouflage, if i wasn't looking up i wouldn't of noticed it because as it passed by it made no sound. this was Sunday morning at 6 am and a plane had just crossed the sky from one horizon to the other without a whisper, that was creepy, what was even creepier was that it had crossed the sky in about 5 seconds. It was quick, real quick, i didnt have a chance to pull out my phone i was just in awe of the speed and how it almost perfectly blended into the background of the sky....almost.

The f22 was done when like back in the late 90’s or early 2000’s? we the people didn’t really find out about it till around 2010… so just say 15 years later.. obviously they’ve gotta try to conceal what they can for as long as they can… strategically at least until it is done done…
@@MississippiKid96 I knew about the F-22 before 2010. In fact it was revealed in 1997, the same year it made its first flight. I'd say it was common knowledge by the time it entered service in 2005. If you look further back, there were 25 years between the first flight of the F-15 and F-22, 29 years between them entering service. It's now been 24 years since the F-22 first flew, so probably about time for 6th-gen to be flying, but still a few years before it's ready to enter service. I don't think the military is quite as secretive as a lot of people think. The B-2 was also revealed a year before its first flight (the same year the F-117 was revealed), for example. Pretty easy to know what they’re working on. Zero Point Energy / Free Energy Propulsion. TR-3B/Aurora is a craft rumoured to already have flown in the 90s
Technology wise the 6th gen fighter is about the equivalent to the Wright flyer compared to the actual tech. The vast majority of those watching this video were not even born when the YF-12A was flying let alone the SR-71. The 117 was flying 10 years before you ever even heard of it since it had already been flying already in 1980. Whatever they manage to show the public is already 30 years or more behind in actual tech that they might even allow shown. True tech levels are way beyond that.
Interesting stuff. Definitely a solid upload my man. I am fascinated by this new tech, is this supposed to be the loyal wingman I've heard talked about or could it perform wheels up to wheels down as an independent/self-contained platform when directed? Even more terrifying, problem solving, input/output code controlled deadly supersonic weapons, working together to achieve interperated goals....? You know what, I wish I had some.
Basically a greatly upgraded YF-23 with drone & piloted versions ( no mini drone version --range & weapons load have to be the same). Vert stabs are down (and other 'silent' modes engaged) to maximize stealth as they approach enemy air.... whose formations/plans are in disarray from a volley of long-range-A/A missiles coming down on them fired by the F-15EX 'Missile Trucks' above and behind the ADF's. At the merge they convert to a maximum-maneuver-mode while the drones press-on to engage any re-enforcements showing up in a programmed 'set' piece of airspace.
Your missing the entire Valkyrie drones that act as wingmen, and can launch Altius-600 drones. Also it is in no way related to the YF-23, that is a Northrop design and the new NGAD is a Lockheed design from all reports.
@@Thornbeard You can't tell this shit to people stuck on the yf 23 and the f 22 lovers won't admit both planes met specifications for the air force and to know which ever one was better is classified. @@brandonstrife9738 yeah, well these videos are all about speculation anyways, so of course that’s going to occur in the comments. Also, I could easily see the YF-23 framework being used on the next fighter, as it’s body shape and style proved to provide some advantages that the Air Force would be crazy to ignore going forward. That’s not to say that this will be an upgraded YF-23, just that there is a good possibility that the shape of it’s body might be used as a starting point for development of this new aircraft. But, only time will tell.
I think the idea of a missile truck is an excellent one - an idea that's well overdue. But I don't think the F-15EX is the best aircraft for the job. It's just not stealthy or fast enough. I think we need something like a scaled-down, more stealthy, faster B-1 that is armed to the teeth - kind of like an oversized fighter that, in a pinch, can get down and defend itself in A2A combat.
I notice there was no mention of an adequate replacement for the A10. The thing the Air Force absolutely refuses to acknowledge is the Fact that you can not win a war solely from the air. Ground Attack is almost impossible at 250-300 kts airspeed. It's a lesson learned during Viet Nam the USAF wants to ignore in favor of super cruise at Mach 1.5 speeds at the expense of the Troops on the ground. As a former Ground Pounder I can tell you right now that you don't control a piece of ground until you stick an 18-19 yo Trooper on it with a rifle.
Ummmm, the USAF is already testing a Replacement for the A10 updating it to 2021 Standards . and possibly with 3 Turbo fan engines. an a 30mm Vulcan fireing Depleted Uranium.
I know there’s been no actual air to air combat with the raptor (that I know of) but I said it in another comment, I would bet money that as of right now, the raptor would wind up with at least a 10:1 if not 30:1 kill ratio if not higher,.. just not anything out there that poses a real threat to it yet… whether we’re talking BVR engagements, or dog fighting…. It’s still better than su57 and J-20.. the raptor has a lower overall IR signature than both, it’s long range air to air is still more lethal.. it’s still more maneuverable than anything out there yet..
@@2jsanc681 If they don't break. We can't fix them. We literally lost the forms, tooling, and jigs to make a lot of the replacement parts. Combat planes get damaged. If you can't fix them, they become disposable. Even worse, they're COMBAT PLANES. They're SUPPOSED to be disposable.
What if the famous 'Tic-Tac' UFO encountered by carrier fighters was indeed the new 6th gen fighter? Highly unlikely, of course, but if it was, it would be like upgrading from a horse-drawn carriage to a Bugatti Chiron.
I seen some kind of new craft. I believe it was a blimp delta cross. It ran silent and slow until it wanted to leave then it took off fast without noise. Btw it was two times the size of a traditional stealth bomber and had no discernible tail. It was pretty cool.
An F-117 landed on our flightline (and taxied directly into a hangar, which was immediately secured) overseas in 1980, yet the US military didn't admit to having them until April 1990, four months after its combat debut in the Panama invasion of 1989. I also worked on F-4 Phantoms - an aircraft that began it's service life in 1960. The US military claimed they had a top speed of "mach 2.4" - pretty fast, even by today's standards. Yet an RF-4b was capable of a top speed close to mach 3. I say all that to say this: When the US military 'fesses up to a certain level of technology, they already have something better/faster/more advanced IN USE, and what they have in development is quite a bit beyond THAT.
After a bit of thought, it dawned on me that the reason the F-35 was way over budget and took so long to be produced is; they were building two fighters simultaneously, hiding the 7th generation behind the 6th generation's development. That is how they surprised the world with the sudden development and production of the 7th generation fighter! Clever, now that begs the question; how far along are they on the development of the 8th generation, oh my!
It’d be wrong not to make one and test it’s capabilities in our atmosphere… plus fitting solar panels would take a lot of electrical load off some of the craft maybe.

@Russell Miles I use my assessment from personal experience I'm a navy veteran Of the eighties, my dad was a Vietnam Veteran. We used to talk about things like that. The aircraft that they used during the Vietnam War were designed in the fifties And when they encountered the MIG 17 Is a very small, simple, and maneuverable fighter jet And was shooting these high Tech fighter jet out of the sky. The navy and Air Force had to rethink their Philosophy. The fact of the matter is that the F4 Phantom did not have a gun on it. Missiles in that time period were not that reliable. But you must have air superiority to be able carry out missions. Period.... Peace through power is the only way you keep the worlds tyrants at Bay.

I wonder if the design process incorporated mass deployment and use of 3D printing on site to reduce time and cost with supply chain. Incredible putting this together in 1 year!
I live down the street from the Skunkworks and there has been plenty of activity there, supposedly working on a cargo plane (yeah right). One of my friends in Palmdale said he has seen something with 6 engines flying out of the airport at night and there is no such layout in our current inventory!

as a us general once said in a classified mostly deleted interview: "When we are told that we need to upgrade..any cability, we already have one that matches..the adversary..(And Who is the adversary?) someone who wishes they had what we have."
The contours aren't defined yet but the filling/avionics characteristics are updated every week from fight simulations which are are far cheaper than real combat with destroyed planes and dead pilots. And most importantly - none of the enemies is acquiring combat experience while the USAF is growing "while sleeping". The variable angle ruders might be combined with the YF23 design for a good mix between gliding and maneuvering fight.
If only ... Don't get me wrong ... the F22 is amazing, but so was the YF-23 ... In fact, if I was in charge of our (British) RAF procurement, instead of the delayed, and aging Eurofighter Typhoon, especiallygoing by the date it eventually entered service, I would've asked "Well, if you're not going to use the YF-23, can we ... ? Of course, in return that means giving us large contracts with Rolls-Royce and BAE, on a cost-to-cost basis, in return, but I think you can live with that ..."
The three engine design is gonna be breathtaking when revealed. Basically one engine in the centerline is only opened up past Mach 4, likely the plane will be faster than Mach 6. The SR72 which it will be codeployed with tops at Mach 7+ and will act as recon and radar jamming. Not to mention drones which can *redacted* will be fired on hypersonic missiles that will join these aircraft on sorties. It’s utterly game changing, meanwhile China and russia are still dicking around with 5th Gen crap.
The problem of maintaining of "Classified Projects" insures hidden faults and over-promising of design details. Occurs in monumental levels until discovered. Which was the problem with the F-35. Causing the F-15 and F-16 to remain in production decades longer. Than its supposed replacements. Which could not maintain any confidence the F-35 / F-22 could replace them. Space X did the opposite and kept everything open and honest. Thereby making sure annoying failures were found early and corrected on the spot. Driving the creating process far faster than any other aerospace company ever does. As well as developing products that are costing1/100 to 1/1000 of standard aerospace designs. Which is why Blue Origin is a failure as it is based on standard aerospace methodologies. As its products are years behind intended goals and has yet to put a single rocket into orbit. Were as Space X in now the leading company in aerospace design. Because it makes its failures public knowledge. And promptly corrects those failures. And creates new designs based on what was found out why the previous designs failed. Then moves on to better designs. Resulting in successful operational designs.

Highly doubt even then we'll "see" anything. It will do its mission and go back to base.
It's very possible. The SR-71 Blackbird first flew in 1964 and both the B-2 Spirit and the F-117 Nighthawk were flying for years before the public knew of their existence, and technology doesn't stand still.

This was stimulating but I can't help but notice something. The overall message is:

At the merge they convert to a maximum-maneuver-mode while the drones press-on to engage any re-enforcements showing up in a programmed 'set' piece of airspace.

I think the idea of a missile truck is an excellent one - an idea that's well overdue. But I don't think the F-15EX is the best aircraft for the job. It's just not stealthy or fast enough. Yea but I mean just those 100 22's alone are more than capable of wiping out entire nations.

It would be epic if the NGAD fighter turned out to be a YF-23-based design.
I dont see any reason why it would be based on a design from the 80s.
Great upload today !! I enjoyed ever bit of your content. Keep up the fantastic work !!
What about them 🛸 tho?
Excellent report Dark
Was wondering why the F-22 was suddenly doing air shows. If that's the old model this must be beyond comprehension
The 22 has been doing air shows pretty well since it’s public debut.
New to this channel. Does any of the stuff on this channel ever come to fruition?
Always great videos out of the dark “Empire”. Please keep them coming..
