21 has the superior player models with Frostbite’s “ Strand” tech. 22 is clearly a downgrade from that aspect. Would be interesting to know why, I assume the addition of Hypermotion and other features made the game more resource intensive. Thus the cut back in visuals.

Other than that, I liked the new, thinner hair design (on hairs, not beards). Looks a little more natural. Anyways, and in every way, EA is, and always will be, crap.

Imagine buying the same game every year with some improvements over the last. I'd probably do a 2-3 year gap in between or by skipping few titles, like I do with racing games. However, for racing games I usually stick to one for each gen. Also, 22 looks like the grass, grass sharpness, shaders, beard and hair details, skin detail and shadow quality was lowered down from max graphics to medium/high. Plus there's this weird blue/cold filter in 22 as well. Yes, some of the thing I mentioned also don't look superb on 21 either, maybe if EA made a new FIFA game once every 2-3 years they could accomplish so much more. Besides it's not even 2022, why release it now?
Yep thats what I did. Bought fifa 17 back in 2016 and only just upgrade to fifa 22. Furthermore the only reason I upgraded was cause Fifa 22 was 90% off on steam thus only $9
