Oh dear! The happy memories of childhood, watching this with my dad and hearing my mum’s amazing laugh from somewhere around the house as she heard some of these funny lines and my dad calling her…’ come and look 👀 at what they’re doing now!’ Trying to distract her from her housework…’come on and sit down, you gotta see this!’ Hahahaaar🤣 oh, how we laughed! We used to also watch LoveThy Neighbour and they would always watch On the Buses! Keeping up Appearances was a favourite of mine and A Good Life, my brother and I loved watching The Young Ones too! Hilarious British comedy!!!
    🤗🇦🇺💖✌️

My hubby and I are fans of Monty Python too! A whole other level of comedy!
One of my favourites is Love Thy Neighbour with Eddie and the little old man at the Pub who always says…‘I’ll have a half!’ Every time he orders a beer 🍺 and he sits on that for hours!! Hahaahaaar🤣
    🍺🤜🤛🍺

@@Ivorbiggin "Cockney villain? Cockney villain!?" :D
      And...
"I tell you what, though Jumbo, you can't tell that's a wig."
It's the same actor who played Jumbo the Australian who offered a business deal with Del, and the same Australian who bought the rusty old car with automatically opening windows and one speed windscreen wiper.

The outdoor scenes were filmed in Balby, Doncaster, S.Yorks, my home suburb. I lived about a mile away from there (but in a modern area), and at one time, a mate of mine lived in the flat above the shop. It's a genuine corner shop but looks different, and is right next to an industrial estate.

I believe the shop was a Hairdressers when this filming was carried out

    Quick Fun Fact.
    First 5 minutes.
The bloke who helped him in with the bad eye also worked with David Jason in only fools when he bought the dodgy car and the woman wanting French Cigarettes was Dels physcho ex who left the phone connected to the Talking Clock in America also on Only Fools

Bygone all these gems of British comedies... We may laugh back then... Not today anymore... Unfortunatelly... Nothing to laugh about it... As if no more gifted British playwriters.. Where did they dissapear!?Are they coming back soon!? This generarion should laugh too...😂😢
