On the pk when Marchand scored I'm guessing he was worried about a deflection from the point so he was coming out right on top of bruins in front but he should've noticed Marchand all open on the side. Same thing happened with the Pasta goal in game 1 . He normally does not play like that and he usually anticipates those kind of plays . Woll is home grown..guess would make a good strory but I haven't seen spectacular play from him so far. Good goalie though will also let in a bad one.

Meanwhile Sammy is allowing goals from a distance at a bad angle when there's no screen. Edmonton won 1-0 last night after being outshot 30-11. You're allowed to expect some saves from your goalie. I'd say it's more important than "a plucky attitude".

Thank the good Lord for experts like Kyper 26:27 to 27:00. While all other "experts" are jumping on the bandwagon of shouting, screaming, cursing and hating Mitch Marner, trying to be a part of headlines , it is refreshing to hear some common sense from a guy that speaks with a level head and wont jeopardize the future of an elite member of the Leafs, we have lost enough of them based on rants and poor management decisions. Stop dumping on Marner, Mathews and Nylander. This team has more holes in it than a sponge. Start by firing Shanahan asap. Fire the PP and PK coaches. Mathews, Marner, Nylander, Domi, Knies, Bertuzzi, Tavars (next season only), Woll, MacCabe, Benoit, Rielly, Macmman should be untouchables for next season, dump the rest and rebuild.

591 I know that it is a easy answer, but think about it. first it was management so they change it, then it was coaching so they changed it, than its no key players, so they changed it. and so on and so on. Nothing works. Once a team makes the playoffs, they need to beat in a series 4 other teams to win the Stanley Cup, let that sink in just a second. That is 1 more than the entire league back in the Early 60's, which was the last time a Toronto Maple Leaf team won a Cup. So what really needs to change is the Team! Sell Them, move them, change the home ice, Change the team colors. But just get rid of the franchise and bring in some thing completely new. How many NEW Franchises have won a Cup since the Leaf's last won? Almost all of the new franchise teams have. The last team to win was St. Louis and they were one of the first new teams to be added and even they finally won again Before the Leaf's. IT's the Franchise, Get rid of the entire Franchise. Right down to the door man , the janitor, hell even the bricks in the building. Its time to flood someone's back yard and start developing 5 year old's, who have no clue who the LEAFS WERE, they will never be again the team we all deserve. Thank you and Good Bye Leaf's. 456

I agree with Kipper, they seem unorganized. It is one thing to be talking about what you want to do as a group, but there seems to be a lot of individual play, and a lack of organization, like Nylander leaving the zone, Marner getting down too low, Mathews at times gets stuck in a shooting spot and leaves late on the back check. It is standard stuff when we have the puck we do this, and get to the net, when we lose the puck we do this.
    That is not happening.

This is suppose to be MECCA. You don't get away with this effort here. Block pucks, storm the net, figure out a way!!! We got stuck with a bunch of pop stars who don't want to win bad enough.

    A few points.
Medical is personal information and should not be of anyone else's knowledge for their opinions.
Play thru a Stomach issue? What if it is diarrhea (the runs)? To be on the bench need to go to the washroom take equipment off, suit up, run back. Not a practical situation. Best to stay out.
I think the first line returns to
    Matthews, Marner, Nylander
    Try defense
    Riley and Domi
    To get the first goal.
Why? So that Boston is unlikely to double team one leaf player. If Boston plays man on man, then it's based on personal talent to find space and do something to the net. Separating the top players allow Boston to cover key players and prevent the leafs moving the puck well.
