I don't mind silicones if the product is really good and has good ingredients. We just gotta be mindful to use a shampoo that has ingredients to remove silicones like Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate for people who don't use sulfates. The problem is when we don't use clarifying shampoos often enough and I have to be better at that too. I like this video and I'm definitely interested in seeing your recommendations from other hair stores.
That’s exactly what I said in the video! The major problem with silicones for us naturals is that many do not use shampoo. If a natural/curly is just cowashing they’re never going to get the silicone out, which leads to build up and dry hair! So if one doesn’t shampoo, it’s best that they just steer clear from silicones period! 🤦🏽♀️ I think many are afraid that shampoo will dry their hair out, but that’s not the case:( Thank you soo much!! And I think someone mentioned Sally’s beauty, so I might go there next!! 😍😍😍😍
Such a fun video. You took us shopping 🛍 without leaving home. My hair hates silicones, they block moisture in my hair. Please do more shopping videos. For example, Burlington’s, TJ Maxx, and Target would be fun.
I am so so happy that you enjoyed this content!!! Thank you!!!😍😍😍 I think for the next one I’ll do Sally’s!! Here is my Target one: ruclips.net/video/m5AAHBJ0EY4/видео.html Tjmaxx video: ruclips.net/video/yhbHsu0xepk/видео.html
I love walkthrough videos, because you can see what the stores have in the comfort of your own home😆😂, the Nu- grow looks very interesting, I never heard of them before.I would love to try them for my girls. The ingredients are not bad at all for the price. Hope I can find the brand in my local beauty supply.
This was soooooooo helpful!!!! Thank u 💓. I’m learning so much about products- do’s and don’t’s. I didn’t realize they were putting so much garbage in our products. 😢
@@MaiaBrown Exactly and I love that they’re made by black women! I always wondered why my hair was always so dry brittle and wouldn’t grow healthy now it all makes sense- it was all the junk that was in the old products I used to use
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed the recommendations!! Wetline dried my hair out so bad when I tried it, but it does work for a lot of people! 💖💖
I TOTALLY get it! Lol 😂😂 I’m the same way! I was hesitant to try the pre pops from African pride and Just for me, but they are actually really good with good ingredients!
Thanks for showing this, but the local beauty supply stores here in the tri-county area (Hinds/Madison/Rankin county Mississippi aka the “Jackson Metro” area) is NOTHING like yours! The ones here are not as neat and clean, and they don’t carry hardly any of the “good” natural hair product brands. Granted, I haven’t been to one in YEARS because they’re all in the high crime areas, but I don’t think they’ve changed much. Glad to see the representation in your area, and great tips!
Oh no! I’m sorry! 🥲 You’re right, I’ve been in a couple of hair stores in MS, and they don’t have these types of products for some reason. That’s really sad considering the black population in MS is pretty high. Thank you for watching! 💖💖
@@MaiaBrownLol, I'm jealous you have a store like that. Not nearly as much selection in my rural Ohio area 😕. My bank account probably thanks me though.
I get my oils like hemp seed oil castor oil from Walmart in the isle where you’d find like the supplements and stuff . And the wild growth oil are good as the ingredients details . My top tier brand is the mane choice been using them for 3 years now.z
Happy VLOGMAS DAY 2!! 🎄

Products like a rinse out conditioner with silicons are fine but as a styling product I’d rather not pick those up tbh.
