thanks for the tour, i just love going with you on the garden tours. my banana tree is blooming now and it's beautiful. you have your gardens set up and looking amazing. we are in ga and the hurricane is heading our way right up the state of ga. hope and pray that every thing goes thru ok. and your elephant ears are beautiful and big. thanks for sharing your amazing gardens with us.
I am thinking of you in GA right now as this hurricane goes your way! Praying for your safety, and all in the path of the storm. Be well, stay safe, and looking forward to hearing how you made out afterward!! 🙏
@@mycarolinagarden thank you so much for your kindness and you caring. we are getting nervous the closer that night gets here. hope everything works out for yall there also. and thanks again.
You have done such a great job with the layout of the rock garden. I love the plants cascading over the rocks and others poking up in between. I'm thinking about doing a row of cannas like you have yours done. I'm still playing around with the layout of what will be my tropical garden. I get inspired every time I see yours ❤
First, thank you! ❤️ Secondly, my biggest piece of advice when thinking about the layout of your tropical garden, keep the size of things like jumbo elephant ears in mind 😂 Seriously, I love how mine came together, but my elephant ears are bigger than I expected for my space. Have a great day! 🍁🌺
Thanks Nicole for another beautiful garden tour. I love it all ,epically the banana trees & your beautiful rocks in the rock garden. I watched your video where you brought some back from a vacation quite a labor of love. Till next time 😊
Very nice! Impressed by that cordeline you featured near end of video that stays out all winter. Got to find one of those. Your dipladania seems to be very healthy here in panhandle of Florida my leaves on mine seems to yellow out in full sun. But got my red mandevilla to climb 10’ with lots of red blooms. Again nice work
First, thinking of you, and all in Florida with this storm! Second, wow, 10' of beautiful mandevilla! That's awesome. Must look outstanding with all those blooms! Thanks so much for writing!
Hi Nicole 🌺. Wonderful tour at your garden in Septermber it looks stunning and I love how you keep your tropical plants in the winter . Have a great day . 🌺🌻🌺
Hi Nicole, next season I am going to try key lime dianthus. They are very different looking! Your garden is still in great shape! Things are starting to look ready to cut back here in Southeastern Pennsylvania 😢
I just looked up the Dianthus you're talking about - I love the 2 toned flower! Yeah, it starts to feel a little sad when it's time to cut back. At least you still get beautiful foliage to enjoy! 🧡🍁
How pretty & fresh your garden looks! We have the same taste in plants & flowers, have an inground pool & going for that tropical vibe. (salt is in our blood.) 🌴🌸 I also have 3 palm trees around the pool. I am in middle GA same zone as you & the heat & dryness has been a nightmare this summer for us. I can barely keep up the watering. I have to say it always looks like things are barely making it if they are getting a lot of sun. Thankful for the few shade trees we have. I, too, have issues with those leaf rollers in my cannas to the point I dug most of mine up & gave them away…except for my bengal tiger favorite. I potted some of it up & that seemed to help keep the leaf rollers out. (I’ve gotten to where if I have constant problems with a plant, I get rid of it.) I love your concrete pelican. I have one, too!❤ I have a Bougainvillea (variegated) that I overwinter in the garage along with my plumeria, tropical hibiscus, collection of crown of thorns & a couple of philodendron plants. Sometimes I’ll run a heater when the temps get below 40. Ok, I need some elephant ears. Wow, yours are happy! Thank you for the lovely tour! You’ve given me some ideas. ❤ Your new gardening friend🌻😊
I am so thankful to have gotten your message! It's nice to talk to people who have a similar gardening style, and it's nice that we're in the same zone! I really feel for you with the heat & dryness. The first half of the year here it barely rained. And the sun is so intense, it feels like you'll never keep your plants alive. We installed drip irrigation this year and it changed my life. I 100% agree, if a plant has too many problems or is hard to care for, I don't want it. I love beautiful things, but they have to be easy, too. 😁🌺

Your garden is still looking great. Your season lasts much longer than mine. We are looking at the mums, asters and Montauk daisies.
You still have pretty things ❤️ And thank you!!

Have your elephant ears ever bloomed? Mine just bloomed twice😂
Yes!!!! That was news to me! I had no idea they did that 🤣
