I had followed 2 years ago what you write now, and just after 6 months it became my habit. And now i press back button after watching a reel . Also my mind forgotten that there are many reels below... 😊😊😊
I've been using regain app which blocks reels on yt and insta . That's helping a lot because once I tap the reels section, there is the annoying warning pops up and then it just becomes a habit.😊
Things that helped me and might help you :- 1. Stop using phone immediately after waking up (it is also not good for brain and I've read a research about it), use after 1 hour. 2. Try not to scroll reels (difficult but important) 3. Turn off notifications of social media apps 4. Don't live a sedentary lifestyle, just take a small walk in your room if you're sitting for 1 hour. 5. Do not use phone in public places (just observe the people around you). I personally don't believe in motivation or creating to do list and I don't even believe in resolutions, if you really want to achieve something then you'll do whatever is necessary without waiting for a specific day or date.

I am 19 years old preparing for a competitive exam. Been a people pleaser for the longest time. Really suffered from bad health for majority of my life, especially gut health. During last 8-9 months i chose to eat healthy, keep myself moving, meditate, cutting people off and setting boundaries. For the first time in my life I'm feeling good on my own. Ik this is not all that great but for me, it really is. I am really really young, long way to go. I just have to figure out my way around focusing and being productive. This was the most relatable video for me yet. Thanks bro and happy new year❤
A lot of youtubers talk about this issue shorts/ reels, focus, distractions but I found that you r the only one with no shorts on the channel. That's a really good way of actually doing what u are talking about
really cool video, thanks for sharing ❤... another app I would like to add which might be obvious to some but undervalued by a lot of people is calendar, having things scheduled and visualized for upcoming meetings really helps plan the day out also, a pitfall I went into using todo apps, was that I would create alot of tasks but do nothing, so for that, what I started doing is, select just 3 tasks I want to do, and would only think about making progress in it instead of completing it, and if it doesn't complete in one day, I just note down what progress I made, so that I feel a bit rewarded
I commend this creator for embodying their beliefs and sharing them authentically, unlike others who criticize short-form content while simultaneously producing highly edited reels for increased views.

Even while watching videos or movies, I lose myself in daydreams. My life feels stuck, but I find comfort in RUclipsrs sharing tips on focus. I hope to overcome this someday.
Believe me, deleting social media does help. We are just so much prone and have gotten adaptive to social media, that we get urges to reinstall apps and give in to the urge. It will always start with daydreaming, because we have lost that ability to focus on one task and end up daydreaming. So as Mohak says, start with 25 min sessions. Have goals for the day. One should have clear targets so that you don’t end up just daydreaming. It won’t be easy at first to stop daydreaming. One thing you can do tackle this, is have a small diary and write down why you got distracted and started daydreaming, everytime you get distracted.
Ignore that guy named Bobbie. You will overcome someday trust me, you might have already sought help from a professional if not then seek help. You can do it.

Thanks for this video Bro Most of the strategies mai bhi follow kr rha hu since 2020 Instead of watching useless videos or reels, mai sirf useful videos hi dekta hu related to my channel.

Hello "brother Mohak, your video really gave me the motivation to start focusing on my studies! But as a teenager, I find it hard to shake off my obsession with anime, movies, web series, and gaming. And honestly after watching your video, I actually subconsciously feel like I want to watch even more. I know breaking this habit won’t be easy, but I really want to try!"
Bro, start with your food habit bro. Discipline slowly start karo. Disciple is important. I went from 78 to 62 being disciplined and away from all the anime, manga, manhwa, manhua, webtoon, series, movies, unhealthy food. Then I let go of my discipline, I am 91 kilo now, indulged in all those things.. but have started to being disciplined again. Sleep by 9 or 10. Wake up before the sun does. No phone before 1 hour of bed time. And no phone till 1 hour after wake up, Orr Sab ko kehdo , agar Kuch important haye to direct call dene ko tumbe. I hope you find it useful, and do workout in your home, just 30 min daily and if you can, 40 min of just walking, light workout.
Am I the only one who things the content isn't the problem? Like there are multiple movies and anime particularly that helped me in important factors in life whether it's gym or studies and introduced me to many philosophical ideals and etc I feel like more then the content itself its the amount you consume if you watch anime or any form for 8and 9 hrs then ye you are essentially the problem
both of them are good, its just aevy tv feels like co-orporate / company, while mohak feels more like a personal freind /buddy, so we can relate to him more and connect more, hence the video baisnes
13:58 Hepy New Year Bhaiya 🫂 thx apke experiences share krne k liye.. iss saal actually meh thoda focus Krna padega.. I'm also so concerned about my focus.. studies meh bahut effect kr rhi hai.. insta se tho mukt ho chuka hun.. pura ka pura account he uda k.. but RUclips pr random videos pr time chala ja rha hai.. try krunga ye v nah ho.. great video.. waiting for next one ❤
I can relate and after watching this video, I am genuinely concerned that How can I eliminate the youtube addiction, but as mohak said already i am gonna use external accountability.
12:50 Brother dont keep your phone outside room these are only devices that are capable of long distance communication. Try to just avoid or at least keep a keypad phone at nearby desk before sleep .
Why?You can use phones up until you go to sleep, keep the phone outside and sleep. Even better, set a time - like 1 hr before sleep to end phone or any other screen usage. No need to get the phone into the bedroom at all. It might sound difficult, but I have been able to do it for more than a year now. Seems like Mohak is trying it too. Let him!
@@faaiz2785 I get that, and that was my excuse for the longest time too. However, that anxiety, believe it or not, is part of the addiction. Ask yourselves how often do those emergencies really occur? Or, what people did before cellphones to get word of emergencies. Even if you have a huge house where you can't hear the ring of a phone, or you have kept it on silent or DND, most phones these days have features to ring and increase the volume to max if someone calls you more than once or twice repeatedly (you can customize this). And trust this, it's an incredibly rare chance that an emergency completely misses you; people will find you. So honestly, it's our addicted brains playing tricks on us. You just have to think about it dispassionately, asking whether you feel it's an actual problem or not. If you don't, then more power to you.
@@faaiz2785you are right bro ek baat or bhi hai bro khe ajkal log jiske pass iphone nahi dekhte usse kuch samajte he nahi ye bat mein isliye kar raha hun kyun ke everyone have his own life whatever he do its his/her choice what are your thoughts
You have no idea how much I wanted someone to validate what I am facing currently. I am taking driving lessons and unable to just not be anxious. I did do the uninstalling of social media apps, suffered fomo and reinstalled ina week’s time. The multiple thoughts thing you mentioned, happens all the time. Less to no focus, unable to be in the present. And I know I am so much better than what I am today. I just didn’t know where to start from. Thank you for this. Also, please share the link of Isha foundation meditation class so that I and people who are watching this can also can have some external accountability.
So this worked for me..just go one day without insta.. don't delete it..then continue it for few days ..n fix a day in a week .I use insta one day n then uninstall..crazy I know, but it beats the fomo
The best thing to do is go to power settings options in phone and switchon MAXIMUM POWER SAVING mode. This will allow only 4 to 5 apps to run on the main screen and like this you can avoid all types of distractions.
I'm preparing for JEE..... I use to study like 13-15 a day honestly.... I noticed that whenever I take small breaks and watch shorts on yt, I lose my focus like hell....it will take me next half and hour to regain my original focus to solve question..... Please ignore social media in between your precious time.....rest you can watch for your entertainment
Pretty Helpful Mohak. I have never been a fan of social media, although still find myself addicted to yt reels. Some shorts/ reel blocker that you might have used to avoid yourself from using reels. I find it too difficult to stay away from shorts once I open yt. I find the part too relatable where on waking up, you have to use your phone and have too many thoughts. Are you trying something to deal with that. I thought it has got to be related to the sleep quality or something, but now I realize I have a decent sleep, still struggle with morning anxiety and phone addiction [I done even consume coffee].
🙋 Attention : 1) Delete all social media Apps 2) Silent & Off your all Notifications in top screen 3) Pause RUclips Watch history & Home Page 4) Don't consume short videos 5) Wahi dekho jo aapke kaam ki ho ✅ ❤
Inhi cheezo ki wajah se I Like This guy , Thanks bhaiya me bhi US mehi rheta hu 😊 , as an introvert mene bhi ye sab try kiya tha aur isse bohot acha impact padha meri life per 😃 . Ab me productive hogiya hu . Ab log mujhe jaanane lage hai mera productive / creative circle ban rha hai 😊 and ab me phone ko calls, mails, ke liye use kerta hu.
Finally kisi ne is cheez ke baare baat Kari Mujhe hamesha se focus karne me struggle hota tha par jab se maine short form content consume karna band kiya hai tab se bahut jyada focused ho gya hu aur life ke different decision bhi ache se le pa rha hu ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I recently realized how powerful external accountability is for improving focus. Two days ago, a friend asked me to edit a video for a brand and needed it done within 6 hours. At first, I thought, "How am I going to finish this on time?" But as soon as I started working, the accountability of delivering it to him pushed me to focus completely. Surprisingly, I finished editing in just 3 hours, which is much faster than usual. When I edit videos for my own content, it often takes me 2-3 days for a similar-length video. This experience showed me how external accountability can significantly boost focus and productivity. And thanks for other advices too. Happy New Year 🎉
Such a wonderful video! I loved your authenticity throughout the video! Also I too have been practicing the "phone upward down" formula and have been struggling with regular meditation practice.
This video was so raw and authentic, especially the last part. It seemed you were not speaking today but talking. Also, your body language when you "talk" is very similar to mine. Keep up!
Mohak, indeed you are making simpler for everyone, saving others life indirectly. Hope this video will be most viewed in 2025 and help in building next generation.

Here's things that helped me: 1. Don't use phone (after waking up) before doing your work (like you dont scroll or do anything before you do your homework or you do studies) 2. Learn to reward yourself whenever you complete a task (like it can be your favourite food, smoke a ciggerate or watching favourite show) 3. Dont just study or do the task, review the progress, set some clear goal (write your goals and after completing goals write at the end of the day) 4. Do 10 minutes of mindfulness meditation ( helps to think more clearly) 5. Don't break your sleep schedule (sleep daily at a particular time)

I also fixed my screen time but sometimes I use a lot RUclips and this year I will not gonna waste my time on this app 🙃. And I always avoid phone in the morning time when I wake up I do yoga, watching birds and read newspaper 📰 that's it. Happy new year to all 🎉

Thanks for this video Bro
Most of the strategies mai bhi follow kr rha hu since 2020
Instead of watching useless videos or reels, mai sirf useful videos hi dekta hu related to my channel.
i appreciate that aapne apne team(editing , research , thumbnail...) ke social media links add kiye ,

@muhammadimmamussalehin Thanks bud 👍

Am I the only one who things the content isn't the problem?
Like there are multiple movies and anime particularly that helped me in important factors in life whether it's gym or studies and introduced me to many philosophical ideals and etc
I feel like more then the content itself its the amount you consume if you watch anime or any form for 8and 9 hrs then ye you are essentially the problem
Most needed video bhai... Thanks for all tips, guidance.. It will help me a lot.. BIG THANKS..!!
Yes you are absolutely right i also face all these problems
Hello
Avey TV made the same video but yours is just better. Personally, stopping to make short videos says you are genuine.
Aevy's video quality is awesome.... Be it concept, delivery or production.
mohak mangal's video is more personal, aevy is more like professionally professional (this doesn't make sense but yes)
both of them are good, its just aevy tv feels like co-orporate / company, while mohak feels more like a personal freind /buddy, so we can relate to him more and connect more, hence the video baisnes
@krishjaiswal146 did you just copy my comment LOL?

You can turn of recommendations,
There is a video on how to turn off recommendations,
It halved my time spent on youtube.
I can relate and after watching this video, I am genuinely concerned that How can I eliminate the youtube addiction, but as mohak said already i am gonna use external accountability.
bhai tu kitna pyaara admi hai god bless you keep going
Nice step !!. It is very good that you will stop shorts/reels. Really appreiciate that
What a timing!! I was just about to search for a video on the same topic. Love your work Sir!!
0:10 Ab To 5 ,10 minut bhi nahin Hota 😂😂😂
Brilliant bro😅😅😅😅
Definitely needed this as a 15 year old. Good work man keep it up
12:50 Brother dont keep your phone outside room these are only devices that are capable of long distance communication.
Let him!
@@AMyNag
OP means that he could get emergency calls from anyone.
Imagine if the phone is outside and he couldn't hear an emergency ring from someone.
Can you do a "long" video on the scientific benefits of Meditation? Like all the research papers around it and conclusions out of it?
The best thing to do is go to power settings options in phone and switchon MAXIMUM POWER SAVING mode. This will allow only 4 to 5 apps to run on the main screen and like this you can avoid all types of distractions.
I'm preparing for JEE..... I use to study like 13-15 a day honestly.... I noticed that whenever I take small breaks and watch shorts on yt, I lose my focus like hell....it will take me next half and hour to regain my original focus to solve question.....
Please ignore social media in between your precious time.....rest you can watch for your entertainment
Hello parth vhaii we met again😂
Pretty Helpful Mohak.
I have never been a fan of social media, although still find myself addicted to yt reels. Some shorts/ reel blocker that you might have used to avoid yourself from using reels. I find it too difficult to stay away from shorts once I open yt.
I find the part too relatable where on waking up, you have to use your phone and have too many thoughts. Are you trying something to deal with that. I thought it has got to be related to the sleep quality or something, but now I realize I have a decent sleep, still struggle with morning anxiety and phone addiction [I done even consume coffee].
🙋 Attention :
1) Delete all social media Apps
2) Silent & Off your all Notifications in top screen
3) Pause RUclips Watch history & Home Page
4) Don't consume short videos
5) Wahi dekho jo aapke kaam ki ho ✅

This video makes me feel like he had a 1 to 1 conversation with me. I feel so connected.

Also, your body language when you "talk" is very similar to mine. Keep up!

Why must he? I am proud of him for not trying to take views out of someone's misery. Instead of youtubers making video there needs to be a candle march. Are you ready to come to streets? Here's things that helped me:
1. Don't use phone (after waking up) before doing your work (like you dont scroll or do anything before you do your homework or you do studies)
2. Learn to reward yourself whenever you complete a task (like it can be your favourite food, smoke a ciggerate or watching favourite show)
3. Dont just study or do the task, review the progress, set some clear goal (write your goals and after completing goals write at the end of the day)
4. Do 10 minutes of mindfulness meditation ( helps to think more clearly)
5. Don't break your sleep schedule (sleep daily at a particular time)
