  • This is an introduction to my Secrets of The Long Island Railroad series. The first abandoned LIRR branch I will explore will be the Rockaway Beach Branch.

    Fun Fact: The LIRR still operates under its original charter from the 1830’s to this day!

    Not when Forest Hills Stadium is open. Also, it is the gateway to the shopping and entertainment district on Austin Street.

      This is the new " Elmont station" going over the Cross Island Parkway. It is attached to the new UBS arena home of The Islander hockey club. It is hoped that people will take the LIRR to games and concerts.

    I fart to have banisters in at the forest hills station of the long Island rail road forest hills gardens side of the station.
