I love this time lapse. It's like watching a master designer. I'm a plus size Lolita but I'm working hard to improve at making my clothes. Thank you for your videos!
I've watched this three times already. It blows my sewing noob mind. The op is so beautiful! It really motivates me to sew more so that I can use these patterns as well one day. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope to see more from you soon.
I'd love to see more of these! Otome no sewing, GLB if you have those or any lolita sewing tutorials really. I have a few of the books and there are helpful posts online to using them but I'll always appreciate videos like this that show how to do them.
Hi! I just found your blog! Could you please do some videos on how to use the otome no sewing books? I really want to try making a lolita dress, but besides being a novice sewer, the instructions are all in japanese
Hi there! I'm so glad you asked. Yes, of course I can create more videos focusing on how to use the Otome no Sewing books. Is there a particular project you'd like to see done? Do you own the books, so maybe you could follow along? There's also the way of using them without needing the large pattern papers that they come with, if you're interested.
Thank you! I'm totally interested! I don't own the books because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use them. I really liked the military dress in book 10, uniform dresses are so cute.
@@amandaamacher8535 Hey there! I have a video on this where I draft an A-Line skirt pattern. I'm also drafting a lot live on my Twitch stream if you want to come join us there!
I mean not really inspired, that magazine has the patterns, you just have to do the calculation for your own body to draw them. I hate math, which is why I use printed patterns. But I do agree, the ones in magazines tend to be better since your not dealing with the extra lines for the other sizes. And since they don't have to have as many pages for full sized patterns you can put in more styles. It kinda makes me want to attempt it again maybe I can convince a friend to draw up the measurements for me lol
This is so amazing!!! As an avid collector of the Otome no sewing books im super impressed at your level of skill Aaaa, I want to get into sewing my own clothes and printing my own prints! But with my limited japanese I have no idea how to use the books LOL, also what tools do you use, alongside the material you use for drafting the patterns?
Ai Nikushimi I can sell you a copy of this pattern starting at $19.99. If you need it graded up to your size, I have to add $10 for the grading. Let me know if you’re still interested. My patterns are hand traced on 30” tracing paper and translated, with seam allowance
Just a plain cotton broadcloth. I find different weights all over the place. The most convenient places are from Joann's or Hobby Lobby. But I also like to peruse quilt shops for nice quality prints. Cotton just happens to be the easiest to work with, and the most inexpensive.

What sort of fabric (weight, content...) did you use?
Just a plain cotton broadcloth. I find different weights all over the place. The most convenient places are from Joann's or Hobby Lobby. But I also like to peruse quilt shops for nice quality prints. Cotton just happens to be the easiest to work with, and the most inexpensive.
