Hi Jay, today I had my PTE test, after spending 2 weeks on your RUclips channel and watching and listening to everything, to be honest I'm not fully satisfied with the score I got today, the computer screen wasn't clear it was as if it's dirty and something is sticking to the screen, I even tried to clean it with a tissue since I had nothing else with me, I even informed the spectator, and he said that there's nothing to be done about, I made many mistakes because the words weren't clear cause of the screen :')), on the other hand the headset wasn't good enough, it's not just the fact that I could hear everything everyone else was saying, but it suddenly made the speakers voice unclear or it'd lower their voices even if I volume all the way up or down, I even informed the spectator about this as well and replied with "It happens time to time, we can't do anything about it" I went there today and I knew I will get over 80, but I got an overall 74 mostly cause of the reading and listening parts :')) It was my first time taking the test, what can a person do at times like these? I'm thinking of retaking the test after a year in a better place with better devices, but we only have one center here for PTE :')) Any suggestions?

Hi Jay, thank you so much for your guidance. I got an overall score of 90 and I practiced only 9 days. Yes 9 days. My breakdown was L-90 , R-85, S-90, W-89 I watched most of your videos and 2 other tutors on RUclips as well (I will be thanking them as well) . Just sharing some experience of mine with the community. 1. DI & RL - Used a template. 2. RA practiced with your content as well with a background noise on. 3. ASQ - There was on question where I wasn't sure which answer so I said all three. 4. WE - I tried to study the template. But with the time crunch I had, I only could memorize bits and pieces but I followed your advice to ensure the grammar and vocabulary was decent. While maintaining the structure and content. 5. RS - Used your examples a lot and went through your tips and tricks 7. MCQ Multiple Answers ( Both ) - I only answered one answer which I was 100% sure of and clicked next. Didn't want to risk a negative mark and waste time. 8. HCS - Found a super method on YT where the last line of the summary matches the audio contents last 5-10 seconds. I practiced with it on 4-5 examples and all worked. Super method. 9. SST - Followed your simple template and advice to connect the lines. Super method Note - All new words I came across during the preparation I looked it up and practiced the pronunciation as well. I am kind of decent in my grammar and spellings. As a movie and TV show freak I watch all content with subtitles (to ensure I do not miss anything ) on and I read a lot of comics :) Once again Jay, Thank you so much!!

Thanks to you and E2, I received an unexpectedly favourable result.🙏 🙏🙏 highly recommended for anyone out there to prep for PTE. E2 really knows their stuff. Just want to share though, in my speaking test today, the duration of the recording for Describe Image response wasn't shown, so it was hard to gauge how long I have spoken for and how many more seconds I had left. I also wasn't sure when it started recording, and was afraid I had started speaking too early. Only a moving green bar was shown but no number of seconds that it represents. This affected my speaking responses a bit. Just a note to future test takers out there

OMG!!!!! I am lost! I need help on the PTE HOME!!!!! Where are the videos for the PTE home!! There is nothing about the tasks for the home version. NONE for describe images and Retell a story/1 so difficult. Pleas Jay make some videos about this!!!

However, my writing marks was lowest than other sections. I was wondering this might be because I didn’t click the next button in all the questions in writing section and waited till time was up. Hi Jay!! I did my PTE Sunday the 23rd of January and got my result morning of the 25th. I am happy to say that I passed my PTE and exceeded my target score thank you so much!! Overall 90: Listening 86 Speaking 87 Reading 90 Writing 90 I now have passed both of my PTE, one in 2018 and now in 2022, thanks to you and the E2 Language team!! Tried and tested 😊🥳❤️ PS: I also watched a video regarding managing stress before your test day, that was so helpful also because days before the exam I was stressing but after I watched the video, it helped me reframe my mind and just take it easy, relax. Breathe. Can’t thank you enough 🙏🏼
@@biancaleann7995 Hey! 😊 I think because I practiced heaps, it was a little bit easier for me honestly, compared to some of the practice questions I have encountered. There were some difficult parts like the R&W Fill in the blanks, it was tricky and I had to think about my answer longer than I should have. I’ve always struggled with repeat sentence and i think that’s why my listening and speaking were few points shy from 90, the sentences towards the end were long 😬 I just faked it and tried to sound as confident as I could even if I was uttering nonsense.. Jay’s guide for writing essay and summarise written text is excellent which is why my score for writing is 90 😊
