This video taught me something. And that is, that even if the world is infested with man-eating zombies, world destroying parasites, and human sized arachnids, we will still be scared of... the dreaded *cave sound...*
The parasites themselves fear the cave sound as well
The scariest part of this video always first person view the horror of not knowing what is behind you until it is to late.

@@SevenYT The reason the biome purifier did not work is because it cannot be used on the infested zones that are created by a beckon.
The reason the evolved parasites take longer to kill/blink green is because they're now capable of adaptating to damage. Honestly, the mod was fine until that was implemented because now it makes them even more stupidly stronger than they already are.
Wait... So you're telling me they can adapt to fire damage now?! Because it was flashing green even with the lava bucket poured on top
@@SevenYT Nah they still take fire damage, but they regen their health faster than they take the damage, so it'll take more than that to kill them
@@SevenYT More specifically the more you do 1 type of damage to a single parasite the less damage it will take from that type with SOME becoming outright immune to a damage type after a while. But only the really really strong ones. So be quick. Be efficient. And have variety. (Or if there's an option in the mod menu disable adaptation. Personally I don't think many would blame you since they're already stupidly op for one person anyway.)

Haven't seen anyone else mention, but the reason the biome purifier failed seems to be that those infected biomes have a central "core" you have to find that respawns if there's still Beckons around, but once it's destroyed the purifier can actually function, as tedious as finding that core might be it's the only way to reclaim land they've taken
I was gonna explain why it didn't work but couldn't be bothered, so thanks for doing that
It actually did nothing because it only works on red parasite biomes, which only appear in phase 5 after a beckon reaches its 4th stage of growth. Even then, the purifier just changes the biome ID to a plains, it doesnt remove the blocks. To remove the green parasite infested zones, you have to kill all beckons and ensure that no more can spawn there
If you're looking for mods to use against the parasites I recommend hbm and environmental tech, also sleeping gives the parasites a lot of evolution points so it's best to stay up. Also love the storyline lol.

Seeing how fast the parasites spread, it seems that anything more than 100 days in the same world isn't a wise choice. I know that there are powerful weapons that can be crafted to make survival slightly easier, but still...
Blood moons would be way too much to handle at that point, even from the base I think

You can lower the phase by crafting lures they reduce points or phases. Too craft a lure you get the drops from parasites like Rupters.

@@SevenYT That used to apply for stage 3 beckons but got removed awhile, stage 4 beckons spread a parasite biome that has parasites even stronger and destructive than ancient parasites, if you aren't on 1.9.6+ ignore this though

ah yes the parasite mod, in this case tho, theres only one option for survival. in combination with this, gun mods are necessary if you wanna survive more than 20 days. ive seen atleast 10 different variants of this and it all ends the same, around day 20 they all end up using a creative excuse for reviving, which is fine in general, but the shear power these guys have is insane, (btw love ur content)

After watching several RLCraft series…watching him leave the “education” enchanted book in almost the first chest he opened was painful. I hope he goes back for it eventually. Such a good enchantment if you plan to enchant!! Which given this challenge…I think getting really good enchantments on weapons & armor would be important.
What does that enchantment do? (Genuinely curious, never even seen the enchantment in RLcraft, and i play that modpack when i can-)

When Beckons spawn, the residue they leave behind can repeatedly spawn other Beckons, so remember in future to always kill Beckons, and clean up whatever they leave behind
Well its hard to clean up whatever they leave behind when they have spread too far
@@SevenYT IMO the devs should make the corruption they leave behind become able to be destroyed using fire once the beckon has been destroyed.
Otherwise I would recommend adding vein miner into the pack as that’s the only other way to have ANY chance to clean up corruption. 😕🤷🏻♀️

Also heres some tips about srparasites
The number thing is actually the evolution phase is of the parasites
Primitive , adapted,pure, deterrent and ancient parasites can now adapt to damage types That means if you use a same type of damage on a specific parasite you will eventually will not deal any damage to them ( also works on fire)also gun's will not work cause it foes continuous damage. change to a different damaged type to continue dealing damage
Also all parasites (except rupter, assimilated mobs, beckon stage 1 to 3 )
Will regen their health rapidly after not being in combat
They also drops parasitic cists which consumes nearby items and devours them slowly but surely.
Most importantly !!!!
Primitive, adapted reekers , assimilated cow can charge attack you and it deals a lot, i mean alooooooot !! You can realize it by looking at the faces of the reekers and the assimilated cow are shaking ot not if they are shaking you gotta react reall quick cause it is preparing for the chage attack..
Damn thats a lot of stuff but it is needed for your next adventure 🤠🤠

honestly you removing the assimilated enderman is 100% justifiable. I was playing scape & run on NORMAL and every time i went outside it would teleport 5 parasites on top of me and id die

honestly, never usually been a fan of the story-driven 100 days content, but this has definitely been a pleasant change! I am curious though, what's the phoenix-looking fella' at 1:39? Haven't got to watching the previous parts of this series yet so i wouldn't know if thats explained in one of those.
Questions aside though, surviving 100 days in Scape and Run is definitely an achievement, it's only gonna' get harder with the fact they're adding aquatic parasites - can you even imagine nether parasites with a fire immunity? How would they even balance that?

I think it woulda been funny as hell if at the end of the 100 days he got a transmission that said "you completed the mission however our scanners are picking up a leviathan-class parasite near your location, we cannot extract you from the site while that thing is alive... if you can take it down we will then be able to extract you from the site and if you can't... godspeed"

if it helps you could install the realistic/epic combat mod next; make a in-lore excuse like this time training your battle skills as well not just your survival ones. it will take some getting used to at first, but once you get a proper handle of the mod not only it would make things more badass but also easier

I have different feelings about this 100 days, but I have to say, I liked the story, and the setting of it, thank you Seven for the vid, good thing to pair my meal with.
I saw you were frustrated about the Assimilated Enderman, don't worry. For a normal player-stat gameplay, the Enderman should go out. They are one of the most powerful early game parasites to deal with, and it is indeed kinda overtuned at the moment.
Thoose guys can kill you if they grab an Assimilated Bear with them and teleport next to you with it, the enderman and the bear deals 13-13 points of dmg, wich is 7 heart, that is a one-shot, even with Iron armor. Disabling the guy is totally fine, hopefully he will have a well deserved nerf soon.
I am actually very suprised how slowly the parasites advanced in your world. With the Zombie Awareness mod, and horde sizes like that, parasites would have a lot of body to feast upon, to gather points, when I played with this 2 mods without any changes to the config the Parasites were already on Stage Three, at Day 30-ish.

And ya I was very disappointed with the progression of both the zombies and parasites, so I actually config the file even more to up the spawn rates of buglins and rupters because it was honestly pretty dead, and if I didn't do that, it probably would've taken longer
heres a tip. when you find a zombie horde or parasites chasing you you can use your grappling hook as a small boost (point grappling hook at hill or ground)

Good riddance, the worst parasite of them all. It has no cool downs, it can drop enemies on top of you and twitches too much and moves too fast to hit. It's said it's on purpose but honestly they just don't know better.

Could u do other 100 days of parasites? I heard, the mod got a few updates, like new parasites and new ambient sounds for a few parasites!
I just survived 23 days until an adapted manducater mined through my cave and killed me two hit😮...
And small hint: parasites can now adapt to several weapons, not damage types.
At example: u attack a adapted bolster with a diamont sword. It will take less damage, the longer u hit the bolster. U could switch to another weapon to do some more damage, but after a few hits even the weapon won't do less damage on time
The next time I come back to this I want to be able to possibly get a map created with random weapon loot and guns, so may be a while

Fun watch, though I have to say - im not sure if you noticed, but parasites dont actually spawn from vanilla spawners, they need their own way to exist and spread, otherwise the mod could be rendered useless

@@SevenYT nah 1 turn off creeper spawns 2 make sure there's no mods that allow the creation of gunpowder 3 make sure the only way to get gunpowder is via bunkers and make sure these are heavily guarded because the general rule is guns are only as useful as long as you have bullets

30:33 I know there's a parasite that goes invisible a lot and can triple hit you for insane damage. (I don't remember what it's called lol. Reaper I think? don't quote me.) If that's what hit you, it probably didn't do that much damage since you were still in Phase one/in diamond armor. Then again I don't know if that thing even spawns in Phase one but yeah, lol! If that's not it then idk. Still, love the video so far! Just paused to comment this XD.

That's the Primitive and Adapted Manducators, I think.
Reekers are the ones that build up for a charge and then hit you with a ton of damage without any I-frames...aka the thing that keeps attacks from hitting you _several times a second._

Really wanna see someone use the ampz/voltz mod with the parasite mod. Would be interesting to see incorporation of large explosives and missiles to counter large infestations. Only thing I could think of when seeing the really large cluster was to nuke it lmao. Cool video had a good time with it!
My friend and i made a modpack with icbm and techguns, we also have galactic craft and avaritia (the infinity armor mod) which terrifyingly the parasites in phase 8 can DAMAGE YOU THROUGH THE ARMOR THATS SUPPOSED TO DISABLE DAMAGE

When i did this map, I dug a trench. Put trapdoors and opened them. Hoppers and chests. Perfect for funneling, xp, and getting loot
