In Doom vfr(the game set just after Doom 2016) the cyberdemon is resurrected once more as a boss fight, and of course he dies at the end of the battle, but it's probably still around somewhere in hell, because I'm sure that if the slayer wasn't able to kill him, absolutely nothing can

Everyone commenting as if this was a one sided fight, but really it’s pretty evenly matched, lore wise. The Doomslayer is to humans as the Cyberdemon is to demons. The only demon that won’t run. Two rivals both loaded to the teeth and refuse to die.
There are actually multiple demons that wouldn’t run actually. Perfect examples would be the Icon of Sin, Marauders, Doom Hunters, and Gladiator.
They are evenly matched in courage, but the Slayer has killed the icon of sin and the Champion of hell, so they are far apart in strength
All the other demons are cowards but i am brave
Especially, don’t forget that Doom Slayer is, actually, Doomguy from Doom 1, Doom 2: Hell on Earth and Doom 64. So Doom Slayer and Cyberdemon are, actually, arch-rivals, starting from the beginning (this is, especially, supported by the fact, that Cyberdemon don’t afraid Doom Slayer, it simply hates him and wants destroy the protagonist).
So thats making that the cyberdemon didn't fear the doom slayer

@@dabobuduk5644 that's literally the story of the cyberdemon, he was found in pieces and was resurrected or some shit using the argent energy thing you rip off of him to get teleported and got the "cyber" parts attached to him, thus creating the Cyberdemon.

2B He wanted revenge. He’s pretty much the only demon in the game who isn’t afraid of the DoomSlayer. Which is extremely badass when you think about it. The Cyberdemon is so hungry for vengeance. He doesn’t fear the godamn DoomSlayer.
He himself is to blame for that, have him not cursed his family swearing to kill his descendants. And boy did the descendant he ended up was the worst. For him.

My favorite part about the Cyberdemon is that he doesn’t even wait for the door to open and just quickly grab the Doomslayer to throw him inside of the room, he clearly wanted that fight

The cyberdemon is a Chad. he remembers the slayer who killed him years ago and basically goes "I ain't afraid of you bitch" he's one of the only demons that don't fear the slayer.
Mofo had to kill his ass three times to out him down. Slayer met his equal

This guy finished the Cyberdemon on 17 health while I couldn't do it on 50-100 health!

I think I much prefer the bosses in this game over eternal. They don't throw additional demons, instead relying on a variety of unique attacks that demand your attention. The fights here feel more focused and somehow polished.

@@ogs_Boga1900 Nah, they definitely just went for the retro DOOM/Quake art style. Was way before God of War. Problem is that it's a clearly outdated art style. Looks good for back then, but is quite ugly when you improve the visual technology backing it. Color palettes don't mesh; not enough complimentary colors, texturing and detailing is not well-proportioned with various models and objects (minimalistic vs modern). The whole game is just kind of ugly. 2016's art style was much more complimentary and consistent, which led to much better visuals.
Eternal has (mostly) better technology behind its visuals.
2016 had a stronger grasp of art and direction.
What pains me about Eternal is that they were criticised heavily for much of the game on it's first footage (as was 2016), but unlike its predecessor they were hard headed and didn't make the proper adjustments.
It's literally just the lighting, and Eternal tries to be more arcade-like

On 17 health... that was a close fight
This thing I have been waiting for ever since starting Doom 2016 last month.
I love this fight. The intro, his design, his new attacks, his arena, his weaknesses, the glory kills and the surprise second phase.
I just killed him. Needless to say, I was in a slight panic. Some of his attacks were just brutal. He lured me in with a false sense of security the first time I shot him with the BFG9000 and he dropped health. That nearly cost me my life. Surprisingly, I killed him on my first try. It was mainly Gauss Cannon and Rocket Launcher to try and bring down this unholy behemoth.
That ending? Pure awesomeness! Slicing off the top portion of Cyby's head with his own horn was pure poetry in motion!
Very fun fight. Glad my Switch could hold up to the showdown of powerhouses.
What would've made this fight more fun and heart racing is if Cyby didn't have a health bar. Imagine how that would be.
I like designs of the weapons in 2016 doom better for some reason. The sci fi really appeals
I like the Gaus Canon too. and between the rocket launcher here and ethernal. The one in ethernal looks out of place, it feels more of a magical weapon woth the skulls on the sides and that energy thing in the midle, are those even rockets or just magic bolts or somw shit?
Remember back in the day when the cyber demon would infight and you could just run to the end of the level

This is the most frustrating boss fight I ever experienced especially when you play Doom 2016 on Ultra Violence difficulty. I finished the game on Ultra Violence difficulty and I died many times as much as I remembered. The Cyber demon was much tougher and brutal than the previous games. I had to be Indiana Jones from outer space to beat this boss with efforts of course.
Honestly it's pretty easy compared to previous fights, you just gotta time the dodges and use the BFG, gauss cannon and rpg.

There's a reason these old school games like Duke Nuken, Quake, Half-Life, and Doom rock so much compared to Call of Duty. Most of their remakes are awesome.

First time I played this was in console, surround sound blasting in a pitch black room. When he puts his claw through the door I almost had a heart attack
I gotta day it, over all everything is great just the weapons recoil lacks oomph, like it needs more balls

Am fighting this guy..first fight wasn't as hard as I thought but the second round is tough I'm aiming for the achievement!! He knocks me down to a little health.i had him but he killed me too ..this fights epic..the fact you fight him twice.
My favourite part of this bossfight is that look this guy gives the Slayer. You can feel him recognise and hate you.

Kept dying at the second phase and always restarted with 4 of health. A miracle i made i through
This boss fight was WAYY easier than most of the combat parts i had on the game before, like the cyber demon look very intimidating at first and i thought I would spend at least an hour just trying to beat him, but i got a huge disappointment because he was very slow, i could dodge his attacks very easily and his size made it easier to completely shred him with the gauss cannon and the machine gun, hitting him multiple times on the head
