35 years I've been coming to tPaphos up until 17 years ago 36 times I went there, I met my now Wife there, got engaged there and Married there. Just watching this and listening to some Taverna music makes me want to go back even though I know it won't be the same, no Bar St (as it was) no Hollywood with Con & Laurie, God I loved Laurie, the Rose Pub with Nick et al. They all came to our wedding such great times. As long as the Cypria Maris is still as good I think we may go back my wife, after getting me spread my horizons travelling, I beleive really wants to go back too. I know how different it will be and how the local authority have, imo, destroyed the skyline, I beleive it was once only a maximum of 4 storey's? Or I may check out their sister hotel next door. That new tower block opposite Sodap Beach doesn't look too bad now it is close to completion. Is it going to be a hotel or expensive luxury apartments?
I agree, the cladding definitely makes it look a lot less imposing. It is going to be apartments. Apparently the top floor already has a five year waiting list.
