You can't call it an amazing performance when you concede to a side as disastrously bad as SKC. Past time for Vermes to step aside if for no other reason, putting a player like Sweat on the pitch. That has to be one of the most horrific performances by a defender ever; holding an attacker on by just being clueless, and then getting sent off for two clumsy challenges.

SKC has had luck with good Keepers. With Jimmy Neilson and Tim Melia. SKC arguably has the worst defense in MLS.
Granted, Pulskamp had let in some really easy goals this season. Today the defense was nowhere to be found and did not feel like tracking/man-marking the midfield or the strikers. Basic defending could've stopped three of Morris's goals.
I am ok with that because this SKC is not up to par. The players are too old, and management does not care. SKC needs a rebuild and get younger, but that will never happen any time soon.
He's right to be mad here, repeatedly hung out to dry by his defense

@@matthewmayorga917 There is a big difference between Cuba and Jamaica. A useful player against Jamaica has a place with the NT. They are generally tough to play against. That is probably the player he is for the US and that's fine. A CONCACAF killer is very useful.
Any MLS scrub in the supplemental roster should be able to boss Cuba.
No shame in not being on the A team for the US. They have good depth all over the pitch.
Wow Leo Chu had himself a night. What a talent, so happy for him. And Morris… well… he was a stone cold killer, put the team on his back.

Leo Chu doesn't play left defender role, which is where Nouhou plays.

I’ve always liked Morris but gotta say was happy he wasn’t called up to the USMNT. He is in a prove it Season form. If he stays injury free a speedy Poacher role may be his best fit. It’s one footed but his heading has always been high quality.
He's one of the luckiest players in MLS, since they gave him so many years to develop

@@manme6051 By those standards, you could argue the same for Nouhou on the Sounders team. His first season he made so many mistakes in his role which costed Sounders goals. I'd be in the stands at CenturyLink Field hearing fans wishing he wasn't on the team. He took a lot of flak his first 2 seasons from fans who didn't think he deserved to play the Left back role.
But Schmetzer said he liked Nouhou and trusted in his ability. He's been a Sounder since 2017.
Yet I'm gonna agree with @RvH and say this comment just doesn't make sense. Especially since Morris is a home grown local talent. It was clear he was quality when Swansea City wanted him on loan. The only thing that's prevented him from doing this sooner in his career was his 2 ACL injuries.
Such a narrow minded take on a fantastic talented player in the MLS.
SKC have only scored 2 goals this season and Morris just scored 4 on you. Not a great start.

As much as I hate the Sounders, good on Morris for rehabbing successfully and getting back into form. Him + Chu look like a great combination

His second wasn’t all that bad but he got out jumped for the head on play for a challenge he knew he wasn’t gonna win and yeah that’s a yellow.

Those goals by Morris were great but those impeccable passes were 80% of why those happened. Amazing teamwork. I feel like we might have had an unfair advantage though given the goalie was obviously a sounders fan as dressed up in rave green.
great play sounders leo chu needs to start more and i think frei should've pushed that first goal wide instead of straight out into the path of the striker. but great performance

@mutha sucka ,what definitely not young lady and I'm not a LAFC fan my team is DC United. LAFC is one of the most exciting teams in MLS to watch and in my opinion has the best depth. They haven't lost a MLS game since last October and have looked good this year in CCL. Matter of fact I believe they are going to win the CCL trophy. Also the only reason they looked a little flat against Seattle last week was because it was their 5th game in nine days. I take it you are a Sounders fan. I'll give you a pass only because you are pretty 😍

As an SKC fan, this one was hard to watch. It started good, but went downhill after the first 25 mins. Hopefully this is rock bottom and we can make some changes and get better from here.
This is the way it has been and they still have the same players and the same old guys who can't compete at this level anymore

this is what ive been saying man, Morris is a nasty striker. if he's ever w the usmnt (which is a big if going forward), then they should have him as a striker. just as physical as Dike, but is way faster and still better in the air. if usmnt gets Balogun then idk if Morris will ever be there for anything but Gold Cups, but he is a good 3rd or 4th option as a super sub. we saw that exact point get proven against ES in the nations league

Using Chu and Morris the correct way (position) provides positive benefits. Morris needs to be a striker, not left mid, and a ball control guy (great footwork) like Chu to attack and create on the left = good combo play.

why is the pitch so horrible?
The grass is doing alright. With the underground heating system, the grass is doing ok, considering it is in the 50s outside, but the underground system makes the grass believe it is 80.
The grass will look better in a week when Kansas city can get into the 70s outside. Then the grounds crew can put down Iron and Nitrogen, and you will see the grass look better.
MNUFC and many teams up north are dealing with the same problems. Cannot do much until a few weeks.
