  • GERBER DUAL FORCE MULTI TOOL
In this episode I review the Gerber Dual Force Multi Tool.
For tough jobs, it’s often easier to head back to the toolbox for a proper set of pliers - until now. From predictable day-to-day tasks to the thrilling unknowns of the backcountry roads, the Dual-Force is the replacement for those old dedicated pliers of yours, and then some.
The Dual-Force’s jaws operate like dedicated set of pliers, with a 2 position slip-lock design, and extra-large teeth for unparalleled control.
Center-Axis bit driver operates like a real screwdriver, providing maximum torque and rotation.
The handspan is 47% narrower than competitor tools, allowing for optimal gripping power and 2x the force.
Layered construction adds durability and 2x the strength of the competition.
Included sheath can be worn horizontally or vertically, depending on the task and user preference.

Thanks for the Review and Demonstration.
My brother had four or five Leatherman multi-tools, probably used them for adjusting settings on his dozen electric guitars and two motorcycles. He had a 1972 Honda 750 that he rebuilt as a chopper. Dissassembled it, painted every surface except the tires and seat (and headlamp lens) with hobbits, wizards, dwarves, elves and dragons. He loved that bike, rode it for 40 years.
Gerber tools appealed to me. Got my first multi-toool about the time I moved to live on a small ranch for a few years. Used it for all sorts of chores -- fences, wood shop adjustments, harnesses, gates, hinges, chains, motors, electric fences, pipes & switches... Working in Silicon Valley, I had been doing a lot of camping, just spending a weekend with friends, not trekking miles from a trail.head. Met a lot of folks who used camping as a way to decompress from tech jobs. Tried the SOG ---> much enjoy the mechanical advantage for the GRIP, as the decades have passed.
*_But the CHISEL on the new Gerber is GREAT especially for camp wood craft._*

    Best Wingman.
I found your video extremely informative and fun to watch. I have been working in South African national parks for the best part of 25 years as a Safari guide and Trails manager. My multi-tool - a Victorinox - has been used nearly every day, and needs a bit of rest :)
I have already ordered a DUAL Force, as a result of your thorough review. Thank you.

I'm with you I think the pliers are a much better option than the needle nose. I'm looking forward to the next video on this product. Thanks!

I recently bought one of these to use at a property which I'm renovating, before moving in. It is very good value for the price paid (in the UK about 50% of the price of any of the larger Leatherman models). I still have my original Leatherman PST dating from 1988 but many of the jobs I have tackled with the Gerber would have probably damaged the old Leatherman (and I was keen to avoid that). It should be noted that with a locking blade, it's not EDC legal in the UK and it's really too heavy to carry around most of the time.

Cool design but I received two of them as gifts and broke both of them because Gerber decided to make them from chinesium. Both had plier head breakages from installing a new hose on my pressure washer. This isn't the first to run a chisel. Victorinox multitools have had chisels for years. I wish they'd make a variant of the Center-Drive with a saw and wire cutters that can be used without cracking

Gerber does need to step up they're steel in tools also knife blade took me years to bit the bullet to buy a Leatherman, now I regret not doing it sooner

    뭐라고 해야할까요?
이게 다른 툴에 비해서 쓸모가 더 있는 것 같다는 생각을 합니다.
    다른 것들은 거의 비슷해서....

It's the blunt nose wide jaw pliers that interested me as well. The only tool on the market with similar width and blunt pliers is the crunch and that's getting very very dated. Might be time for an update.

I’m pleased with this tool but if you hold it wrong while using the pliers it keeps slipping in and out of adjustment. Don’t know if it’s all of them or just mine. Thanks for the video! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
