    Love the way you guys showcase homes. You have a fun twist to it with your banter. She is quite naturally funny, specially in your outtakes.

    Something like this in New York City would be about $12 - $18 million.

      If it was a couple neighborhoods over in Lincoln Park, it would be much more expensive as well

    Actually to the ceiling is a comment I can appreciate.
    My old place in Warsaw had literary a staircase that runs into the ceiling….. during WW2 the top floor was shot off….. they never build it back.. hence a staircase that runs into the ceiling…..

    Beautiful home.. But what are the specs? You have to give the specs... Square footage, number of bedrooms, parking spaces.. I need those. I'm interested in the property

    I would have the courtyard fence taken away & the wall continued. No way I’d want people looking in & trying to hop the fence, trash coming in, etc…

    I'm planning a move in the next two years. What are property taxes in Chicago?

    • @gitgeronimo9375
      @gitgeronimo9375 8 месяцев назад +2

      Some of the highest in the country

    • @Guy_de_Loimbard
      @Guy_de_Loimbard 8 месяцев назад +1

      Outrageous, and only going to get worse. I'd estimate the property taxes on this house to be between $5,000 and $6,000 -- not per year, PER MONTH.

    • @DailyRants89
      @DailyRants89 8 месяцев назад +2

      They’re expensive for sure. Probably one of the worst parts about owning in Chicago. You just have to prepare and budget accordingly but know that they will more than likely go up in the future.

      @andreisavtchenko  8 месяцев назад +2

      Around 1.5% of sale price. Reach out if there’s anything I can do to help.

    • @Guy_de_Loimbard
      @Guy_de_Loimbard 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@andreisavtchenko sure, maybe it's only 1.5% for the city's cut. Add in the county and all the other municipal taxing districts and it's well over 2%. That is of course unless you can afford to hire a politically connected law firm to file an appeal for you. And with a starter house in a decent neighborhood running somewhere between 400 grand and half a mil, you're easily looking at 8 to 10 grand a year just for a basic, no-frills habitable home in a habitable neighborhood. In short, you're basically renting your own house from the government so that mid-level bureaucrats can retire at 58 with their 2 million dollar pensions.

    My gosh, the person buying this home would really have to like a lot of black "moodiness." This house is anything but cheery or tranquil. Wherever one looks, one's eye is assaulted by some stark and inescable black thing to interrupt the view. Just not my cup of tea, I suppose.
