They can use a used bottle and fill it with a fake perfume, pack it then sell it, its not even that complicated... also many bottles makers can make bottles just like that
This doesn’t check if it’s real or fake, it can only check if the batch number exists. If the fake uses an existing number, it will give you a verified check with a date.
There is a guy on YT showing a lot of designer drags (FAKE VS REAL). There are a lot factors that play here and batch codes certainly do not provide the confirmation to a 100%.
You’re spreading nonsense. What’s stopping someone from going in a fragrance store and taking a photo of the batch code of the tester (or the box because the box also has it) and using that on their fake product. I agree some absolutely terrible fake’s probably dont have them, but with those people are usually aware that they’re buying a fake product. The problem is the really good ones with a good box, bottle and batch code. The only thing that will be a sure tell sign is the smell. If you think you got something fake get a sample from someone you know is legit or even better try it in store and compere it with yours.
To check batch code need to buy and open it. After buying what is the point to check whether it's original or fake. We need to confirm it before buying
The batch code is meaningless unless there is none on the bottle or the code structure is obviously wrong. They can easily be faked. The best way to tell a counterfeit is to pull the nozzle cap off and compare the entire atomizer assembly to a bottle with a similar batch date that was purchased from an authorized retailer.
@@qusaimousa1 Thanks! If more reviewers would show the atomizer assembly in their reviews along with the batch code, they would be doing more of a service than repeating the notes time and again.
bruhhh i just checked my dior sauvage bottle and it said my shit has been manufactured 3 years ago and its expired LMAO but i bought it this year in like april/may
Bro if it smells alright then it shouldn't be an issue. I've seen vintage perfumes kept under proper conditions still smelling good 20 years on. However if you're worried just spray it on your shirt not on your skin. Cheers
I have a 4 year old bottle of Moustache edp. Its still just fine and twice as strong as current formulations (thats because it got reformulated in 2021, but thats a tale for another time). Basically if you store your fragrance correctly in a cool, dark place that doesn’t have rapid changes in humidity the fragrance can last 10+ years. Just avoid sun light and humidity (bathroom) and you’ll be fine.
Perfumes shelf like by the manufacturer is like 36 months. I think legally they have to put that, however you the user will know when it actually expires and that can be in many years
for me the expired date is just for the shop use..they cannot sell if it expired...but if the smell still good its up too us to use it...i got a perfume more than 10 years old and it still good for me
But what does the atomizer tell us ? I bought an Azzaro Chrome 200ml , it's atomizer is bit shaky and not well made, as my earlier bottle whose atomizer was well built. And previous perfume color was light sea green , and this new parfum color is sky blue like that of Versace Pour Homme. Now what is the fool proof method to identify fake Azzaro Chrome?
Got a fake Haltane with the batch code being legit. I could barely tell by comparison with my authentic carlisle. The dead give away was the scent of Haltane and how it sprayed
No, batch codes doesn’t prove the authenticity of the fragrance. There are many areas that a counterfeited product could go wrong. The common mistakes that the counterfeits have are the font thickness, colour gradient in Dior Sauvage and the box of the bottle
@@melissanacional9662 yes , that’s right. There is a lot of counterfeited fragrance products being imported from Vietnam. Mind if I reach u via Instagram?
Hey Mel...I went to the site and they don't even have all of the fragrance houses in there...I tried to check my code for the The Merchant of Venice, it's not even listed.. "THUMBS UP"🥊🔔
Wrong people are actually copying current legit batch codes and putting them on the box and bottle just like the legit version. It’s as a simple as buying a legit bottle and putting that same code on several bottles . Who would know that that batch code was on serval fake bottles ? They are getting slick with the dupes these days . Just be aware this isn’t a sure way of checking legitimacy.
My batch code doesnt read so its gotta be fake. I checked another video with the box of fakes vs real and the box is legit unless they have upped the game. The batch code on the box is embedded and same on bottle
Good info but counterfeiters are starting to take batch codes off of authentic bottles and put them on fake bottles so it’s really not a solid way of know your bottle is authentic.
I tried with my old christian dior jdore bottle which was purchased in 2008 and it is showing Date of Manufacture as 2014 in the website! Don't think this is legit.
They say the batch codes are reused every 10 years. You may have bought it in 2008 but it was manufactured before that. Therefore it's batch code have been repurposed
@@largeshaftzac8027 I'm been discovering that lately. I recently picked up some backup Amouage, PDM, Terenzi bottles. I used Jomashop and I wasn't disappointed. With the actual bottles to compare with, I received legit fragrances indeed. Well done, Jomashop! I will, however, be slow and deliberate in these sorts of purchases.
They fake the fragrance and bottle and lid. Then all the packaging. Fake the sticker . But then cant find a real four digit number to put on How pathetic was that advice
The problem I see is the counterfeiter can also fake the batch code
That’s why she is a scammer ;)
Yes its true. So how to deal with it?
Have to disagree with this. If someone has gone to the hassle of creating a fake bottle, it's pretty easy to put a legit batch code on the bottom.
DH Gate’s batch codes even checkout and I know it’s fake
Absolutely!
The difference is they may not be able to get it laser engraved

Love love love that you are sharing your layering combinations. Thank you for always striving to add value with your videos Demi
They fake batch codes as well
Been in perfume for 25 yrs, and believr me after year 2000 they used 1 authentic batch code for / serial numbers for multiple bottles
This is by no means a guarantee that a fragrance is authentic. It is one tool you can use though to help you verify👍
There is a guy on YT showing a lot of designer drags (FAKE VS REAL). There are a lot factors that play here and batch codes certainly do not provide the confirmation to a 100%.
@FakeCip
Unfortunately anyone can create fakes and slap a legit batch code on it from a legit bottle to make it seem real.
Thank you!

can this work for beauty items that are not fragrance?
my fragrances batch code didnt show on that website but it showed up on another website.
